Previously we saw how Mansaram was shocked when Dadajee said that Radhika was not his DIL. Further, Dadajee proposes Dev and Radhika's marriage to Mansaram, leaving him utterly stumped. Feeling puzzled, Mansaram becomes tongue tied but is unable to deny Dadajee's proposal and reluctantly agrees for the same, which leaves Dev and Radhika elated. Dadajee asks Radhika to go along with Mansaram and soon he would come to ask his hand for Dev. While walking back home, Mansaram asks Radhika to clarify the situation and Radhika tells him the entire truth that had transpired until then. After hearing the entire chain of events, Mansaram feels joyous on learning that Dev was Radhika's actual KK and happily takes her back home. On reaching home, when Shanti and Chanda learn of Dev's proposal for Radhika, they are taken aback and are annoyed with the turn of events. Around a day later, Dadajee and Purohit Family arrive with the Shagun and decide that the wedding shall take place on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. Shanti and Chanda are angry and curse Radhika. On the other hand, Dev and Radhika get to spend some sweet lonely moments with each other, away from the family. Amidst all this, Barkha who goes to hospital for some work, ends up finding an injured Rohan and takes him along with her to the Cottage. She keeps an injured Rohan, who is unable to move his limbs due to the accident, in the dark room and leaves him alone in the locked cottage, as a punishment for making Radhika's life a hell!

Soon the engagement day comes up. Dev and Radhika are happy for being united after all these hardships, so are the Purohit Members. However, during the engagement, the priest disapproves Radhika's relation with Dev because she had been Rohan's wife prior. Dadajee tries removing the doubts of the priest by stating slowly that Rohan and Radhika were never married. The Priest however tells that how can Dadajee announce this to the entire world? Dadajee is left disturbed by this. The engagement ceremony happens smoothly, but Radhika notices the wariness in Dadajee's face. She enquires about it but he just smiles it away.

Next Day, Dev is asked to join the dharm sabha with Dadajee for understanding the nitty-gritty's in decision making. Meanwhile Mohini, who had overheard the conversation between Dadajee and Priest, informs of the priest's doubts to Maheshwari and Virat, who inturn take full advantage of the situation. In the dharm sabha, a woman comes in to ask justice to RP and Dev. The woman claims her husband had thrown her out of the house, merely because she stayed away an entire night. Her husband is called upon to hear his version of the story. The woman's husband smirks at RP's decision making ability because the RP was making a 'characterless woman' as his DIL. Dadajee is shocked and left thinking after this accusation while Dev is furious to hear this and reacts. However Dadajee calms him down, but his own fears start raising their heads. The man who had cast aspersions on Radhika's character was apparently bribed by Maheshwari, who was happy with her plan getting successful and she sends another letter to Dadajee containing something similar so that Dev-Radhika's marriage is cancelled.

Dadajee who is now in a serious dilemma calls upon Radhika to clear his confusion and heartlessly asks her to sacrifice Dev. Radhika is shattered and heart-broken but decides to sacrifice Dev for his own welfare. However, when Dadajee announces the wedding of Dev and Radhika being cancelled, Dev doesn't take it easily. He questions Dadajee on why he is taking such a harsh decision'''and when he doesn't get answers from Dadajee, he lands up at Radhika's place. At Mansaram's house, Mansaram and Chenu are shocked to learn about Radhika's decision as well. He asks Radhika to go and have a talk with Dev before taking any huge decision about their marriage as Dev is equally involved in this. Dev and Radhika reach a temple, and he pleads her to reason her action. She tries making him understand that her presence in his life can deter his possibilities of becoming a good RP. Dev avers that in such case he can leave up RPship but not her companionship. Radhika is overwhelmed but she doesn't get carried away, rather remains stern with her decision and gives away the engagement ring. Dev is shattered and comes home, completely lifeless. Padma and Barkha try reasoning with Dadajee and Radhika respectively, but it goes in vain as they both stand strong in their views.

Dadajee starts searching for girls, the next day itself. His actions are disapproved by Padma, but he remains adamant''..and ends up proposing Barkha and Dev's marriage. Everyone is shocked by Dadajee's proposal. However, Barkha's acceptance to this marriage leaves everyone flummoxed and Dev, angry! Dadajee asks Barkha to call over her mother to talk about the rest of the things. Barkha's mother is happy to hear that her daughter would get married to the future RP. On Barkha's insistence, her mother requests Dadajee to let Mansaram do Barkha's kanyadaan because Barkha's father isn't alive. Dadajee agrees for the same and asks Padma to ask Mansaram about the same.

