A crossover of a crime show like CID with another crime show like Adalat makes sense. But crossover of CID with a comedy show of another channel is meaningless. They are out of their minds. 😡

Gear up for a unique integration of CID and Taraak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah




One is a popular crime based series, the other a popular comedy based show and when the two entities come together...it's entertainment unlimited.

Well, we are talking about CID (Fireworks Productions) and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) which will air integrated episodes for two weeks starting 4 July. Interestingly, both the shows are the top runners in their respective channels, Sony Entertainment Television (CID) and SAB TV (Taarak) (both under the umbrella of MSM).

And if you are left confused at this interesting integration here we get you more details.

This Friday (4 July), Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will see Daya (Disha Wakani) getting into a fix, after tracing the missing wallet of ACP Pradhyuman (Shivaji Satam). And this will prompt her to go and meet the CID team.

Subsequently, in Saturday's episode of CID, Daya accompanied by Jetha (Dilip Joshi), Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) and Sodhi (Gurucharan Singh) will visit the CID bureau to return the wallet. Once there, the Taarak team will help the CID officers in cracking a case. This particular case will be on air this weekend.

Later, next week, the entire CID team would go to Gokuldham Society to solve a case. So the integration will be a long affair of two weeks with various twists and turns.

A source from CID shares, "It's the first time that we are doing something so ambitious, and we are extremely excited for the same. We have started shooting yesterday and let's see how things shape up."

The makers are also promoting the two popular characters sharing the same name - Daya-in the two shows as an added attraction.

When contacted, Producer (CID) B P Singh said, "Asit Modi (Producer- Taraak) is a good friend of mine. And when we had a chat recently, we talked of this idea of having integration between CID and Taarak. Once we agreed upon this, I bounced the idea to Sony who on agreeing passed on the idea to SAB TV. With both the channels agreeing, we then sat together to decide on a common story that would link the two popular shows. This will be a long integration, starting this week."

The episodes will be aired on weekdays at 8:30 pm on SAB TV on Taarak Mehta and 10 pm on weekends on Sony through CID.

Although episodes on both shows won't be continuing episodes, they will be linked to each other. So even if viewers miss watching one show, they can still enjoy this double bonanza on the other serial.
