Ace comedian Kapil Sharma, who has become a household name post the success of his comic show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the upcoming elections 2014 in Delhi. However, what's surprising is that the popular stand-up comedian doesn't have a voter ID card.
Kapil, who has turned 33 today revealed about the same during his birthday celebrations that took place on the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil, "I feel honoured that I've been selected to be the brand ambassador of the upcoming elections in Delhi. I will do my best to reach out to people and spread the message to vote. But mujhe ye bhi lagta hai ki main unko kis muh se bolunga vote karne k liye kyunki mere khud ke paas voter ID nahi hai...(laughs)."

The comic actor also took this moment to urge people to vote, he said, "I think everyone should vote and bring good people in power. I believe that like we celebrate different festivals in our country, the same way we should actively participate in elections and vote."
Kapil, who has emerged as an icon on Indian Television credits his mother for his success, "Like there is always a woman behind a man's success, the same way my mother is behind my success. I am very lucky to have parents like them. She always supported me and gave me freedom to choose my field. So whatever I am today is only because her blessings and support," concludes the actor.