Meanwhile Dev lands up in Rawal and takes Radhika to the MansaDevi temple (the same one where they had tied a cloth after their marriage in childhood). He starts reminding her about their childhood marriage and asks if she would forget that marriage and give him to someone else? Radhika tries remaining strong and tells him that she can. Dev feels angry and asks her to untie the cloth that they'd tied together in the tree, if she doesn't consider the childhood marriage as true. Radhika in an effort to prove him that she indeed wants him to get married somewhere else, goes on to untie the cloth. However she is unsuccessful, much to her chagrin and Dev's happiness; it boosts his confidence that he can convince Radhika to leave up her stubbornness. In her confused and sad state, while returning back, Radhika meets Barkha and learns about Dev-Barkha's marriage proposal. It pains her but she swallows her pain and agrees to Barkha's condition of having Mansaram do the kanyadaan. Mansaram, however, denies expectedly but then agrees reluctantly when Radhika gives him promise.

Soon the marriage preparations start in both houses and Mehendi day comes up. Padma and Daima try convincing and consoling Dev, but he doesn't relent in and touches the Shagun Mehendi bowl, meant for the bride-to-be, with much reluctance. Radhika comes over to Barkha's house for the festivities and sits down to mix the mehendi'''when the Shagun Mehendi, meant to be put first on the Bride's hand, falls on her hand because of Barkha's carelessness. Barkha pretends to have done it unknowingly and lets the matter rest. Similarly during the Haldi ceremony, the Shagun Haldi falls on Radhika, as a part of Barkha's plan. Radhika smells something and enquires Barkha about her over-carelessness. Barkha points out that these things are happening because her Kanha wants it to be so. Radhika is left confused. The arrangements for Janmashtami festival start in RP bhavan and DDjee wishes to have Radhika, her family for this occasion as well. Radhika agrees for this reluctantly and reaches the RP bhavan where Dev tells her confidently that no matter what happens, he will only marry her and not some other woman!

The marriage day which also coincides with the sacred occasion of 'Lord Krishna's Birth', comes up. While everyone is busy preparing for the marriage, Barkha is busy hatching a plot so that Dev and Radhika get married. She quietly goes to Dadajee and tells him that Radhika has decided to get married somewhere else so that Dev can forget her and lead his new life easily. Dadajee is happy hearing this and asks Barkha to bring Radhika so as to give her blessings. Barkha then goes to Radhika and lies to her that Dev has disclosed their childhood marriage to Dadajee and that the Mahants present there had opined that in such a circumstance Dev should only marry Radhika, because they'd got married on a very sacred date''..and if they don't get married to each other, it would be considered a sin. Thus Dadajee has agreed for their marriage. Radhika feels joyous on hearing this and she takes Dadajee's blessings. Barkha makes sure that Dadajee doesn't utter anything that would ruin her plan. Barkha then goes to Dev and informs him that Dadajee has agreed for his and Radhika's marriage because he realized his mistake. Dev too is on cloud nine and thanks Barkha for giving the information. Now Barkha carries out her plan furtively, keeping Radhika under the veil and sending to the mandap. Maheshwari however catches Barkha's plan but Barkha ties her up in a chair and locks her inside the store room. The marriage ceremony happens with much pomp and revelry, Mansaram does the Kanyadaan reluctantly and then leaves the venue before Bidaai. Barkha sees to it that Radhika's bidaai happens without any mess. Radhika misses Mansaram during the Bidaai and with a heavy heart she goes along with her new family to Purohit House. After the Gruhpravesh and some games, Dev and Radhika get to spend some lone moments in the comfort of their room. They keep talking for sometime and then sleep in each other's arms happily.

Meanwhile back in Barkha's house, her mother gets a shock on seeing Barkha. She enquires about this to Barkha, who inturn tells about her plan of bride swapping which leaves her mother stumped!

