I don't know why they are doing that. My request to Sony is please just finish with all the 1997-99 episodes and then do what you want, after that you can show one case from 2000 and then oen fron 2010, I wouldn't mind, but please show all the episodes of the first two years, in whatever order you want but please show it all.

THE CASE OF CROSS CONNECTION is one of my favorite cases. I never forgot a single scene ever since I saw it for the first time. With such extensive use of Mobile Phones. something like this is almost impossible to occur in todays times. To me that makes it even more special. Tell me if you like this case too.

You're welcome. 😊

You know, human memory is an amazing thing: until now I had completely forgotten about Jayant. But after you posted his pic and finally after seeing this episode, it all came back to me. I remembered the scene in the shooting range, Jayant using his knowledge of Biology and all. 😆 I loved this episode. It makes me nostalgic about the 90s. The relative lack of mobile phones gives this a sort of "by gone era" feel. Things were so much simpler back then. No cheap special effects involving ridiculous forensics or anything.

I also liked the CID bureau from that era. It felt more like a real office. BTW here's something amusing: in this episode Daya actually failed to break down the door of the contract killer's room and he had to use his gun to destroy the lock. This is unimaginable nowadays. Daya is now an invincible door breaker. 😆

BTW, did they show Viren's last episode yet? I posted my recollections of it in another thread once. Here it is:

That was wonderful suchi. It made me even more nostalgic for the old days than usual. If only we could see the series from Episode 1 again. 😊

Speaking of Insp Viren, I am reminded of his last episode on the show. At that time there was no Tellybuzz or anything and I didn't really bother checking news of the tv world so much. So I had no idea that Ashutosh wasn't coming back on the show. So it came as a bit of a shock to me. 😔 His last episode was pretty sad. He ended up harboring a fugitive because he had once saved his daughter's life and promised to return the favour in any way he could (at that time he had no idea that the man was a criminal). Viren was caught between his duty and his word. I did like how they tied up his story with the way it began on Episode 1: he was introduced as an officer who had a habit of getting frequently transferred and in the end, he was transferred to another city. ACP saw to it that he didn't get a bigger punishment because he understood his situation.

Sometimes I think the ACP should make some references to these earlier officers like Viren and Aasha. It'd be nice. 😊

I'd be nice to watch that episode again. 😊

I get a feeling they have stopped re-runs of old episodes because they found that we are discovering too many bloopers.

😆

Yeah things were so much simpler. With the advent of technology the level has fallen rather than going up. Take a simple thing as shooting a bullet, earlier one felt that they actually used the gun, now to show that a bullet is shot they put some stupid special effect. Why do they need to add special effects to shots when it can look more realistic without it.
I also like the old office mainly the one thats shown in "THE CASE OF BOLTED DOOR" and "THE CASE OF STOLEN CAR". Outside the office you had the CID logo, a real one. The Current office looks like a huge set, nothing like an office, and they seem to have taken the exterior of an MNC Office and added an artificial logo on it. It clearly looks fake. earlier they would have the Dog Squad (Peggy and Tipsi such sweet darlings), Bomb Squads, Poilic Patrol Cars, Constables, etc. One felt we saw how the CID and Police actually work. Now as days ek policawal dikhai nahin deta. Ealirer when they would go to investigate, first they would show their ID Card, now they don't do it. They were polite, say thank you etc. They would make people comfortable whom they are interogating. This has a lot to do with the Dialog Writer being changed. Now a kind of bossy tone runs thoughout the show. Ealired they would show a chawl if the suspect is a waiter, etc. The shooting locations were intune with the backgrounds of the supporting cast's financial stauts. Now almost any one stays in a dule house, waiter ho, mechanic ho, koi bhi ho. Everyone has a house, you harld see a flat forget chawls. Earlier there used to be cases where CID was able to stop the crime, like THE CASE OF CROSS CONNECTION and THE CASE OF CRY FOR HELP with the slightest of clues. Now ek episode mein 3-4 log unhi mar jaate hain. They find the culprit but are not shown stopping the crime.
These things make you feel why the saying is so right OLD IS GOLD.

No, they have stopped showing old epidoes since wednesday. They did not finish all the 1998 episodes and not a single 1997 episode was shown. 😭. I only hope they show it. I really want to see Daya Sir's first episode and THE CASE OF MISSING BULLET.

I wish they had realised how much we want to see the old episodes than this.

The following files have been uploaded here
These files are password protected zip files and the password is my username.

CASE OF BLIND WITNESS Folder [2000]

Synopsis: This is the case before which ACP goes blind for sometime. How he still manages to solve the case makes it interesting. The bond between ACP and Daya Sir was very beautifully shown.

CASE OF DEEP WOUND Folder [1998]

Thank you so much Prabha. 😊 Amazingly enough, I actually remembered the Deep Wound case when I started watching it. It's nice to see the old Fredericks again, the one who wasn't a joker. I'm watching the Blind Witness case right now. This is great. 😊

BTW I noticed that, with the exception of The Accused Officer, the name of the episode does not show up in your videos. If it is not too much trouble, could you please ensure that the bit with the episode name does not get edited out? It's not a big issue really and it's ok if that's not possible.

Also, I remember that the first scene of The Blind Witness case (where the ACP goes blind) is actually the last scene of the previous case. Basically that case ended with the ACP unable to see anything and then this episode started with that final scene. Did they show that previous case yet?

Actually it takes time to capture such a short clip. It took time but I kept the Accused Officer title because I thought the way it was filmed was very interesting. The word Corruption showing on Abhi Sir's neck. I thought that was really interesting, I really like that shot. I have kept the one for THE CASE OF STOLEN GUN too because the moment I saw that title I knew it was Adi Sir and I got all excited to see a Non-Abhijit performance and man how well he performed. I will try to keep for further episodes but my stock is almost over. If they don't show older episodes, I just have one more case - THE CASE OF CRY FOR HELP. After that my stock is over.

Yes that case was aired before the Blind Witness case. It was a kidnapping related case. I know the case, I can narrate it if you want. I did not have the full case recorded but fortunately had the last part where ACP goes blind, so I thought I will include it with this one, for those who don't recollect what actually happened.
