Kritika Desai se yaad aaya. Long ago, I don't even recollect what the series was but I think it was a series of short stories.

This story was about a mother and daughter. Kritika played the daughter, very young then. I think early 90s. Her mom is always decked up with heavy makeup and is forever going to parties etc but she never takes her young daughter with her, she always discourages her to come. I can't recollect if fully just flashes the Mom was aging and not looking as good as she used to, behind that heavy makeup she was trying to hold on. While her daughter was young, looking beautiful so she would try to hide her from others else insist on being her elder sister. It was a lovely Mom-Daughter short story.

I still remember in the last scene Kritika was in a green saree, long open hair, no heavy makeup, simple yet gorgeous. Looking at her like that the Mom comes to reality and finally sheds the fakeness and Kritika gets her MOM.

Hehehehe waise i dont know if i am going OT but i was a great fan of Hip Hip Hurray series when i was in my teens well the seris displayed all teen emotions. I remember a character named Kiran had the same problem with her mom so she kept on eating choclates and quits eating and one of her best friend notices it and thinks it is a form of depression. she takes her to psychiatrist who treats her so with help of her friends and professor ( Vinay Phatak as Viny sir - just loved his character in the seris) she is back to normal.
