Neerja, thanks. Yes, that boat scene was very well depicted. Also in early days, they focused on emotions of Dev and Radhika and showed them. The writing team changed in the middle of the episodes. Even though the story kept on changing almost from the beginning and there were some inconsistencies in characterization of Dev and even Radhika in the first few months, the focus was still on the theme.

I am making another VM these days. The first 2 minutes use one scene and even there I had to edit a lot as I couldn't use the entire scene. There was so much of focus on Dev and Radhika. The last part of the VM requires about 40 seconds of Dev and Radhika's emotions from episodes from August. I had hard time getting it from two episodes even though the episodes were supposed to be about them.

But I haven't yet gotten the scenes for it in my mind. But I will definitely try it one of these days. I make VMs on songs once I can figure out the scenes. If I try to force them either on my song or somebody else's song, usually I end up doing a bad job.

Take your time, Angie. I love all your special VM, and I know how difficult it is to make it, especially because you synchronize RaDev's beautiful scenes from the movie with the message of each song / poem. It is a work to be treasured by all!!!

who was intersted in execution of Dev,s characterization , he was just caricatured ...His brains or should say presence of mind was working off and on ...Why did he kidnapped her next day why not the same day when she was going as a lamb to be slaughtered , and he was just satisfied when he saw her sleeping in the balcony ...If this night was to use for some other track ,did not materialized , could have gone with logic about this track also ...In fact tracks were changing at the drop of the hat , makers were not sure how they wanted to take the story forward ...Misti sorry could not stop myself writing , i think that time ,it was quite irritating track ..Hats off to Angie for her creations ,how she is trying to catch the moments to go with her lyrics ..

Neerja no need to apologise. You wrote what you felt and u are entitled to your opinion. Why should you aplogise for it? Anyway coming to Bholu...yes he was butchered from the beginning of the show (I mean right from the entrance of the adult Dev)...the only difference is that the earlier writers tried to maintain a balance or atleast the episodes were presented in such a way that a slight balance was maintianed but after the July ME everything became topsy turvey ...again I am basing my thoughts on how the episodes were executed and on the dialogues. The only saving grace for me were Avinash's expressions which helped me keeping my connection with Dev.

Coming to our comment regarding Angie, she is doing a very good job in VM's and kudos to her for her patience regarding going through the episodes to find the right scenes to match with the lyrics of the song.

Angie i like the way you use the dialogues in your VM which also adds to essence , infact frankly speaking , i feel CB should have been this way ...Must be quite tough to find the scenes where as in CB 1 , you rarely has to edit the scenes it just is amma Ji as she was over the top with her expressions and actions ...There are so many beautiful songs which goes with Dev Radhika,s character but , there are no scenes ...There are few scenes which i think you have not used When Dev asks Radhika to not to go,she was with him in the room and Rohan has threatened Radhikaand she goes looking at him , pleading mutely , ,just looking at him ...second when Rohan corners Radhika when on run , she looks at him with trapped dear and when rohan shoots Dev and radhika ,s expressions, like a rag doll , rohan dragging her ...I have short memory just thought perhaps have not used

Misti, you are right about them playing with Dev and even Radhika and Kanha. I was so irritated when they showed Radhika making a decision to come as a fake wife justifying it in name of Kanha and then Kanha's shankh playing in the background as if he was approving her decision. In fact, if I remember correctly ratings fell sharply after that as viewers were not interested in that. They could have easily shown Radhika's entry in some other way and we wrote about it a lot in your thread.

Then that SR scene was very disappointing because just hours before they had shown Dev stopping the wedding by using his brains. I remember your writeup from that thread. We also knew the reason for that. That scene was shown in mid June and there was an article of Barkha's entry in late May. So they had decided that if fake husband of Radhika wasn't working, it was going to be either fake wife of Dev or second wife of Dev track. So that SR scene was done to start their Barkha track.

However, seeing how they butchered the show and Dev's character from July ME onwards, those episodes were indeed infinitely better. Also at least Kanha was not shown in person and saying those annoying lines of Padma/Dai being Yasodas or Dev being the best husband.

However, those early episodes concentrated on Dev and Radhika and camera used to linger on them for several minutes capturing their emotions. Side characters had important roles but they were not overwhelming the episodes. Later on, everyone's role was reduced and the most injustice was done to Dev.

I have no problem watching episodes where Dev used to act unreasonable in early episodes. But the later episodes just anger me because of the way Dev character was brought down. These days I am forced to watch many later episodes because of VMs but Avinash's expressions are the only saving grace there.

Angie , not offending anyone , do you find Dev in later episodes ? What a irony ,he was deprived of dialogues but makers could not take away his expressions from him...As for side characters in other shows , all have their part in the show ,sometime important to bring twist in the show , but here others charcters wre also turned in to extras ...Just once read in Pragati,s post , she has written , is this my right decision to come again in CB...None was given importance except one two characters ...Yes no doubt Raubina got the opportunity to show her acting skills ...

Angie very beautiful VM...you have chosen the riht scenes to put across Radhika's thoughts...when she used to feel that Dev is around or that the person whom she has been waiting for is close by...I also liked the othr song that you have chosen. When I think of Rdahika and Dev this poem of Shelley's comes to my mind. Misti, thanks. I had picked up about six scenes for this song, but then I realized that I only needed three scenes because the song was not that long and these scenes were quite long. I especially like the second scene where Dev is upset standing in the window whereas Radhika is in her own world. Despite Dev's obnoxious behavior towards her, she is happy because she found that box where Dev had kept those childhood momentos.

Misti, this is a beautiful poem by Shelley. You are right that this is from Dev's POV. But I expect that from you. Also you and Rajsri have influenced me. Before Chalhov's song, I was thinking of a VM and then I realized that most of the VMs have been from Dev's perspective. I only made few from Radhika's POV even though I had intended to do opposite. So that's why I choose that song of Chalhov which was from Radhika's POV. The next one is also from Radhika's POV.
