Try to buy a copy at a bookstore if you can though, or even get the nook book (e-book) from Barnes and Nobles. Trust me, you will want your own legal copy to adorn with highlights and post-its.
Anyways, other books? All of John Green's books (personally love his 'Looking for Alaska' which I feel will be our generation's 'Catcher in the Rye' and I also loved 'An Abundance of Katherines'). Other than John Green, I'd recommend (obviously) the Harry Potter books because they are just perfection, to create your own world and be affiliated with the nooks and crooks of something intangible was certainly commendable on J.K. Rowling's part. Also, "If I Stay" by Gayle something, can't remember her name right now, I think it's Gayle Foreman but I'm not sure. There's also "It's Kind of a Funny Story' by Ned Vizzini. I can't name 'em all but these are probably my most favorite book of contemp. times. From the classics, I like "Pride and Prejudice" and "The Great Gatsby" (the movie sucked so badly, read the book).
I'll let you know if I can think of more mentionable ones, sowwy.
Oh and recently, I've been trying to get a hold of "Fangirl" which I heard is actually a good book by my peers (I made the unforgivable mistake of judging the book by its name, I thought it was a cool name but I for some reason felt that it was going to be Teen-fluff and immature which I've heard it's not). But I haven't read it yet so don't know.
