I don't think there is any true crime story writer in present days in Television or Movies industries. Most shows are either copied from old shows or from other country's show.

They can make shows on base of foreign crime novels or stories, but alas there is no such good director present for making that.

if u see criminal minds u must have noticed them copying some of our classic cases

my point was that almost all crime shows are copied or inspired from some other show... i mean after all its either about revenge, money, property, love, etc... basic emotions and needs which inspire most crime... so not surprising that everything seems similar to something else...

I agree with assassinator.
There is a big dearth of proper crime writers for both hte big screen and small screen. One needs to pay a good writer and respect the copyright issues by the production houses. This does not happen to a large extent in India.

No I am not getting negative. There are many shows in the west shown on PBS or local channels that are good well written crime shows. Many can't be shown here as they are in water tight copyright material.

In India, crime writing as a genre requires a lot of prerequisites. Many writers don't match up to these criterion. So the result is what we are seeing on all the so called popular crime shows.😊
