I think they sort of did wrap up their storyline 10 years ago. They broke up over a really petty reason and that scene was mostly played for laughs. After that stopped interacting for like 80 episodes. There was a scene in the show which hinted that Tarika was dating someone else in 2016. But I agree that their relationship was stagnant for too long. But I think it was easy for the writers to drag their relationship for almost a decade because it didn’t require much effort. All Abhijeet had to do was say a flirty dialogue and receive a taunt from dr Salunkhe. And kids really enjoyed that. Giving them a mature storyline would require some effort which they won’t put in.

I think the kids who once enjoyed Abhijeet and Tarika’s flirty romance have grown up now, and those childish moments might not entertain them anymore. Even they would want some closure—either make their relationship official with marriage or just end it for good.

If the show still portrays Abhijeet flirting with Tarika after all these years, it would seem like he was never really serious about her. In fact, the makers have subtly hinted that Tarika doesn’t hold much significance in his life. In the first episode, when he was in jail, the only photos he had were of Daya and Shreya, which clearly indicates who truly matters to him. Even in last Sunday's episode, When he said about Tara ( his past gf) , “Tumne jise mara, woh meri bhi bohot kareebi thi,” it was evident how much Tara meant to him—something we’ve never really seen that kind of depth in his feelings for Tarika.

abhijeet and tarika had broken off tarika was dating someone , really ! that is news for me , yes i agree the only reason i could not connect with them was they dragged that flirting way too much sorry if someone felt bad but they were cid officers matured too unke jydatar scenes were like this only

The only reason I want Taarika to be back in Abhi's life is because they've a history. As much as I want a new gal in his life , it'll be impossible now to create that kind of history between Abhi and her . Wo waqt hi nehi milegi.

But yes , I want to see some personal life of Daya , Abhijit , Purvi . They're human beings , even if they're super cops . Don't they have any personal lives ?? Who they go back to at the end of the day ? Empty houses ? Abhijit has one adopted child . Daya doesn't even have that . ACP , Daya , Abhijit all have such beautiful houses . It's extremely sad to think those houses are empty . Let them have families like normal people . CID is not like crime petrol . It needs those personal touches .

Since Sachin is returning and Kajal nd Kavin aren't there(as fans used to ship Kajal Sachin and Purvi Kavin) Purvi and Sachin can be showed as a pair....

Tho I myself prefer Sachin Kajal and Kavin Purvi....but I don't think Kavin will return as he is already doing Masterchef...so yeah

But Abhijeet - Tarika and Daya - Shreya track is inappropriate and that should be avoided for the welfare of the show. About Daya - Shreya, everone would have remember how she feared to say the relationship with Daya to her Mother and when her Mother cried she agreed for arranged marriage, and with this courage she became an Intelligent Officer, great. So our dear Freddy could have become CBI Director.
