Shreyas Iyer played an exceptional knock of 92(98) and was on course to get a hundred until he got out stumped. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja, who were top scorers in the previous test, are back in the hut. Lasith Embuldeniya has bowled exceedingly well to get both of them out.

Rishabh Pant is up for a quick chat. He says that the pitch didn't turn much in the last two sessions on Day 1. Adds that the wicket was on the slower side but it got better to bat on as the game progressed. Tells that the pink ball moved a lot in the last session and they bowled well. Mentions, he tried to keep it simple and played the ball on its merit when he went out to bat.

Sri Lanka do not have much batting left as Niroshan Dickwella is their last recognized batter in and they would hope that he bats deep and they get as close to India's total as possible. India, on the other hand, will come out all guns blazing and they'll be keen to wrap things up quickly and get a healthy first innings lead.
