India Vs Sri Lanka, 3rd T20I Match

⭐️Everybody likes to be a winner.⭐️

⭐️And it’s not just the fact that they’re winners. It’s the way they secure the win, the near-heroic feats that allow them to come out on top, the hours of hard work, dedication, and discipline that make them a winner. They are the ones we look up to, from the athletes we idolize to the hard-working entrepreneurs we admire.⭐️

India Vs Sri Lanka series is sealed due to some heroics from Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, and Ravindra Jadeja.

It's pleasing as it allowed India to sort out some issues faced in the last few years. The middle-order took responsibility after the top-order failed, and showed incredible flexibility.smiley10

With Jadeja excelling at five, India can be more flexible and add to the bowling and batting depth, giving them more options.

Sanju Samson looked good as well after struggling initially and Shreyas Iyer is on fire with two fifties in a row.

The death bowling didn’t go so well, but the Indians won’t mind and would rather look at it as a learning lesson as the team is looking to tick boxes.

For Sri Lanka , the death overs with the bat, intent, and aggression were spot on. With the ball, upfront Kumara bowled one of the best early spells in recent times.

He had Kishan in trouble with his pace and could have made an impact had he got an extra over in the spell. The bowling after the powerplay though was poor and the fielding was nowhere near international standards.

There were a lot of fumbles and misjudgments allowing India to get a good 10-15 runs extra.

Rohit Sharma looks intent on backing the current group and the most we can see is an adjustment to the bowling attack as someone like Siraj gets an opportunity with Bumrah resting ahead of the Test series.

Sri Lanka may look to bring Dickwella in for Chandimal.

There were 15 sixes hit in the previous match and we don't think that either team really made use of the conditions to its max. The ball travels in the air in the high-altitude and the fastpitch also plays its role.

Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of this game after having suffered a blow to the helmet while batting in the second T20I on Saturday. Kishan underwent a precautionary CT scan, as advised by the team's medical staff, and was subsequently discharged after a brief period of observation for concussion at a hospital in Kangra. A BCCI statement, released on Sunday, said the scan's findings were normal. "The BCCI Medical Team," the statement said, "will continue to closely monitor his signs of concussion."

In the absence of Kishan, Mayank Agarwal could get a game and Samson could keep wicket.

Shreyas Iyer made sure to continue his good form as he smashed a stylish fifty before Ravindra Jadeja slammed 45 in 18 balls helping India defeat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the second T20I in Dharamshala yesterday.

As the two sides are set to face each other again on Sunday for the third and final T20I, India will be aiming to make it three clean sweeps in a row at the same venue.

Chasing 184, India had got off to a bad start as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over. Later Ishan Kishan could also not manage to put much runs on the board. However, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja ensured a comfortable victory for the Men in Blue.

With the win in the second game, India also sealed the three-match T20I series 2-0 with a game to go.

India : 1 Rohit Sharma (capt), 2 Ishan Kishan (wk), 3 Shreyas Iyer, 4 Sanju Samson, 5 Deepak Hooda, 6 Venkatesh Iyer, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Harshal Patel, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Yuzvendra Chaha

Sri Lanka : 1 Danushka Gunathilaka, 2 Pathum Nissanka, 3 Charith Asalanka, 4 Janith Liyanage, 5 Niroshan Dickwella (wk), 6 Dasun Shanaka (capt), 7 Chamika Karunaratne, 8 Dushmantha Chameera, 9 Jeffrey Vandersay, 10 Lahiru Kumara.

After registering a rampant 62-run win against Sri Lanka in the first T20I in Lucknow, India defeated the visitors by seven wickets in the second game to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Shreyas Iyer (74*) put on 84 runs off 47 balls with Sanju Samson (39) for the third wicket as India recorded their 11th consecutive win in the shortest format. India fumbled early at Dharamsala as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

But Iyer anchored their chase with second consecutive fifty as the hosts romped home with 17 balls to spare. T. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have lost six of their last seven T20s and need to break this losing streak.

Rain was in the forecast for the second T20 but didn’t show up. Spectators may not be as lucky for the third as rain is still in the forecast for the India Vs Sri Lanka game. In case rain stays away chilly weather is expected in the India Vs Sri Lanka encounter.

Pitch Report

The surface for the second India Vs Sri Lanka T20I saw swing early on and runs later. The ball was coming onto the bat nicely and runs seemed very easy to get.

Sanju Samson is likely to bat in the top order and will get plenty of chances to score. He is in good form and showed just how dangerous he can be in the previous match. He is the kind of batsman that can score more than 20.5 in one over alone and we are happy to expect more from him in this match! smiley4

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is in brilliant touch with two aggressive fifties in two games. He is making a statement as he looks to seal his place in a side full of competition. The two fifties are likely to have sealed the Man of the Series award for him but Iyer will still want to continue with a big score in the final game and go into the Test series with lots of confidence.

Lahiru Kumara

Kumara was brilliant in the early stages of the innings. He bowled sharp bouncers, maintained high pace and was just plain old aggressive. He will be a treat to watch in the India Vs Sri Lanka Test series but for now has another T20 to look at. His death bowling is still a concern though and he could try and prompt his captain to give him an extra over in the powerplay.

Rohit: Very happy, we wanted to bowl first as well. Every opportunity counts. We didn't want to take a chance with Kishan. Bumrah, Bhuvi, Yuzi - all are rested. Bishnoi, Kuldeep, Avesh and Siraj come in
