Three actors quit the show voluntarily within a span of one year. Vikas Kumar, because he was finding it tedious; Ankur Sharma because he didn't get much to do and very recently Gaurav Khanna as he is not finding the new format and the forthcoming tracks interesting.

The viewers are also loosing their interest in the show gradually but what FW and CVs are upto is roping in more and more actors to play different characters regardless of the fact if they are really needed.

I have this feeling that the artists who are with the show almost from the starting are also not liking the changes and the tracks but they aren't taking any step because of emotional reasons.

Personally, I feel that instead of adding the crowd to the show and introducing changes, they must work on the scripts, execution, utilising the talent in a right way and fixing loopholes. And actors quitting should be taken as a warning by the production house that they can't ride on the name they had made in all these years for long.

I sincerely want that FW realises what it is upto soon and bring back our old CID.

I totally agree with you Himani. All FW really cares about is doing what they want. They think that like Shapath, viewers will accept changes with CID with no complaints, but there's a large difference between the two. Shapath has only been on air for 2 years and it's constantly been changing. CID, on the other hand, has been on air for 17 years and the changes have only begun recently.

Now if I was the producer of this show, or for that matter a boss anywhere, the first thing that would set off my alarm bells is the number of people leaving. Vivek, Vikas sir, Ankur, Gaurav, Vineet...the list is there. Now if I was the boss of a company my first question would be why are they leaving, not how can I make more changes to make it harder for the remaining employees. But apparently FW asked the latter question, not the former. I don't want to say this, but maybe one of the long-running actors needs to put their papers down. Maybe that'll open up FW's mind, though I highly doubt it.

They are out of their minds. First they brought in Gaurav Khanna saying they want to win female fans. Now they bring in Tanya as a superwoman and God knows what they want to do with her. I am disgusted with her car lifting stunt showing Freddie and Pankaj in poor light. She can't act, she cant say heredialogues properly... Why is she here in the company of awesome actors like trio?

Sony can't read audience's mind. They always misjudge when it comes to deciding what will work and what won't. They made a mess with kbc during weekends and this time they saw sense and went back to working days. I wonder if they'll realise that too much of anything will be boring, cid included. It'll have its charm only when it's available once a week with the famous 5. Not a few glimpses of them with a battalion of non actors thrice a week.

I completely agree with you all.. Better FW & Sony understand their faults before it gets too late.. I've already lost my interest in CID.

they are just going on with the show at the cost of trio..

be it a worst epi we still wait to see trio together,duo in action,a scene of duo chatting..

and they are just using our hopes

Himani, u r not alone in observing how all the actors look unhappy, disinterested, frustrated, exasperated, tired-of-nonsense and half hearted. I can see these expressions on all the actors' faces. Now they just act out their characters that's all. Since friday epi started, i observed this subtle change in the actors.

As u all said, now the only thing that keep the main actors still attached are the emotions attached with the show. Shivaji ji almost left but then called it a small break, during the grahan series.

I dread and feel that adi sir and dayanand sir will want to quit. That day will sony-fw realise. But by then the damage will already be done.

Sony never really listens or acknowledges the audience sentiments.

I also feel that as gk is also an ardent cid and abhi fan himself since the 90s, he must have felt just what the audience does.

Its quite obivious that he would have left sooner or later. He is a popular soap star and romance star, its certain he will lose interest in show like CID which has lot much real actions, investigations, no fun element, romance tracks which are handled unmaturely.
