STAR Plus remained unaffected by KBC and Bigg Boss, staying clearly on top of the GEC stakes with 361 GRPs (CS 4+, HSM, TAM) in Week 42. Colors was at 261, Sony was at 221 and Zee TV at 178 GRPs. SAB was at 99 and Imagine at 81. Link:www.campaignindia.in/Article/235892,week-42-ratings-kbc-fails-to-boost-sony.aspx

Priyanka thank you. 😃😃. I was waiting for this. The channel is back to its right position.👏 So Star Plus was unaffected but Zee was...just goes to show that if you have good stories with good screenplays then the audience will watch them irrespective of bollywood star supported short term programmes running on other channels.

ur welcome:) hehehe i was so happy:) was waiting from early morning for the ratings. Zee deserves this. They offer nothing new. They meddle with all their serials, have no respect for most PHs, copy tracks from old ekta serials and take the viewers for granted. Star is trying something new with every show and they give ample time for story development.

This was expected after seeing last weeks TVRs rates did expect KBC4 to make a dent in Zee even having mahaepisodes not getting them anywhere but pushing them down.actually I used to watch CB and as habit watched the other Zee serials now do not feeling like even stopping for one second at that channel just read updates routinely. This is viewer backlash for meddling with their sentiments and taking them for granted that they will see any thrash that a couple or few people heading the story dept want. The current set of people do not know any thing about the pulse of the audience. Priyanka thanks

ur welcome:) i hope we get cb2 or a new show with avina. To become no1 or no2 zee has to work really hard and bring in some freshness in their content & not always look for quick trps.

agree:) there is viewer resentment and backlash. Its not difficult to stop watching zee shows even if ur not a cb fan. My sis and cousin(they loved zee) used to hate chhoti bahu. But now they avoid zee shows cos they find them boring and sometimes irritating. They gave up watching sangini even if its has their fav iqbal khan.

This just goes to show that as viewers, we can shake things up.

All the maha episodes etc. did not help Zee.

To take a show (CB) that was doing well, had good TRP's, a new interesting track, a great fan following...and then to just end it abruptly, without any respect for the fans....and then to add fuel to fire by making irresponsible statements in the media and spouting lies about "TRP"s----this was totally unacceptable and an extremely poor strategic move by the Zee executives.

Zee can just go to sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thanks Priyanka for the info...Hope next SAB overtakes Zee..😃

I think we shud include this thread while sending letters to Z to show them the facts..THE CHANNEL IS NOT PERFORMING AND IT WILL NOT IF IT CONTINUES TO WORK IN OBNOXIOUS WAYS

Listen to viewers or perish is the thing Z needs to realize...soon

Thanks Priyanka ... was waiting to see this. Zee is now a solid 4 ... significantly behind Sony. When I looked at the TRPs last week even PR which usually comes No.1 in its time slot was coming in at No.2 or No.3. As others have stated, Zee meddled with CB that they could have safely left untouched for 3-6 months while they figured out the rest of their strategy. Instead they have this haphazard cutting and re-juggling of shows, trying out the same story lines in every show, etc ... and a very short sighted approach to TRPs - no wonder they are where they are

I am surprised though that the article states that KBC did not help Sony ... did they expect KBC to have even higher ratings and Sony to beat Star Plus ...Sony was grabbing the top 2 spots last week with KBC. Their other programmes are not strong enough to get on the Top 10 list though and maybe that was what they expected
