I justify Texan's assessment. Radhika is not that inncocent as she has been widely picturized. She craves to be Dev's wife ....... If she really wanted Dev and Vish to be happy then she should've married that boy and left the past. Sacrifice should be sensible- it should be a spiritual transformation and not just doing something for a cause.

Is Radhika innocent? innocent of what exactly. What are you accusing her of? That she in her heart truly doesn't want to see Vishakha happy and tho she is showing outwardly that she is sacrificing, in her heart of heart she is hoping that she'll be with Dev someday and Vish will be out of her life? Is that the accusation? That she is conniving enough to think that way?

I don't agree. Here is why.

First, Radhika is a true devotee of Kanha. Kanha appears to her and encourages her and gives her support. God only appears to people who are true of heart. To show God supporting someone who is not so innocent would be sacrilage.

Secondly, Radhika is human. She cannot be expected to be perfect in her ways. He heart is in the right place. But her mind is not aware of what the right course of action is for her to do. She only reacts to the situations in front of her. When its choosing between her right to claim to be Dev's wife vs. Vishakha's happiness.. she'll choose Vishakha's happiness because that will give more happiness to the family that she is eternally grateful too. When its between her love for Dev vs. her father's honor she'll give more importance to her father's honor.

But she is still a human with a heart that loves the man she married. When they are alone and the man she loves is standing in front of her expressing his agony over his lost love, her heart obviously will do flips and want to console him. She revels in his love even if for a second when he tells her how much he loves her she forgets all reasons and allows herself a smile. Its not a conniving smile that comes from thinking "So he is still in love with me, means i got a chance... Vishakha tera khel khatam" instead its a momentary lapse of memory where all she remembers is that she loves Dev, Dev loves her and she is married to him. But the moment the rest of the world and particularly her family comes into her mind, she'll deter herself from advancing towards him.

That is not called inconsistency or hipocracy. Its called a genuine state of confusion where a person is forever under a dilemma about what is right and what is wrong and what decision or action will cause the least amount of harm to the least amount of people.

At the same time why she doesn't marry someone else and why she wears a sindoor on Dev' name and performs all vrats and duties etc...

its not with the intention of getting Dev back at some point. But Rads is a religious woman. She places great importance on rituals. She might have gotten convinced by Amma earlier that Vish is the real wife.. but later after much thought and deliberation she herself came to the conclusion that she was the rightful wife. So she cannot with full concious marry another man when she considers herself married. At the same time, the story was so advanced at that point that she couldn't claim what is her right to claim either because it will destroy her father and that family. So whats the greater evil, to allow things as they were or to call out the injustice and be responsible for possible suicide by her parents after the kind of humilaition they will face.

Radhika is in deep pickle where she has to choose between a rock and a hard place. No matter what she does she'll recieve flack for it. If she keeps quiet then she is unfair to Dev and his immense love and also a sinner because she is not doing her dharm. If she reveals the truth then she becomes a selfish, ungrateful woman who some might even call a husband stealer and a cheater (for getting married to Dev instead of Vish in the first place). So there is not much of a good choice for her to make here.

She is doing the best she can with what she's got. Hoping that Vish will turn around and give Dev the love he deserves and then possibly the issues will die down in their life so then she can live in oblivion as Kanha's wife lifelong. But Vish is usually the reason Rads keeps getting thrust in front of Dev.
