CID's most comforting character

Dear brothers and sisters,

I am new to this discussion forum but not to CID serial.
My past activity has been in the following forums:
Baa bahu aur baby (Star plus: out of air now)
Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma (SAB: still rocking)

Although CID has been running for more than 10% of a century, I realized it's goodness when I accidentally watched it with my relatives a year ago. Now, I watch it daily since there are tons of episodes to watch! 😃

I just wanted some opinion regarding this question: Who is the most comforting character?
Since this serial is a thriller where many moments are close to watching a ghost serial!! The presence of some characters gives confidence that everything will be alright and situation will be under control. It's also calming to have some CID members in the high voltage scenes since the CID members normally don't get hurt. It's like watching Shh..koi hai (not Ssh.. phir koi hai) where Vikraal captures the ghosts and nothing will ever happen to him!!😆.

Anyways my vote goes for Mr Daya (sounds funny to me, because there is Mrs Daya in TMKOC serial), because he looks like a commando.

But I always feel satisfied when the main officer is also present, it gives an impression that the case is directed securely by a head.

Let me know if I am supposed to discuss this in some specific thread!

'Comforting character'. 😆

Well, having been a CIDian for 13 years now, just the presence of our duo on screen every weekend is 'comforting' to me.

I've always seen that if something disturbs me, I just have to think of some sweet scene in CID and I feel comforted and a smile appears on my face.

Most of us are beyond comparing them as characters, but there are situations in the episode where the presence of Daya makes one comfortable.

For example - in the AKA series which we recently saw, it was scary to see Abhijeet go alone to a doctor to get treatment for his headaches. Then there was a scene where Abhijeet starts driving the Qualis and feels dizzy and loses control. Those are the moments where I wished Daya were there. His presence is reassuring. 😊

Hmm ..... Most comferting character ??? Well for me just the presence of trio is 'comferting' ... A bad day for me..... An argument with someone or whatever ... The moment I see my officers I feel better .... I feel like forgetting all that and a smile comes on my face !!!
If I have to talk of a particular character ... I'd say Abhijeet sir ... He's one person who's presence itself makes me feel cheerful,confident and better !!!
Rather I'd go for the duo .... Daya sir is like a best friend ... He gives me a "Main hoon na" feeling ....
And the duo's presence together is 'comferting' !!!! I mean there are tons of moments. .... Like Vis mentioned ... In that AKA scene ... Or many times like in staged murder scene .. I'd think if Abhi sir wasn't there to reassure him .... Or maybe in that Lapata Kidney scene ... I would be like "Daya ... come fast ,... !! Even though I knew nothing will go wrong !!!
So yeah the duos presence is 'comferting' for me .. !!

I just love Daya sir and also my duo plus trio. Well, now a days the episodes are not like the previous ones but still I adore my duo and they are the best pair on Indian Television.

I used to think that just presence of daya sir was enuf to comfort me in any situation... But no...
I feel its duo together only can create that magic...
They are great as individuals... But the magic ... Haapens only when they are together 😍
I dont have any such scene till now in my cid best scenes list where there is just daya sir.

Yes, I fully agree with you. Afte hectic work when the week comes to a close, CID always gives a hope that there is life after work!! 😊

I have noticed many people call them Daya Sir and Abhijeet Sir. This makes me feel guilty when I say just Daya. I will follow the same trend!! 😃

By trio you mean: Daya Sir, Abhijeet Sir and ACP Sir?

I agree with your word "magic" 😃

The duo knows each other so well, that they work together effortlessly. Something like Sachin and Sehwag when they make quick runs, each other knows when to do it!

But your profile pic seems like Daya Sir is in hospital? When did that happen? What happened to him in that episode?
