LOL .. Arent Aussies supposed to be an ace test team 😉 , so they should have atleast a better middle & lower order which can get them to a respectable score.if top order fails . Another problem is all 3 of their reliable batsmans are at 1,2,3 so if two fail their tail automatically starts with no one really providing any significant contribution later on.Originally posted by: HippoSucks
If Vijay, Kohli and Rahane go out early, Indian batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If de Villiers, Amla and du Plessis go out early, South African batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If Cook, Root and Bell go out early, England's batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If Sangakkara and Matthews go out early, Sri Lankan batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If Azhar, Misbah and Younis go out early, batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If Williamson goes out early, New Zealand's batting will go down like a pack of cards.
If Gayle and Chanderpaul go out early, West Indies' batting will go down like a pack of cards.
All teams are reliant on 2-3 players, Australia isn't an exception.

& most of ur assesement is wrong .. Shafiq & Sarfaraz at 6 and 7 have done better than PAK's top order in recent times. U saw what Stokes did against NZ at Lords and what Moeen is doing in this series. NZ is dependend on Kane ? 😆 , it is Watling who has been the unsung hero with the bat since the last one and a half year not to mention Latham's form.
LOL .. those 4 tests of Aus at home against a mediocre Indian bowling helped their record otherwise they were owned by a 36 year old darter in UAE earlier.Originally posted by: HippoSucks
New Zealand and Pakistan are slightly different cases as most of their players have similar batting ability. However they have been reliant on their best batsman - namely Williamson and Younis.
Stokes averages 36... One or two innings here and there doesn't make him a reliant middle order batsman. Watling was out of form last year and hardly played any noticeable innings other than his 124... What form is Latham in? He averages 31 this year. He has done little apart from that 84.
No team has a middle order even remotely as strong as their top 3 batsman. South Africa are the best team in the world and their middle order is nothing to be proud about. A country can be a good test team with 3-4 world class batsman and 4 others that do well only occasionally.
Batting records of the middle orders of all the teams from 2014 (South Africa's record is boosted by de Villiers batting at #5):
