ACP Pradyuman's house

Dr. Salunkhe asked, "Arre Pradyuman khana kab dega?"

"Salunkhe tu idhar aa kar madat kar. Jaldi banega khana," ACP Pradyuman returned.

"Nahi boss. Main aaya tha tumhare haat ka khana khane. Khud banana hota toh ghar pe hi rehta," Dr. Salunkhe said, smiling.

"Salunkhe zada maat bol aur aa kar madat kar," ACP Pradyuman said.

"Oye. Yeh bureau nahi hai," Dr. Salunkhe reminded.

"Jaanta hoon. Phir bhi aa kar madat kar," ACP Pradyuman said.

"Acha baba. Aata hoon," Dr. Salunkhe said, laughing. He stepped into the kitchen and asked, "Waise tumne Abhijeet aur Daya ko kyun nahi bulaya?"

"Kyun? Tu toh jab dekh toh Abhijeet ko daante rehta hai. Toh socha kyun bulaon," ACP Pradyuman replied, seriously.

"Boss aisa kuch nahi hai," Dr. Salunkhe replied, taking the knife up to cut the brinjals that ACP Pradyuman still had to cook.

"Aisa hi hai. Warna jab bhi Abhijeet pe koi ilzaam lagta hai toh tu aisa kyun kehta hai ke woh CID ke naam pe kalank hai yah usne CID ka naam mitti main mila diya?" ACP Pradyuman asked, turning the stove off and giving his full attention to Dr. Salunkhe.

"Arre wah! Ulta chor kotwal ko daante! Tum toh aise bol rahe ho jaise tumne kabhi usse galat nahi samjha," Dr. Salunkhe said, angrily.

"Kya matlab hai tumhara?" ACP Pradyuman demanded.

"Tum sab se zada Abhijeet pe kyun chilate ho?" Dr. Salunkhe asked.

"Kya?" ACP Pradyuman asked, confused.

"Agar Abhijeet Daya ke kehne pe baki sab ko bachane jaata hai yah kisi ko bacha kar nikalta hai toh woh daant khata hai. Lekin agar yehi kam koi aur kaare toh usse sabhashi. Aisa kyun?" Dr. Salunkhe demanded.

"Tu sirf Abhijeet ke baare main kyun pooch raha hai?" ACP Pradyuman asked, trying to avoid the topic.

"Kyun ki tumne sirf Abhijeet ke baare main poocha hai. Ab topic maat avoid karo. Saaf saaf batao. Ke tum Abhijeet pe itna gussa kyun hote ho?" Dr. Salunkhe demanded.

"Salunkhe tu mere sawal ka jawab pehle dega," ACP Pradyuman returned.

"Boss ab tum sawal se bach nahi sakte ho. Jawab toh dena parega. Aur ab pehle tumhe hi jawab dena parega," Dr. Salunkhe returned.

"Thik hai. Jab tujhe iss sawal ka jawab chahiye toh main doonga. Ek baat bata. Kya tu kisi aise insaan pe gussa hoga jisse tu jaanta nahi hai?" ACP Pradyuman asked.

"Yeh kya sawal huya? Bilkul nahi," Dr. Salunkhe refuted.

"Toh jis taran se tu kabhi kisi aise insaan pe gussa nahi hoga jisse tu jaanta nahi hain waise hi main kyun kisi aise insaan pe naraz hoon yah chilaon jisse main jaanta nahi hoon?" ACP Pradyuman replied in a question.

"Boss saaf saaf bolo. Yeh tedi medi baatein nahi chalengi," Dr. Salunkhe said.

"Sahi baat toh yehi hai ke main Abhijeet ko bahut pyaar karta hoon. Aur isli uspe itna gussa hota hoon," ACP Pradyuman replied.

"Acha matlab tum baki sab se pyaar hi nahi karte ho. Isli toh unpe gussa nahi hote ho," Dr. Salunkhe responded.

"Maine aisa kab kaha?" ACP Pradyuman asked, surprised.

"Aisa nahi kaha? Abhi toh kaha ke tum Abhijeet se bahut pyaar karte ho aur isli uspe gussa hote ho. Aur tumne yeh bhi kaha ke jisse pyaar karte hain uspe hi gussa hote hain. Iska toh yehi matlab huya ke tum baki sab se pyaar nahi karte ho isli unpe gussa nahi hote ho. Aur agar pyaar karte ho toh unpe gussa kyun nahi hote ho? Sirf Abhijeet pe hi kyun? Kya woh kuch zada special hai?" Dr. Salunkhe reasoned.

"Salunkhe tere se baat karna hi bekar hai," ACP Pradyuman huffed.

"Kyun ki main tumhe sochne pe majboor kar raha hoon? Boss main jaanta hoon ke tum sab se pyaar karte ho lekin jab tum sirf Abhijeet pe gussa hote ho yah sirf Daya ko kehte ho investigation karne ke liye toh aisa hi lagta hai ke jaise tum yah toh Abhijeet se pyaar nahi karte ho yah Daya se bahut zada pyaar karte ho," Dr. Salunkhe reasoned. "Aisa karna band karo."

"Acha thik hai. Chal mera huya. Ab tu mere original sawal ka jawab de. Tu Abhijeet ke baare main hi kyun aise baatein kehta hai?" ACP Pradyuman asked.

"Sach boloon toh isli kyun ki main Tarika ko lekar kuch zada hi protective hoon. Main jaanta hoon ke Abhijeet aur Tarika ek doosre ko pasand karte hain lekin kya karoon? Kabhi kabhi aapne aap ko rok hi nahi paata hoon," Dr. Salunkhe replied, truthfully.

"Toh tu bhi aapne aap ko rok Salunkhe. Meri taran tu bhi aapne aap ko rok. Sab ko ek saman pyaar milna chahiye. Aur sab ke ek saman bharosa bhi karna chahiye," ACP Pradyuman said.

"Boss tum toh aise keh rahe ho jaise tum hamasa se yehi karte aaye ho," Dr. Salunkhe said.

"Acha nahi karte aaya hoon. Lekin ab karonga. Aur tu?" ACP Pradyuman asked.

"Main bhi. Ab jaldi se khana khilao!" Dr. Salunkhe exclaimed.

ACP Pradyuman laughed and turned back to the stove, happy that the misunderstanding had been cleared once and for all.
