Yeah....remembered this one now. Then there was one episode where Byomkesh pretends to be dead and people are asked to come and identify his 'body' in the police station. The thief also comes and touches Byomkesh's chest and finds that he is acting etc etc....

Thanks for starting this discussion and moreover of BB, one of my favourite detectives.
BB was written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The first BB story appeared in 1932, 78years back. But still we like reading/watching these even today. There are total 33 stories of BB. All of them are worth reading specially because of the plots and of Bandyopadhyay's writing style.

I agree with you. I feel such works in regional languages should be translated so that at least we all can read them.
On DD there were selected stories, not all the 33, am I right?

If I am not wrong it had more than 33 stories.

oh...if I remember correctly only 13 episodes were shown on DD.

Didn't it have 2 seasons?? The first one ended with 14 episodes. In the next season they took a leap and BB grew older?
