Written Update - 19 December 2008

Sorry for the delay. I got caught up in some things.

In Dev's house his mom comes back from the arti and Mrinalini is walking up all sleepy (so funny she is wearing a sparkling pink saree and in full makeup trying to look like she just got up from bed). The whole family assembles. Vivek asks Dev how he like Vrindavan. Dev says its beautiful thinking of Radhika and wonders how everyone in Vrindavan seems so content in what they have. Dev's dad is about to open the topic of marriage again and Dadi interjects and tells everyone that Dev has selected a girl for himself and its Vishakha, Brij Mohan Shashtri's daughter. Everyone is happy. Dev's parents and Dadi go to get sweets and Mrinalini tells Dev that he is really sharp. Dev says he couldn't see her troubles anymore so now the choti bahu will help shoulder her responsibilities and take care of everything. Mrinalini rolls her eyes.

Dev's dad tells Vaishali that he wants to know everything about this girl before getting too excited. He calls Birju and tells him to investigate about Brij Mohan's daughter without anyone finding out.

Radhika is in the kitchen boiling milk and is lost in thoughts of Dev. She is smiling a little bit (again the beautiful song in the background. I must rip it..don't know where its from). Devki walks in and Radhika comes out of her thoughts. Devki thinks Radhika was lost in thoughts of her Kanha again and says that she must have been both Radha and Meera in previous birth otherwise you can't be so lost in Kanha all the time. Vishakha comes out and tells Devki that she is going for her music class else she will be late. Birju who is eavesdropping outside the house goes towards the music school. He goes in searching for Vish. He stops in front of a classroom and the teacher is taking attendance. He calls out VIshakha and another girl stands up. Birju thinks this girl cannot be Dev's dream girl as she doesn't look too good. He thinks that its definitely some bhoot who keeps changing her looks. Then Purab calls out to Vishakha in the hallway and Birju sees her. Birju is confused and decides to take a picture of Vish in his cell phone.

Briju shows Vishakha's picture to Dev's parents and they are happy. But Purohitji get angry at him for not taking more pictures. Dev comes there and they try to make excuses but Dev snatches the phone from Birju. But he doesn't see Vish's pic because it got deleted. Dev suspects something but his father says that its nothing and he goes away. Dadi comes and asks Birju to tell her about her choti bahu. Birju says that he had followed her but he was a bit worried as she seemed to have a lot of makeup and she was talking to a guy in close proximity so he was a bit confused about Dev's choice. Mrinalini comes there and says its nothing to be confused about as Dev was in America and so his taste will have changed. She says that they'll never get the kind of Choti Bahu they are lokoing for. Dadi asks Vaishali for her opinion and Vaishali says that she too felt that the girl will not be able to live up to the expectations from her. She will have a lot of responsibilities as the Choti Bahu. Dadi says we can't have everything. If you sent your son to America for studies then its not fair to expect him to be married to a seedhi-shaadhi girl from a village. Purohitji says that we'll make Dev understand but Dadi says she trusts his pasand. She says (for Mrinalini to hear) that even if Dev likes a foreigner there will be something good in her. Purohitji says that he'll find out about their family from the pandit.

Pandit comes to Brij Mohan saying that Purohitji wants Vishakha for their son. Brij Mohan and Devki are shocked but happy. Vishakha walks in hearing this and is furious. She takes Radhika to her room and says she is a liar and cheat. She says that Rads knew about this and lied to her to bring her back home. Rads is confused as she doesn't know anything. Vish tells her that her marriage is already fixed and its all her fault. Vish says that she wasn't born to hide behind a ghoongat and she wants fame. She says that if she had not come back with Radhika she would have been in Mumbai by now meeting producers. Devki walks in with sweets and tells both of them that tomorrow Dev's family is coming to see Vish. Devki takes Rads with her to do work and Vish thinks angrily that she won't allow anyone to come between her and her dreams. She won't let this marriage happen. END

Comments: it was nice to see Radhika thinking of Dev for a change. She too has fallen for him.😳 I hope its them two getting married and Radhika doesn't live like a Radha or Meera all her life. I didn't like the comparison in today's epi. I hope she marries Dev.