Next Day, Dev and Radhika are called upon for the muh-dikhayi ritual where the entire Purohit Family is shocked to see Radhika under the veil. They all start accusing Radhika of playing with their emotions and getting married to Dev. A puzzled Dev and Radhika try to understand the situation and slowly it trickles inside their brains that Barkha had tricked them! They try making the Family Members understand that it was Barkha's plan, but members, including Dadajee keep taunting Radhika of being selfish. Unable to tolerate his newly wedded wife's tears, Dev defends her vehemently and asks everyone to not blame his wife! Seeing this, Dadajee suffers a heart attack. Radhika feels guilty for this condition of DDjee and the family member's taunts only aggravate her situation. Dev keeps defending her but in vain. Barkha too lands up in Purohit house after getting to know Dadajee's health and tells everyone the truth, which earns her a slap from Radhika!

Radhika's prayers are answered when Dadajee regains consciousness after long time. He requests to have a chat with Radhika and Barkha in privacy. During this conversation, he tries brain-washing Radhika in to sacrificing her relation with Dev for the sake of preserving Dharm and Family Honor'..and also asks Barkha to marry Dev. Radhika agrees painfully, feeling guilty for Dadajee's health. Barkha tries protesting but it goes in vain. Feeling relieved, Dadajee comes out in to announce to family members that Dev and Barkha shall have to get married right now before the official muh-dikhayi ceremony. However, Barkha protests firmly and Dev puts his foot down adamantly saying he won't marry again. Dadajee tries persuading Dev, but Dev doesn't relent a bit and announces that if he has to choose between RPship and Radhika, he would prefer staying with his wife'''..and if Radhika has to leave the house, he too would leave this house and RPship! This leaves everyone stumped. Radhika comes ahead to make him understand the repercussions of his actions and that he should not come along with her, rather should stay back to follow his RP duties. Dev doesn't relent yet. Radhika affirms her decision to leave the house and rushes to pick her stuff from room. Following her, he tries reminding her of the sacred relation ' marriage, they are bonded in to and that she cannot leave him like this. His love chains Radhika's feet but she doesn't let herself get shackled in to this and runs down with Dev following her. They both bump in to Mansaram, and are stunned. On the other hand, Mansaram is puzzled to see Barkha in simple clothes, while Radhika was in full suhagan shringar and Dev was with her.

The episode that won with maximum votes was the one which showed Radhika's gruhpravesh, RaDev playing games and then RaDev spending night together. Indeed the episode was a relief after the dramatic wedding sequence and'..oh, well we all knew what would happen when the veil gets lifted the next day and the truth comes out, so this episode was like a respite before the drama began the next day again. Just like the newly married couple, we too forgot all the lies and the consequences that they may have to face ahead, and enjoyed this beautiful episode with them. From the beautiful gruhpravesh, to RaDev standing in front of the Lord and thanking him for giving the best gift of their life ' being with each other''..to the ring searching games and then finally the wonderful night spent in each others arms. The episode was just too''..lovely!!!

Another episode that won along with the above mentioned, was the one wherein Dev stands strong against DDjee's pressure to get married to Barkha and requests everyone to give him a chance to prove himself in both roles as husband and an RP! It was an absolute delight to watch Dev being so strong like this, in the episode. Despite everyone giving their reasons as to why Dev should marry Barkha, including Radhika, Dev didn't budge from his stand and kept requesting DDjee to give him a chance. He didn't want to disappoint his DDjee, but how was he supposed to leave his newly-wedded wife? The poised manner, in which he kept his dilemma in front of DDJee, was applause worthy. He didn't get angry rather sat down, took DDjee's hand and asked him calmly as to would it be right if he left his wife for the sake RP? What would happen to his wife? Has anyone thought about it? Good lines and wonderful acting by Avinash again, which was ably supported by Rakesh Pandey as DDjee and Rubina as Rads.

This one had to be the worst episode for sure! Wondering which one I am talking about? This episode won with the max votes. It is the one in which DDjee asks Rads to sacrifice Dev in the name of 'dharam'. The old chap very cleverly requests to speak lonely with Radhika and Barkha, sending out everyone else including Dev. Following which, he speaks very nicely and brain-washes Radhika in to accepting that indeed, she had done mistake by marrying Dev and would have to repent for it by sacrificing Dev, so that Dev can become an RP! He brainwashes her to such an extent that she gets ready to have Dev married to Barkha!! In the name of "Dharam" the old chap only wanted to preserve his "Family Honor" just as he had did previously with Hari. He wanted Hari to give up Chaya because he wanted to preserve the "Family Honor" However, what enraged us all was his repeated usage of the word "dharma" while actually committing a SIN, that made poor Rads feel guilty and she too became a player in this game unknowingly!!

