Newsroom is here updating fans on the latest developments of Star Plus launching a new season of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon with a new production house and lead pair.
According to a source,"Star Plus apparently had a deal with 4 lions to buy the franchise name 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' from Gul Khan's production house."
The promo released of the new season (IPKKND) and initially the response has been very negative with Newsroom receiving mails,Facebook and Twitter messages from fans to ask Star to change the title which is next to impossible as Star India has invested a huge amount in the show to make it grander and bigger this time.
According to latest news from Star,the show will replace Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saraswatichandra in mid september of this year,as the show didn't rock the trp chart.
Apparently Saraswatichandra has not received a extension by Star which puts a question mark on the future of the show.(The extension expires in September).
But fans of Saraswatichandra don't loose hopes as Star is still analyzing the performance of the show but most likely Saraswatichandra will be pulled off air.
Newsroom contacted Jennifer Wingett who denied to comment on any development.

Show timing for Avi's new show can be - Monday to Friday : 7:30 pm

So, it is cleared now that Gul Khan , producer of 4Lions have sold off the name franchise to STAR [Which is quite disgusting 😡 I am both fan of Avi and ofcourse IPKKND ] . STAR did trick again . Hope it will not backfire. Between I love the character of Shlok 😳 Show gonna rock for sure 😃

They are saying the show will replace Saraswatichandra ! So, I am confused 😕 If they ends SC ; then the slot can be 7:30 pm 😊

I am not sure why they need to name this IPKKND2. So far this season concept doesn't seem to be working in TV world. People seems to come to watch season 2 with the expectation that actors would be same and the story would be similar to what was shown before. Or maybe those shows were not good to begin with (PV2 for example).

The promo here is very promising and of course actors are really good with Sphere Origin a good PH. So this initial publicity (negativity) may give them a jump start with ratings that would hopefully be backed by the good show.

You are welcome dear !! Actually, there was no need of the name IPKKND 😡 . We ( Fans of Arshi) were expecting the show to start again with the same pair. Everyone expects it !

@Bold I am completely agree with you. Hope the show will do well . I am sure they are using it to just attract the audiences. Hope the concept of the show will be a strong point which will keep the audiences stick to it.

Yes the promo is promising. Avinash as a Shlok looking damn cool 😳 Hope the show will do well unlike PV2 .

Name can be same. No problem. But it is not needed to copy story and scenes. Hope CVs won't do it.
