Yeah Hyderabad has mainly Hussainsagar lake !! But I mainly belong to the coastal belt of Andhra and have seen immersions happening there.

Here in Delhi Yamuna is overflowing !! People aren't even being allowed to go nearby !! Dunno how Visarjan will happen here !!

I don't think you have ever been to Mumbai during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, coz if you had you wouldn't have made a comparison.

The only event that beats the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Mumbai in terms of grandness & magnificence is the Kumbh mela. 😉

I have idea of what you are talking about and I am not comparing or saying anything like" no match".

It happens in Hussainsagar lake with Ganeshas being immersed with the help of cranes.

Have a view of the Lord having a crane ride.

Really Visrom, it's immersion with a difference.
In Kolkata all the immersion happens in river Ganges.

BTW I liked the journey by launch in Hussainsagar, when we reached the island where the statue of Buddha is , the sun was setting, birds were flying over the statue, it was a treat to the eyes.

Oh yes Delhi is witnessing perhaps the worst flood, many areas have been already flooded.

@m_kall yeah Delhi's suffering from major floods this time !!! Luckily the area I live in is a little far from Yamuna but the amount of rain happening here it's something worth worrying about !!!