The scene which got voted the best received loads of accolades when it was telecasted''. and the one I am talking is'...Dev reciting the marriage vows to Radhika in their room, when the latter was adamant on leaving him for the sake of 'DDjee's version of Dharm" and RPship! He follows her in the room and starts chanting the mantra, all the while gazing in to her eyes piercingly. Radhika's feet began moving back as she looked in to his determined eyes that were hell bent on stopping her! By reciting the vows, Dev wanted her to remind her that they were bonded together in the sacred relation of marriage''.that they are married!! They weren't playing a game which she can quit easily and move away. She was his life and he cannot give up on his life! A wonderful scene, well directed and most importantly well-enacted by the actors!! Avinash's voice modulation was perfect''so was his expressions of anger towards Rads because she was leaving her soul-mate so easily! Rubina too was great in portraying the helpless damsel, who was in a quandary after seeing her husband coming towards her with such determination ' deep inside her sub-conscious she knew her step was wrong, but DDjee's emotional talks had led her to believe that leaving Dev was the best option for him! But Dev was not the one to give up ' or rather he didn't have the option of giving up Rads. He also gets angry at her for not thinking rationally and taking decision based on other people's thinking''..? Yes, the question had been befuddling everyone as to why she is taking decisions like this. DDjee said don't marry Dev, she refused. Barkha said marry Dev, she agreed. And now, DDjee said, leave Dev and she is ready for that as well! Dev was bubbling with anger and that was expected out of him!

The Worst Scene comes from the very Episode that was judged the Worst Episode. Yes, the scene where DDJee tries convincing very deftly to a already broken Radhika that its best for Dev and his family, if Radhika leaves them. Arrgh! Poor Radhika, was already under so much guilt and on top of it, this old man began on his version of dharma, where anything that protects his family honor is dharm''.and she got ready to sacrifice the only man she had loved in her entire life 😭

So which was the scene that tickled your funny bone the most? The scene that got maximum votes was the one where Maheshwari eats from servant's plate unknowingly and then spitting the food on floor as soon as realization struck her! Hehe. Truly hilarious scene! The lady was already miffed with the circumstances as she is forced to live as a servant, on top of it Mohini was taking Virat away from her slowly and amidst all this, she unknowingly eats from the servant's plate!! Heheheh''..its a scene that evokes spontaneous laughter in you.

The dhamakedaar''.dialogue of the Edition is'''.well, are 2 dialogues, both spoken by our very own Dev Babu :D Since Dev was in full force during the month of August and was standing strong like a rock despite all adversaries''.both these lines got much appreciation.

Dev to the PF: "Mere liye jyada zaroori yeh hai ki mera Dharma, meri Astha, mera Vishwas mujhse kya keh raha hai.

Kudos to Dev for standing strong on what he thought was right! He didn't let his emotiona sway and neither did he believe in DDjee's version of dharma, rather remained firm on what he believed to be right! Very well done Dev! I myself clapped in front of my TV, when I watched this scene. Wish they had kept Dev strong like this 😭

Dev to DDg: "Koi avashaktha nahi hai, kisi insaan ki shareer se uski aathma cheenli ja rahi hai aur usse karan janne ki koi avashktha nahi hai"
Another mind blowing dialogue from Dev Babu to his DDjee!! This was quite expected, and am sure everyone just wanted Dev to react fiercely after the cruel DDjee just went about announcing his sermon that RaDev marriage has been canceled! On top of it, DDJee even stops Dev from knowing the entire truth, stops him from going to Radhika'..by saying that he doesn't need to know the reason why this marriage has been cancelled off! Dev doesn't? How? And Dev gave a befitting reply to DDjee, that silenced the Old Man's arguments! Very well Done Dev!!

