the first month, vaisakham is celebrated here too....
Here it is rare to see mandap, but i have seen a huge ganesh vigrah yesterday...look similar to your picture.

I would love to experience these someday, out here in my city hardly anyone celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi, we do the puja at home only.
