I hv nearly read this 8to10 times and still not understanding...i think may be alka is the suspect..it was her plan..may be some one had killed him..she purposly left her phone in the first floor..and the killer signaled alka tat he is dead

There is nothing to prove that Shiela alone has done it. It could be Mona too...she knew many guests were expected soall of them would be under suspicion.

It could even be one of the 3 singers...Kishore had a good reason to kill Pritam...

Quite a long and intriguing one. One thing I too feel is that the piano sound must've likely been a recording played by the killer on Pritam's stereo to mislead the others (anyone familiar with the Tintin comic "The Castafiore Emerald" will notice a similarity). Even the gunshot Alka heard might be a pre-recorded one, with the killer deliberately luring her upstairs so that her statement about nobody leaving the crime spot further confuses everyone. The actual murder could've taken place earlier.

As of now, Kishore seems to be the strongest contender for the culprit, considering his motive. Bit I'll give it further thought soon.

I totally agree with u...i think Pritam was dead before the three singers came at home as from then nobody have seen Pritam as he was in his studio...& his murderer planned all these what @Ravi said...
Then it may be his wife Mona or his manager Sheila but then what's the motive of this murder ?
We cant forget the Doctor...

Its quite possible that Pritam's finger is not working well becoz of something wrong during operation (as we saw in the episode "Impossible murder" where blind ACP sir found how the murder was done) & his this above statement is just because that he wants to hide his own fault...