This edition's OMG Moment was when Barkha held her hand forward and got the sindoor packet which was supposed to be for Radhika. The priest said this sindoor packet was considered auspicious for married woman. This scene was shocking to me because it brought my attention to Barkha's character in which we see today. Barkha's character was positive at first but as soon as Daidiji said that Barkha can you marry Dev because Radhika's character was questioned by a public man. Barkha said yes and then this scene provided a hint that Barkha is negative. Ohhh My Gosh, who knew that Barkha was negative' Some of the members here thought she was positive and some thought she was negative. The fact that this scene shocked me was because how can Krishna let Radhika not get that sindoor packet as it is meant for Radhika. I couldn't belive my eyes when Radhika didn't get her right. This was the first right which was taken away from her' as we can see today. I can't understand how Barkha was negative all along, and Radhika sacrificing' her face was so upset when she didn't get the sindoor packet. I felt her feelings through my soul. How did you guys feel?

The first scene that we see under this section is the one where Dev is standing near the window and remembering his biological mother, Chaya. He tells Daima that he'd never thought about his real parents because he didn't know who they were. But now that he knows his father, his heart was aching to see his mother's face as well. He wondered aloud as to how painful it must have been for his mother to give him up away. She'd already sacrificed her husband and then her baby? He asks as to didn't his mother ever wish to see him, or try to know about how he is doing?

A very poignant scene indeed. Dev had always ached for a motherly love ' a love that is pure in every sense, because he never got one in this house. Earlier, when he was in a quandary whether to sacrifice Radhika for the sake of family's welfare or not, he'd cried for his mother, had wanted to hug his mother and cry because he was shattering from inside. Even now, his heart pines for a mother, who would hug him and comfort him, say to him that things would go fine because she is there to set things right for him. Alas, he never got any such pure love from anyone in this family.

The next scene is the one where Shanti is again taunting and accusing Radhika for being a burden on their head, and how her presence in the house was the talk of the village. Radhika runs inside, feeling hurt by Shanti's words. Shanti doesn't stop and keep abusing Radhika when Dev steps inside and avers firmly that he would soon take away his bride from their place. On hearing his voice, Radhika peeps in from behind the door and smiles sadly, feeling happy that Dev came to defend her.

A sweet, heart touching scene wherein Radhika is joyous because finally her KK ' Dev, has become her voice in front of the society and is defending her openly.

What happens when someone beseeches in front of you to sacrifice your life, your soul? What happens when you're asked to stop living when there is still life left inside your body? Worse, what happens when you know you just can't deny it and will have to do it!

Dadajee put Radhika in such circumstance when he pleaded to Radhika very cunningly to sacrifice Dev and their relation in the name of dharm and preserving RPship. Radhika felt the earth sliding beneath her feet on hearing such a request from Dadajee! He was asking her to sacrifice the person who was the sole reason for her existence'''..the person who resided in every breath of her's, in every pore of her skin, in every single heartbeat of hers! It was impossible for her to give away Dev when she had finally got him. But Dadajee's usage of words puts her in a dilemma. Her presence might hamper Dev's chances of becoming a RP, his chance of getting the recognition in the society which he never got. She knew that although he never wished to become the RP, it had pained him when people brushed him off as a mere servant. How can she deter her own husband's success, how can she come in his path to recognition? How can she let the RPship fall apart because Dev was the only person in Purohit House, who can carefully preserve the RPship? The questions befuddled her mind. However, she took her decision and with a dignified, strong voice took the decision that Dadajee wanted to hear. She didn't waver, didn't let her voice shiver when she affirmed her decision in front of Dadajee, but inside she was breaking apart in to thousand pieces. Dadajee kept his hand over her head to give blessings, but she turned her head away, as if saying that although she has taken the decision, it has hurt her! And then, as soon as Dadajee left, her hidden tears began trickling down and she began shattering down. Her gaze remained stuck to the Lord's idol as if questioning him''.why was she being subjected to this torture? It was after so much pain, she was getting her KK back, and again she has to let him go off? Why?

Excellent acting by Rubina!! She literally made me cry''..on top of it I was watching her perform with parted lips. The lady did excellent job!!

