MATRUBHUMI - A NATION WITHOUT WOMEN

This is a story of a village where there is no woman...there is one dialog saying - Pichle 15 saalo mein iss gao mein yeh pehla shaadi hein...😲
It is quite real story of India...we are in 2012 but still female foeticide as well as female infanticide are very common...this movie depicts that if this situation continues then there will be a time where no woman in our society...then what will be our condition?
The movie is really difficult to watch...there is only one female character named Kalki who is used by everyone yes including Aditya sir's character 😭...it is really horrible that female is not considered as a human rather as an object to produce child 😡
Anyway come to Aditya sir...in 1hr 30 min movie he present only maximum 15 mins...his character is no name addressing only Raghu's uncle...but his character becomes strong in the second half of the movie after Raghu's murder...his acting is superb as a village person...he did totally justice to his character ⭐️👏

Few caps

Thanks for the caps Deba !!! I was trying to think why can't I remember Adi sir's name from the movie .. ab yaad aaya he was mostly referred to as Raghu's uncle !! The movie is very tough to watch .. mainly for someone like us who are such huge fans of this actor .. seeing him in this role is quite tough .. one one side we can't avoid appreciating what an actor he is .. on the other hand we find it so tough to appreciate the character he plays !!

Thank you Deba.
I avoid seeing this movie as I faced a situation as a teacher with a few families and this movie dosen't help in forgetting that incident. I had to fight hard then when I faced it not to go into depression.
As a class teacher I had to deal with two huge joint families who were refusing to allow their daughters to continue their education after 11th as they were nearing marriageable age and they found no point in poring money over them. The girls had their brothers in the same college. Talking to them opened my eyes to a certain major section of India where girls/women are seen as mere sex objects. The boys in turn harbored no respect to their teachers and took great pleasure in ignoring and creating unwanted disruptions in class just because they were women .
On one hand dealing with them keeping the rules of the college and a healthy atmosphere was one thing, trying to convince the parents not to remove the girls was another thing. Finally they successfully removed the girls got them married and after a time I got the news one had passed away unable to bear repeated humiliation and pain in life. All the staff in college had a depressing time after this.
Every year atleast 1 or 2 girls are forced to give up education by their families at various levels and later they are never accounted for.

It is not because I can't see Aditya sir doing such a heinious role but the concept is too too close to reality and I just haven't got the courage to see this movie. I applaud all of you who had the guts to see it. Maybe my experience with the above mentioned incident is stopping me . Someday I may see it I don't know.😊

I saw it till one of the most horrible scenes ever.
I am taking a break now...need to see Stolen Dynamite and read Bhav's post about her meeting with them and Highway and maybe Sr Insp Abhijeet, Nanhi Gavah and Abhijeet in Coma...(what am I saying!!! 😭)
How can someone resembling Abhijeet...that guy who's playing with a baby on another thread behave in such a wicked manner?
