Radev, I am watching the old shows right now and after the first wedding Radhika has a dream sequence with Dev and in it Dev says that he will always do intezaar for her and each pal's separation until the suhaag raat will be like a saal for him. I would say just a few more pals than Dev anticipated and a little bit over a saal by my calculations starting tomorrow....😆😆😉

The whole Vishakha episode from the time she reclaims Dev after Radhika's first wedding until she runs away is disgusting to me. Her acting two-faced with showing concern to his face and making Radhika do the work for her and then trying to seduce him for waaris so she can get the Purohit wealth is just repulsive! She comes across just like Amma's g/daughter.
As for how Dev will react, I am hoping that Dev is more mature and less anger-prone by the time the truth comes out and he can see that all of this is not Radhika's doing. She is a victim in the first marriage scandal. Amma is on a losing track right now and this will all fall squarely in Amma, Devki and Vishakha's lap. Devki will try and wiggle out of it, I am sure.

(On the above highlighted part)
I loved Radhika during those times. Though she is crying most of the time, though she is not strong enough, though she is unable to tell the truth, though she dreams of Dev, though she pushes Dev towards Vishaka, though .. though .. though .. though a lot of CB viewers quit the show, though a lot of CB forumer moved out of this forum, I loved that innocent Radhika. The Radhika, who is just satisfied that Dev is and will be her husband in her heart and mind. The Radhika, who likes to catch a glimpse of him. The Radhika who is happy/satisfied to watch him eat the food prepared by her. <some more that I can't recollect> I loved that Radhika.

.....I love the new Radhika too ....😊

radev2010,
Dev's reaction when the 1st marriage truth is out would not be the same as that of the reaction when Radhika's truth of her being his dreamgirl was revealed.
This time I think, there would be clues after clues that may lead him upto the 1st marriage truth.
Instead of getting angry, he might sympathize with her and he might understand the atrocities done against her, he might understand her stand and why she herself couldn't reveal that truth.
If thats not how they show, then you can take this comment as how I want the truth to be out.😊

Bee, I agree with you. I watched the show for Radhika and I have said often enough that watching Radhika then and now is what keeps me coming back. My issues with the show are changing characters to the point that they are unrecognizable. And I hate bollywood sequences...... hate them, and hate them!
When watching Radhika taking small steps to lead her to where she is now over time is what makes this show beautiful. There are parts I would skip or like to forget were ever aired and there are episodes that make me revisit over and over again. I did not like Janmashtami maha episode because of the dances but embedded in there is the almost comical engagement proposal. I still enjoy the funny and the sad. I love the whole post Kshama Vrat period until the pre-fire wedding rituals. That is when you see Radhika going through her metamorphosis.
Radhika now is just a pleasure to watch. I don't mind an occasional throw-in episode if overall there are good ones to watch.

Thanks for reminding me of these episodes. I want to see this Dev again. I don't want him to be in turmoil, but I want him to be back to normal. I know he needs to grow and change and the CVs may be showing that but ah....these scenes you posted about brought back memories.
I think the first marriage truth may be the only thing that can stop the events that are about to unfold from snowballing into a big disaster for RaDev.

gardes,
Yes, I too did not like the Janmashtami or prior to that Holi episodes bcos of waste of time with bollywood song and dance thing. In the Holi episode, what I liked was that, we could still see that Radhika loves Dev and how he is trying to forget her. Like you mentioned, in Janmastami episode, the only saving grace for me too was the engagement proposal. How thankful Dev gets to Kahna when Shastriji mentions the proposal to Dev, how Dev says that he will only ask Radhika's feedback on the proposal, how finally Dev pops that question to Radhika so close in her ears.

Unlike you, I did not "love" the post kshama vrat till the pre-fire wedding ritual. If I think back, I think from the time Radhika was thrown off PB, the story had a glitch. They was still good and gut-wrenching, but I think there was some disconnect to the story prior. There was drama in how Radhika goes off to ashram, how Dev finds her out, Dev's sadness, how Radhika saves Shahstriji from jal-samashi, and how finally Radhika comes back home. They were all good episodes. But the story prior had IMO a earthen freshness and that was lost forever in the drama.

The courtship episodes IMO were "OK", colorful docu-drama kinda episodes.

All the episodes from the kshamavrat till the fire, till the actual 2nd marriage were all just "OK", "one-off", "Seinfield kind of episodes".

I am happy lately the creatives are weaving a good story, but I still do not "love" the episodes. What I love are the old episodes. These episodes , I just "like" them.

p.s: guys, whoever is reading: You do not have to agree to whatever I like, I just am writing what I feel.😊

Bee, you and I will always have our differences on how we view the show and I am okay with that, but I have expressed my opinion in your response below.

Janmashtami puja leading to the proposal was almost hilarious with all the characters having some running around - secrets, revelations, cat and mouse game, etc. I ffwded the songs. Loved it overall.

But the story prior had IMO a earthen freshness and that was lost forever in the drama. - I agree that Radhika out of PB and the Munshiji track and all that was contrived. I tolerated the Kshama Vrat as it was to lead to the engagement finally. The reason I like the engagement phase was that Radhika was a "little" repressed in her interaction with Dev with 'Hmm" on the phone calls. From there he draws her out and to me that is Radhika's switch from repression to acceptance and intimacy, past the PB live-in situation and taking care of him.

The courtship episodes IMO were "OK", colorful docu-drama kinda episodes.

All the episodes from the kshamavrat till the fire, till the actual 2nd marriage were all just "OK", "one-off", "Seinfield kind of episodes". - I looked at the outcomes of these episodes and not necessarily each episodes. To me they could be poor quality shows but there was a purpose.

I am happy lately the creatives are weaving a good story, but I still do not "love" the episodes. What I love are the old episodes. These episodes , I just "like" them. -For a while lately the episodes were disjointed and purposeless but they have started to pick up speed and it shows. The story is developing and I look forward to resolutions of old tracks and introduction of new ones. The circles have got to go. They remind me of the dog chasing its tail.

p.s: guys, whoever is reading: You do not have to agree to whatever I like, I just am writing what I feel.😊 - No more agreements or disagreements from me after this! 😉😆