Preet pritam ki galyeeyo main jaye ya rasmo ke kasme nibhaye

Kaisi uljhan main dala re Kanha ki kit jau samajh main na aaye

Bin tere is birhan ko dard na jane koyee

If sacrificing someone precious to your heart is difficult, it is even harder to make that person agree to walk away from you, especially if the person loves you more than anything else. Radhika had to face the same predicament when she had to make Dev understand the circumstances under which she agreed to sacrifice their relation. She had with much difficulty promised Dadajee that she would step back from this relation. But Dev wasn't ready to give up this relation. This was putting her in a tight spot. It was already painful for her to deal with her own agonies but now she has another task in front of her which was even more agonizing. She tries citing examples to prove him that how important it is for an RP to preserve dharm, family honor and how her presence might hamper his chances of becoming a RP, how presence might shatter Dadajee's dreams. However Dev stands firm on his decision and declares that if he has to choose between RP and her, he would definitely choose her and leave Rpship. Radhika is overwhelmed to listen this ' her Dev was even ready to give up RPship to be with her; she was really very fortunate to have such a husband. But then reality crashes in her face making her realize as to how unfortunate she is. Despite having such a loving husband who is ready to give up all the riches of the world for her sake, she cannot have him'''..she cannot marry him in front of the society! Swallowing her pain, she uses harsh words to make him understand. Calls him selfish and how he was doing adharm by breaking everyone's dreams. Dev falls silent and slowly in a pained voice asks her as to why was she doing this? Why is she breaking his heart so ruthlessly? She keeps her voice firm and says she can't be so selfish and starts taking off her engagement ring. Dev keeps on staring in anguish as she finds it difficult to remove the ring; it seemed like every second his heart was splintering apart. Finally she manages to remove her ring and holding up his hand, she places the ring on his palm while he stares lifelessly at her.

A shattered heart is lifeless! So was Dev when Radhika returned the engagement ring to him, breaking all ties with him. He went mute, lifeless and sat quietly in the dark room of his, clutching her ring in his hand and remembering her harsh words. Dev found the pain growing inside him unbearable. After so many hurdles, he was finally getting to accept his Radhika in front of the world, was able to love her so much, was getting someone's pure unconditional love''..but even that was being snatched away from him! He never wanted RPship, never wanted to be a leader or never had any greed for money, fame. All he ever wanted was someone's true and unconditional love that he got from Radhika. But now he was getting everything he never wanted''..but at the cost of giving up the most precious relation of his life!? With a broken heart, Dev wept silently wondering as to why life was making things so difficult for him.

Must say, Awesome acting by Avinash. He didn't have a single dialogue in this part but yet managed to convey his pain through his tear-laden eyes. Great Job!

The next scene is the conversation between Dev and Padma, when the latter comes in to console him and informs of Mansaram doing the Kanyadaan, at Radhika's behest. Dev feels his heart weeping on hearing this as he knows that Radhika would be in immense pain after doing this task! Padma says that Dev must learn to compromise because probably this is how things are meant to be. Dev's hidden pain bursts out and he asks Padma, does everyone consider him a machine or a Mahaan insaan (Noble man) that they are expecting him to sacrifice endlessly? He tells in a lowered, pained voice that he is not a Great Soul, but just a mere human being who feels pain when hurt.

Everyone out there is expecting him to sacrifice Radhika for the sake of greater good (Society and RPiti) but what about his own heart who keeps aching for his love? He is not selfish but a mere mortal who does feel pain on being hurt, when something close to him is supposed to be lost forever. He is not a machine, who can be remote controlled heartlessly and can be made to do whatever others want. Rather he is a breathing person, who has a heart inside him. Why doesn't anyone understand this? He is feeling alone because there is no one to understand his pain. Not even Radhika. Even she is asking him to sacrifice and so is his family. He doesn't want to go against anyone, but how can he survive without Radhika? He further goes on to tell Padma, that it is Radhika who is a noble soul who decided to let her father do the Kanyadaan of some other girl to Dev, the same man Radhika wanted to marry. Taking a deep determined breath, Dev avows that he won't sit quiet and will keep trying. Nice acting by Avinash. His anger was restrained showing Dev's pain, anguish and anger at the circumstances at the same instance.

