Is your iPhone 5 damaged?

The bad news for Apple this morning is that the anodized aluminum back of the iPhone 5 is apparently very easy to damage. As many as 40% of iPhones are being removed from their box with scratches and scuffs already present. After a few hours use more will appear even if you're being careful.

The only way to protect your iPhone 5, if you are lucky enough to get one without damage already present, is to buy a case. If you purchased an iPhone will you buy a case for it?
