It's perfectly ok to read books as long as you get good marks. I have nothing to say about moms who ban paper, story books..I have read lots and lots of books in my school days. Comics, Famous Five, Nancy Drew, then moved on to Sherlock Holmes, Agatha christie, Jeffrey Archer...I've never given up on my TV watching during my entire school life. I used to have a set of programmes that I would regularly watch and no plonking in front of the TV just like that. Books were always for bed time reading and sunday afternoons. I was always in the top 3 in my class. Reading books doesn't spoil grades as long as you put them away during exams.

How can parents or teachers ban novels for kids... the school libraries have those books...and hope they know its for students and not teachers... Reading novels actually improves one's language a lot

correct, when i said the same to my mom,she immediately reminded me of my rank in class.for the first time since 7th grade i got 4th rank 😔...so i don't have any strong point to argue with her either.And i missed this exam,so am getting no rank atall this year.brr

yes,i go to library ...to get HC verma,RK sharma,reisnik halliday...that's what the library is meant for...accd. to some people..

I hate the point that every parent wants their kid to come 1st 😡 Why can't they just be happy that their kid is in top 10 or 20 and is not failing !!

People not coming 1st do many wonders in future while the toppers keep doing the same old robotic job... have seen this happening in real...

So, today my boss is on sick leave. 😛
