CID Written Update: Khooni Khel- August 21, 2015

Episode Name: Khooni Khel

The episode begins with a group of people sitting around a table and a voice telling them about the uncertainty of the future. He asks the people to brace themselves for what was to happen that night and tells that anyone who is dubious can leave the place as it may be impossible later. According to his words, his assistant keeps a box, and everyone places their mobile phones as they had been told that no one will be in contact with each other. In front of them is a box, which contained an envelope with their names and their tasks. No one was to tell out about their tasks. As the voice instructed them, they went up to their rooms to begin their tasks at the right time. Rohit comes back to the same place , mumbling about something being wrong and that his envelope was empty. The voice answers him by telling that everything was going according to his plan and asks him to come towards a white case in front of him. He opens and finds the gun. The voice (Dang! This is so Big Boss-ish) continues to instruct him. He fixes the silencer and is asked to kill the person in room no. 2. He hesitates but the voice threatens him. He then climbs up the stairs, finishes his task. He is met by his two other friends just after he manages to hide the gun. Manav and Aanchal along with Rohit come down to have a drink. Aanchal introduces herself as Manav's wife to Rohit while Manav prepares the drink. Rohit is an architect. Manav drops something into one of the drinks. They are about to drink it when they hear a scream and a gun shot. Rohit recognizes it to be his wife, Meenakshi's. The power goes off. They break open the door and find Meenakshi gasping for breath. Manav runs to call the doctor and the police but he doesn't find the box where the mobile phones were kept. The fat man comes in and he asks him. The former tells that it may be a part of the plan. The others come rushing down and Manav explains the scenario. Manav and one more guy break the main door and run out to the streets and by that time, the power resumes. The two stop a man on the road who calls the CID on their behalf. Meanwhile in the mansion, a couple and the fat man, come to the room to find Meenakshi dead.

The CID team arrives along with the forensics (Aa gaye mera hero and the lady!!). Abhi sir asks everyone but the people who witnessed it to leave the place but not to leave the mansion. They ask the three people individually and each one narrates the incident. Two bullets are lodged into her and she probably had tried to write something before she died. Manav tells Sachin sir that he had come out of the house to call the CID and Rohit denies knowing anything about what Meenakshi was trying to tell. Aanchal tells Purvi that she'd gone to fetch water from outside as there was no water in the bathroom.Aanchal's flashback shows Meenakshi asking for water and Aanchal goes to the bathroom but finds that none of the taps were working. She remembers having water in her room. She runs to fetch it and when she returns the power resumes. She finds the room empty except for Meenakshi who was dead. Rohit comes in from the back door and starts to cry. Rohit tells them that he'd gone to check outside as he had heard some noise there. Abhijeet sir asks Sachin sir to check outdoors. Tarika tells that Meenakshi had tried to write 'K' and 'A' before she died. Meanwhile Sachin sir and Freddy sir are checking outdoors. Salunkhe sir tells that Meenakshi must have been facing the other side and when she heard the killer come, she must've turned. Then, panicking, she must've turned the other side to run but must've got shot on the back. Inside, Abhijeet sir asks Pankaj to check the bathroom for the bullets. Meanwhile outdoors, Sachin sir finds a gun. He is hit on the head before he could pick it up and falls unconscious.

In the hall, they get everyone's names and they suspect a man named Karan. He defies that and says it could even mean Karishma. The latter climbs down asking why no one found her when she was pretending to be a corpse. They explain to the team about the game, which was all about each one of them pretending no to know anyone. They'd be assigned roles and would play accordingly and solve the murder case with evidences. This time Karishma was to play the role of a victim and Rohit that of a killer. The flashback shows Rohit entering Karishma's room and pulling the trigger, coming out again and hiding the gun in a pot. Paresh and Sunaina are the organizers of the game and strongly denies killing Meenakshi Freddy sir tells that after having check thoroughly, anyone can escape easily. . Pankaj finds the pistol and brings to Abhi sir. The pistol was loaded with fake bullets. Karishma strongly denies about having any animosity with Meenakshi. Deepti interrupts and tells that Karishma had once loved Rohit, but when Meenakshi came into his life, he'd married her and ever since she'd wanted to avenge Meenakshi for it. Karishma says that she never left her room all the while. Rohit had killed Karishma (in the game) at 9.30 and Meenakshi was killed at 10.15. There were two doors to each room one of which opened on the outside and Abhi sir says that it could've been a cake walk for her to walk out, commit the murder and get back to her room. Divya reports to have found nothing from the CCTV footage. Abhi sir asks Purvi and Pankaj to calculate the time taken for going to and returning from Meenakshi's room from Karishma's. They set to work on it. They reach the room in exactly 6 mins but the suspicion melts immediately as they find the back door unable to be opened from outside. As they move to tell this to Abhi sir, they find Sachin sir hit on the head. Sachin sir tells Abhi sir all that happened and Purvi too reports what she and Pankaj had found. Each of them gives their alibi to one officer. Sunaina tells that she'd gone to the market and had met Anil and Manav on the way. Karan tells that he was with Anil and Deepti in the 1st room and when he felt his stomach upset, he had gone to the bathroom. Abhi sir then realizes that none of the bathrooms had water. Karan then confesses to have wanted to call someone and shows Abhi sir the proof of it. He tells that he'd heard a sound like someone was changing their dress when he was outside the store room.

They check the store room and Purvi finds a torn piece of cloth, which she tells to be Meenakshi's. They come up to the crime scene where Dr. Salunkhe shows them something. Dr. Tarika calls and tells that they are plastic fibres. He tells that a whole plastic substance can become like this if kept in contact with the nose for a long time. Purvi tells that the piece of cloth resembled Meenaksi's but were not really hers. He asks Purvi to check for any name tag and Purvi finds a "Togs Dress Hire" tag attached to the dress. He calls Daya and asks him to find out and the latter does it.

In the crime scene, they try to reconstruct the murder scene. Abhijeet sir checks the wardrobe and other things and he finds something peculiar about the cot. He lifts the bed and the following layer and finds plastic pieces inside the cave of it. He recollects whatever the people told them to confirm their alibi.

In the hall, Abhijeet sir once again recounts the case in a nut shell and tells each one's alibi. Abhijeet sir tells Sunaina that they'd inquired at the shop who told them that she'd come there 3 hours before the show started and it come merely 20 mins to return. She gets scared and tells that she'd actually gone to meet her boyfriend. Abhijeet tells the group the reality that Meenakshi was dead 45 mins prior to the time they'd heard the gunshot and the scream. He also tells that it was not Meenakshi lying there but someone else and adds that since it was dark, they were all deceived by what seemed to them. He recalls again about Manav's and Aanchal's doing at that time. He tells that, before Aanchal returned to the room with water, the real Meenakshi had been put in place. Meenakshi's corpse was wrapped in plastic and hidden under the bed and when Aanchal left the room, it had been put in place. (A beautiful reconstruction of the entire crime scene by Abhijeet sir and Purvi!). Abhi sir concludes by saying that it was Sunaina doing the fake Meenakshi and it was Rohit who had helped her get away through the other door.

Rohit confesses that Meenakshi had wanted to divorce him and as a result he'd be on the streets, devastated. Sunaina tells that she'd taken the gun away with her while getting away and when she heard Aanchal coming, she'd panicked and at that time the gun had slipped. By the time she returned, Sachin sir had seen the gun and so she had found no other choice but to hit him on the head. She confesses that it was she in the store room earlier.

Abhijeet sir delivers the phansi dialogue.
