Absolutely! The magnitude of the slump quashed all hopes of recovery in the future. Turning CID biweekly was the worst damage inflicted upon a good show by Sony.

Sony sees CID as a money maker. That's all. Whenever they were failing they would increase CID episodes and reruns and whenever they were doing well, they would even stop airing the current episodes.

I have a feeling that Sony is bringing CID back for this very reason. They are doing well in weekend shows, so they are thinking of bringing CID back so that when the reality shows end, CID can fill the void. Or at least, so they perceive.

No point really. I don't watch any show of late. Only movies during weekends and of course sports channels for IPL. These days with Netflix which Airtel has given free for 3 months, I am watching more movies there.

The channel packages are crap and the total monthly price is 3 times what it was earlier. I am chucking sony out. If there's anything great to watch, there's Sony Liv. I was watching CID on Sony liv only towards the end.

Also there's Airtel TV app on phone where we get a lot of good serials and movies. Set top box is a total waste and Internet TV is where the future is.

I read an article few days back. CID will come as a web series may be with the main leads along with new actors and with new names of the characters. Basically CID won't be this CID... but will be CID🤔

Actually now web series are the way forward. I have seen some of them and they are really good, but I don't know if this cast will be open to a web series as the budget will be really low in web series.

But, they have the creative freedom and no Sony to interfere, so if they do make a CID web series, I think it will be better in terms of stories and plot, because that's the only way to keep it running. There are so many options out there, so they will be under pressure to keep giving us suspense.

^ Yeah but the articles do state that the current CID team wouldn't be in it. I guess that solves the problem of low budget even for web series. Get new actors and all will be fine.
