MY INPUT:

Murderer:

The murderer had one leg amputated, so obviously, it can't be Rahul. Now Kumar can't be the murderer because the murderer is Kumar's brother. Since they grew up in Mumbai, Sunil can't be the murderer either since be moved to the city. This implies that either Mukesh or Karan are the murderers. One of them has to be Kumar's brother and has to have had their leg amputated. Since it is mentioned that Karan is the topnotch computer expert and both him and Mukesh built their last computer together, Mukesh has a motive to killing Karan. If the computer was built mainly by Karan and now it is a big breakthrough, Mukesh may want to kill Karan, but at the same time Karan wants to install Mukesh's new computer next week. I'm not so sure about murderer right now.

Victim:

It could be Kumar because he has been in seclusion so no one really knows if he is alive. Or it could be Karan if my above reasoning holds.

Karan Is kumar"s brother and the murderer :) :o

They built the last computer together.So one of them is dead.So they will launch the computer.

Also Mukesh met Kumar god knows where and Karan by all means can the amputated brother.Rahul may be drunk too much and died due to heart attack in race.😆Sunil cant be innocent bt neither can be Kumar's brother.So the answer😳

Even Mukesh can't the murderer as

Mukesh met Kumar for the first time six months ago.

and the murderer is

The murderer is Kumar's brother. They grew up together in Mumbai.

so that means Karan must be the murderer, considering all the earlier discussions ...

and maybe Kumar was killed because he had been missing since the crime.

but killed his own brother ... hmm ... now this seems diff.

And Mukesh met Kumar 6 months ago, so it can't be Mukesh either, the killer has to be KARAN

Victim :
Now coming to the Victim, KARAN's only interactions seem to be with Mukesh and Kumar, from the clues, there is no clue to indicate he has anything to do with Rahul or Sunil. Now Kumar has been in seclusion since crime but not dead. About the Rahul clue, it says he used to drink heavily, so maybe he gave it up and hence was able to run in the Marathon yesterday. So my guess is MUKESH is the Victim.

4. This leaves Karan and Sunil. Sunil also didn't grow up with Kumar

Since Karan is still alive as he wants to install Mukesh's comp. next week(check the tense) he must be the murderer.

Kumar, Rahul and Karan are alive. Mukesh must also be be alive because he'll be having his computer installed by Karan next week.

This means that Karan killed Sunil.

I'm quite sure of my answer though !!

Victim : Sunil
