@Myra, you are right. Sometimes negative promotion can be quite beneficial too especially in the beginning. See how many movies/books become hit when there are demands for their ban. If nobody would have protested against them, general public wouldn't even have known or thought much about these movies/books.
So initially, I was thinking that it was a bad idea and even now I am not sure. But many will tune in just for curiosity. If the product turns out to be good, then they can get hooked. TV is all about getting hooked to a particular show. A show that was good and had good fan following in the beginning keeps on running for a while even when the quality goes down.
The promo and even SBB had more focus on Avinash's character Shloak - a rough tough guy who seems to be quite set in his ways and has regressive views about women despite modern outward appearance. Also the promo concentrated a lot on his attitude and his duplicity. So far I have seen two of this PH's shows. In both, the male lead character was always been quite grey with layers. Here Shloak seems the same way. Since this PH also produced Avi's TMLS where he was another grey character, they must have realized his potential.

@sonia ,It isn't that we are being effected by their comments .This is the second season experience which is affecting us.
