I remember balika vadhu actress who was mother in law of anandi was in the show, she was engaged to this guy who was accused of murder I think. CID officers found out and tried to track him whereas he and this officer was in car driving somewhere, he kept saying he's being framed and she's suspicious and told him if he has nothing to fear he should surrender. Not too sure about wat happened next or whatever j said above was accurate or not, watched it ages ago. But pretty sure there was a fiance was so shady af and this BV lady was there.

That BV lady played Sub Inspector Aditi (2004-2005) in the show. I watched the episode in question as well...though I can't recall the case title right now.
