1) Vish has better sense ... and she hates her amma coz of this ugly incident (haath mat lagayiye amma mujhe aap .... aap radhika ka haath jalana chaahti thi ?? mujhe aapse nafrat ho gayi hai amma ... aapne mujhe hamesha ke liye kho diya hai ... aapne jo kiya hai na amma, uske liye aapko yehi sazaa milni chahiye ... (Next to babuji, the only other person who shows spunk, backbone, spine ... is our vishaka..)

Didnot see the episode just read the update and now your analysis.......... I have to see this episode especially to hear those fantastic dialogues in shudhdh hindi from Shastriji.....My son hates my CB addiction, so I always watch it when he is not around, but I nag him and make him listen to just Shastriji's dialogues so that he could at least hear some chaste hindi and realise what a fantastic language it is 👏........ But alas....Most of the times he runs back to his room saying something negative or making fun of the characters ....😭As I read through your analysis, I realised there is once again a role reversal between Vishakha and Radhika....... Amma tried to burn Radhika's hands during that bangle scene and now with this Mehndi............. But her dearest Poti is the one who had to go through the same pain now which Radhika had to go through on such an important day of her life... Thankfully Radhika had Dev to put malham on her wounds....... Now Amma has to run around to find the right cure for her jigar ka tukda.....I think this is a milestone episode as now Vishakha is showing her digust to Amma openly..........So its time for Amma to sing the song which I dedicated to her....Na kisi ki aankh ka noor hoon...........

Poonam, I knew it was only matter of time she would turn on Radhika and show her true colors but let's wait and see what happens.
Yes radev24, a very powerful episode. In fact apart from all the beautiful Radev moments they have shown in the past this is probably my favorite episode.
I loved so many dialogues: the one between Lali and the girls, the ones between father and mother, the ones between the two sisters, but the one particular dialogue that touched me to the core was the one where Shastriji says something to the effect that we will have to face the consequences of our actions on this very earth and in this lifetime. That to me is one of the Universal Truths.
Shastriji feels guilty about his harsh words towards Amma, after all she is his mother. He also speaks of never opposing her evil acts and thoughts towards Radhika because he did not want to cross the boundaries of relationships. These I thought were very thought provoking.
Which duty is more justified; his duty as a son in never correcting Amma when she was being evil towards a child or his duty as a father towards a helpless child he had brought home and promised to give her every protection in the world.
When does your sense of right become strong enough that you can take that final step to cross boundaries created by relationships and correct a grave injustice that has been happening in front of your eyes for years?
To me, one of the most heart breaking and probably unforgiving wrong is the one committed against a helpless child. Reminds me of a story of a Brahmin by the name Poonthanam, a Vishnu bakht from one of the southern states of India. I have heard different variations of the same story but this is the one I have heard the most.
One day on his way to the temple he came across children playing on the street. One little boy walked up to him and asked for something. In his hurry, Poonthanam pushed the child away. Unknown to him the child was none other than Vishnu. Poonthnam had a little baby boy of his own. His baby died when he was 6 months due to a fluke accident on the part of Poonthanam's family. Grief stricken and looking for some answers as to why such a fate befell him, he immersed himself in the Lord. Vishnu then came to him and said children are God's gift to you(humans) and you pushed away a child. Intentional or unintentional that was a grave mistake and hence as a consequence of your misdeed you will never get to enjoy the pleasure of being a father. So, is Shastriji not standing up for the child Radhika a bigger mistake than hurting his mother by calling upon her evil actions.
Another story that comes to my mind is that of Dhruva's. Was King Uttanapad right in not standing up for his son Dhruva when Dhruva's stepmother was ill treating him?
Just like Shastriji tells Amma about karma, is all the emotional upheaval he has been going through and will further go through when the truth is out, a result of his inaction as a father?
And like him Devki too was a part of the injustice done towards Radhika over the years. Is the loss of her own child for a period of time when Vishaka went to Mumbai, her guilt over all the wrongs she and Amma did towards Radhika, the fear of repercussion when the truth comes out, all a consequence she is facing for not stopping the injustice done to a helpless child.
Vishaka and Radhika too in their own way have suffered or are suffering or will have to face the consequences for the wrongs they have done in this life time.
And what will it take Amma to realize her mistakes? Will it be Vishaka who will show Amma the truth about all her misdeeds. Yesterday we saw Amma's lack of remorse when Shastriji condemned her for her deed and her anger towards Radhika increases ten fold. We also saw Amma's hurt when Vishaka said she hates Amma for what she has done. Will Vishaka's hatred and indifference pave the path for Amma's realization of all her evil deeds. It will be interesting to watch the story as it unfolds.
The one thing I personally do not agree with is, Shastriji's desire for Amma's acceptance of Radhika's worth. However, I completely understand why he wants that. If he has to disown Amma because of her evil deeds towards Radhika he would but in the process it will also break his heart and soul. If Amma finally realizes Radhika's worth and starts accepting Radhika as her granddaughter then Shastriji subconsciously will be at peace with himself and will not have to live with the guilt of abandoning his mother. Consciously, he of course wants Radhika to have a grandmother's love and respect.
All in all one of my favorite episodes and a wonderful review by you.
We've known all along the way vishaka is a pampered, spoiled child all the way into adulthood, devil-may-care attitude, selfish, self-centered, etc... But she's now realizing, slowly but surely, the gems she lost in pursuit of gaining ad achieving her life-long dreams .. How, when and what consequences she's going to face due to her 'karmas' .. remains to be seen ... What she has in store is anybody's guess ... but maybe not DJs ..
