Misti, thanks. I used that beginning scene as the starting point because that was the second engagement where Dev really felt free of all his past. He had divorce papers from Vishaka and his relationship with Radhika was sanctioned by everyone. Since he didn't know the truth about the first marriage, this was the point where he felt that both had rights on each other. I really liked the scene where both are alone in front of Kanha and he brings her hand to him. Your interpretation of the beginning and the last scene is exactly how I saw these scenes.

I agree that it was best of CB1 the way they showed that progression of relationship. That is the time where Radhika started believing in her own worth. They showed some of it after that Goa trip when Dev was guilt ridden and Amma/Vishaka were taking advantage of that. Unfortunately they ruined it by bringing in that one-night stand track that brought down Dev and Radhika.

But there was a lot of romance in these scenes and yet they brought high ratings because everything was in context of story and kept the characterization of Dev and Radhika consistent.

I have always thought that the wedding on the terrace was the most romantic wedding of CB1 because it was such a personal wedding for both of them in a temple with only five elements as witness. Also they showed in a perfect way where Amma was shown trying to remove evidence of the first wedding and not succeeding because of invisible presence of Kanha who was protecting Radhika. It was too bad that those photos were never used in that Vishaka track.

Misti, thanks.

Now coming to your VM...loved it. This one had two of my fav scenes...the one in the beginning to me is the most passionate scene in CB1...Radhika coy, bashful but loving all the attention from Dev...and the boy in full force ...all action, smouldering and also mischievous. This to me was even more passionate scene than their KL suhag raat scene where I was praying that Shantanu does not pop out from either the cupboard or from under the bed during their SR like a Jack n the box. The last scene where Dev is imaging Radhka putting uptan on him was very funny... specially when he puts the uptan on that man dreaming that the man is Radhika.

I agree that this scene was the most passionate. And it was expressions and body language of Avinash and Rubina that made it so where Dev and Radhika were not even touching each other.

The SR was made ridiculous the way they brought Shantanu as a SRK type character. If you watch Dev and Radhika's SR as a stand alone scene, it was not bad. In fact, the second day part was quite good. But the way Shantanu was shown as a lurking figure or Vishaka was shown as this person who could suddenly cook or sing aarti was ridiculous. It was the same with the SR they showed during Abhay track. As a standalone scene, that was quite a passionate scene. But the way they brought down Dev's character during that episode ruined it for many people.

The last scene was hilarious where he sas openly dreaming about Radhika. Dadi was laughing indulgently whereas Vaishali was sulking at this action of Dev because she was feeling insecure about his relationship with Radhika.

My next VM is based on Abhay track. I was making another VM on Abhay track, but I heard this song "Mitwa" from the movie "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna". The lyrics suit Dev/Abhay of CB1. So I made this VM instead. I have tried to make it the way I wanted to see Abhay track where he was confused in the beginning but was drawn to Radhika. Then the appropriate ending would have an active role for him where he would have investigated the truth and come back to Radhika. Instead he was made such a passive person in the last month that the whole track was ruined.

I have titled it "Every Road Leads Back to You". The title is taken from a song by Bette Midler. Some of lyrics suit Dev/Abhay. Following is the link of the song and some lyrics.

"Every Road Leads Back To You"

Old friend, here we are,
after all the years and tears
and all that we've been through.
It feels so good to see you.
Lookin' back in time,
there've been other friends and other lovers,
but no other one like you.
All my life, no one ever has known me better.

I must have traveled down a thousand roads.
Been so many places, seen so many faces,
always on my way to somethin' new.
Ohhh, but it doesn't matter,
'cause no matter where I go,
every road leads back,
every road just seems to lead me back to you.

Following is the link of the VM "Every Road Leads Back to You". It is posted in vimeo because youtube again gave me a copyright strike when I posted it there.

Edit: One last try to post it on youtube. I have changed the title and maybe this time it will not be deleted.

My next VM is using CB2. Dev and Radhika of CB2 remain my favorite characters even though I did like Radhika and Dev of CB1 too. But CB2 characters as they were introduced had more potential and were more complex. So I always like to make VMs on these characters. I used the song that was suggested by Misti in May. I hadn't used that song because Heena also wanted to make it on this song. Since she hasn't used it so far, I decided to use the song because I had an episode in mind for this song. Hope Heena doesn't mind.

I had used the second part of this episode for one of my earlier VMs. Here I am using the first part of that episode for the initial sequence. This was one of the best episodes of CB2 where each character was quite consistent. The emphasis was on Dev and Radhika with Rohan having an important role. Not only these three characters, but other characters were also used appropriately.

Misti, this VM titled "Yearning" is for you. This is using the song "tu pyar kisi aur ka" from the movie "Dil Hai ki Manta Nahi". The editing of the VM could have been better but my video software is not working smoothly. I was in two minds about the ending of this VM. Initially I ended with Dev's POV, but later on I changed the ending and made it from Radhika's POV as the last stanza of the song is from her POV.

Here is the VM "Yearning".
