Barbosa's entry should have been a high point in the show. It was supposed to be a big, bloody showdown... But they just had to show ACP Pradyuman dead and bring in a new one.

I know what you are saying but sadly this is what itv or this whole entertainment industry has become these days they have the quote any publicity is good publicity quite seriously I am talking about whole industry here not just this show this whole industry is thriving majorly on negative publicity

Also, completely my personal opinion: even if they have to bring in someone as a temporary replacement, they should at least bring someone that fits the part.

That's true... Entertainment industry these days is indeed thriving on negative publicity. They do believe the statement that any publicity is good publicity... And to be honest, it's kind of working too. Because I don't think this forum has been this active during the days where there is no episode. So, yes in a way, this tactic did work. We are indeed discussing the show more right now.

Precisely... Parth as an actor and according to his age fits the role of a junior officer. From what I saw in that random bts on YouTube, he doesn't fit the whole persona of a leader.

Why do I feel they're recycling the ACP Prithviraj track? It worked in 2005 because both inspectors were younger which meant a young ACP didn't look odd. And Rajeev was a good actor.

Parth isn't just a bad actor, he doesn't have the personality to play a team leader either. He'd fit the role of a junior detective at most.

Lastly, at this point it makes zero sense to not promote Abhijeet. Daya at least got two promotions in 20 years.

Even if they had to show duo reluctant in replacing ACP Pradyuman, they could hire a senior actor who's at least a few years older than the duo.
