Some of the scenes or part of scenes have already been used before in other VMs. So it is not using too many new scenes.

The title of the VM is "Singing in the Rain" based on the song by Frank Sinatra. The link of the song is given below.

Some of relevant lyrics applying to Dev and Radhika are:

Singing in the Rain (By Frank Sinatra)

Im singin in the rain
Just singin in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
And Im happy again.
Im laughing at clouds
So dark, up above,
The suns in my heart
And Im ready for love.

Following is the VM "Singing in the Rain"

Angie liked your VM and was smiling seeing Radhika and Bholu in their own world ...but I could not understand that why did you use the guest house scene..that was one place where Radhika was not happy and was worried.

Ps. Angie Sorry to use this space but just a reminder everyone pls go to Avina fanpage and comment at least once a day twice would be awesome

Chayya, thanks. l like the dance by Gene Kelly too. These scenes with Dev and Radhika were cute. Also the kidnapping track was the best track. Bharadwaj track before Kanha/bhoot appeared was also pretty good.

I have no problem if you use the thread to promote Avina.

Neerja, thanks. The music was very good and if I am not mistaken, it was RD Burman's last movie where he provided music. RD Burman is one of my favorite music directors and his combination of music with Kishore Kumar as a singer are among my favorite songs.

Ek Ladki song is also very good and can be picturized on both Dev/Radhika of CB1 and CB2.

Angie sorry for the very late reply. Thanks for making this VM. I liked your VM, specially liked the episode that you chose for this VM. This episode was definitely one of the best ones in CB2. As you have said every character was true to themself and the emphasis was on the right charatcers.

Misti, no problem about the late reply. It is good to see you back on the forum. This was one of those few episodes that was quite flawless. Every character from both families was highlighted in this episode in appropriate screen space. But the main characters remained Dev and Radhika with Rohan between them. Also I really liked how they showed the transformation in Radhika's emotions from ecstacy to shock to sadness/grief.

Angie very apt poem for the song. As for your VM I liked the Malaysia part because I finally got to see the HM scenes without the Jack in the Box suddenly popping up on the screen...I was not too keen on the Goa honeymoon part because to me that episode was one of the worst of CB1.They made a complete mockery of Radhika in that episode. That is why I avoid watching that Goa episode but I like the others scenes of Goa episode specailly when Dev gets to know that Rdahika has lied to him about Voashaka, Radhika's worry regarding him not returning and their heart to heart talk...Dev's hurt...Radhika's guilt.

Yes, I remember your Jack in the Box comment from earlier commantaries. So many people were put off by that track because they really brought Shantanu in such an idiotic way especially on the SR day. On top of that, they did really shameless promotion of some Indian restaurant in Malaysia. That was extremely irritating. I think that was the beginning of the end of CB1.

But even though Shantanu's introduction was quite bad, there were some scenes that were very nice in that track. One was when Radhika brought Dev out of depression and then when there is a hug scene (included in the VM) where Dev is asking if Radhika was happy now that he had put other things behind. The way both hugged each other was quite nice.

Goa HM episodes were silly to say the least where first of all they made Radhika as a country bumpkin in a very cartoonish way. I only took couple of scenes from the Goa HM where she and Dev were shown more normal. One was when they were enjoying themselves on the beach and other was when Radhika is pensive on the beach as she wanted to tell the truth to Dev before the SR. I took the last scene of both on the motorbike to show them as carefree and strictly cut all the scenes where they were shown drunk.

You are right about the last episode from Goa track where Dev was shown hurt as a normal human being would feel and Radhika was shown to feel guilty. That was the time when they showed that growth in Radhika where she finally realizes Vishaka's true colors. Also they showed her realization that she had truly hurt Dev by her actions. Wish they had shown that kind of reactions when the truth about the first wedding came out.

😆 about your comment on peacock feather. I remember some made fun of that feather scene when that episode was shown. It was quite cheesy. I also was hesitant to include that even though I wanted to include the jhula scene. But I wanted a scene where at least Radhika is quiet. So I tried to include the earlier part of this scene so that feather scene could be edited out. But both were speaking in that earlier part and so I was forced to include the part where feather is there. Of course I could have used some other episode but I was trying to use post second marriage scenes. I had liked this episode because of how they had shown Radhika and Dev.

Misti, thanks.

But am really impressed with your comments. Trust you to pick the scene which I was extremely hesitant to use. I removed it few times before I decided to finally include it. I included it for the simple reason that I ran out of rain scenes and the song length was longer. I even thought of cutting off the song, but then decided against it. So I added that cottage scene where at least Bholu was somewhat happy.

But check the VM again on the previous page. I have edited it and now have included a scene from their dream house talk. There is rain in the background and so hopefully it works better now.

Angie first congrats for becoming a Rocker. You finally did it.

Thanks for letting me know that you chose the scene because of the presence of rain. I felt that it might have been rain that made you chose that scene. The reason why that scene stood out and I did not feel it to be a part of the VM was because Radhika was not smiling. Also that scene reminded me of the fact that the lunatic was in the near by room.

I liked the new version of your VM...Its much better than the earlier one.

The next VM is based on the song "Jab bhi dil udas hota hai" from the movie Seema. I have used some episodes for this VM that were among the best from CB1 as they showed a lot of emotions of Dev and Radhika. There were details in these scenes that were never shown in CB2.

I have named this VM "The Presence of Love". The title is from a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, a cotemporary of William Wordsworth. Even though this is a sad song, there is also some consolation of feeling the presence of one's love. The poem also suits Dev/Radhika of CB1.

The Presence of Love (By Samuel Taylor Coleridge)

And in Life's noisiest hour,
There whispers still the ceaseless Love of Thee,
The heart's Self-solace and soliloquy.

You mould my Hopes, you fashion me within;
And to the leading Love-throb in the Heart
Thro' all my Being, thro' my pulse's beat;
You lie in all my many Thoughts, like Light,
Like the fair light of Dawn, or summer Eve
On rippling Stream, or cloud-reflecting Lake.

And looking to the Heaven, that bends above you,
How oft! I bless the Lot that made me love you.

Following is the VM "The Presence of Love".