Sometimes we decide to give something away''''but when the point comes to actually sacrifice it, the pain is indeed unbearable. Radhika, under the pressure of DDjee's words, decided to sacrifice Dev and even Dev's tears couldn't change her mind. However, during Barkha's mehendi ceremony, Shanti in her usual taunting manner asked Radhika to write 'Dev' name on Barkha's palms''..and Radhika realized that it may not be that easy as it seemed to her earlier. She wanted to write the name'''.but her heart didn't allow her ' it kept stating that it should be her palms where Dev's name should be written beautifully and not on some other woman's palm. She was Dev's wife! How can she write her own husband's name in some other woman's palm? Her fingers shivered, eyes welled up as the pain inside her became excruciating. She didn't give up, kept trying and trying '''.until she knew that she cannot do it. Then making up an excuse she got up.

A small but poignant scene that brought tears to many people's eyes! Radhika knew it from inside that giving up Dev, the man whom she waited for so many years to accept her, was never going to be easy'''..but it was impossible for her

Bidaai is a very difficult moment for everyone ' for the girl and for her family members as well. It's a very tough moment where the joy of going with your beloved is there''..but along with it is the painful separation from your parents. In this moment, the bride doesn't want to leave her parents ''.but her heart aches to go along with her beloved husband. Her mind gets confounded as to which route is she supposed to take? However in all this, if her parents aren't there to wish her away''..how would she feel? Her last moment with her parents as a daughter and her parents aren't there to send her off''.how would she feel? Radhika faced the situation during her Bidaai''.when Mansaram was sent off by Barkha smartly. Mansaram was the only man, apart from Dev, who loved Radhika from the core of his heart. He stood beside her for 12 years waiting for her KK, he protected his little Radhika from his evil wife's taunts and from other bad things. He worked hard to give her education and despite being from a poor, schedule cast family, he made sure that Rads gets all her Brahmin values intact. He was the most closest to Radhika's heart, which pined badly for Mansaram during this ritual. Radhika ached to see him once, wanted to hug him once'''but alas she couldn't. Throughout the ritual, Radhika's mind kept reminiscing those lovely moments she'd shared with her father since childhood''..and her eyes kept crying.

The bidaai scene was one of the best bidaai scenes I have ever seen in Television. Although every other serial does show Bidaai scene with loads of crying and all''..but very few manage to touch your heart. This one did touch my heart a lot. It was not the usual girl clinging to her parents, family and crying'''.but a scene where the girl ached to hug her father just once, but couldn't!! Very nice performance by Rubi 👏

The final scene in this section is a very small segment of a scene, but very poignant. This one's from the moment where DDjee falls sick and Rads is crying in the temple, praying for him to get well. Dev comes and the moment she sees her husband, she hugs him like a little kid who is seeking assurance from her parents, whether things will be fine? Dev hugs her back warmly and assures her warmly that, since she has prayed to her Kanha, the Lord will set things right. After the entire family attacking her verbally, accusing her for DDjee's sickness, Radhika was shattered completely and needed someone's hug ' an assurance. The only person she can look up to during this time was her husband, Dev''..whom she loved more than anything else. Well directed Scene

Best Actor:

Avinash Sachdev

Avinash wins this hand down for the amazing portrayal of Dev. Avinash got to portray a wide range of scenes this month and as always he enacted them with perfection! His acting and expressions were top notch in every scene may it be a romantic one, a enraged one, breaking down scene or the scene where he stood strong against every PF member for the sake of Radhika!

Rakesh Pandey

Although we all hated DDjee in this month, yet, Rakesh Pandey the veteran actor did complete justice to his role. From a paralytic man, who had difficulty in speaking……to the cunning RP who was more interested in saving the family honor than his own grandson's heart……..to the shrewd DDjee who brainwashed Radhika in to believing that her sacrificing Dev would be the best for the latter. Amazing job by the actor with brilliant expressions! If we hated DDjee, the major credit for that goes to this man!

Best Actress

Rubina Dilaik:

Rubina too got a varied range to portray during this month. From the most happiest in the world, Radhika was brought down in to shreds……..then her dilemma on how to let Dev go when he, himself was pining for her…….then her happiness on getting married to him…..but then feeling shattered on realizing the truth and finally the guilt ridden Radhika. Rubina did it all perfectly. Kudos to her.

Sushmita Daan

Sushmita as Padma shone in this month by portraying the confused side of the character. The character though wanted to stand along with Dev and his right decisions, but couldn't because of her own insecurities. Sushmita portrayed the finer emotions of such a character very delicately

Best Male Character
Dev

Who else but Dev………for standing strong like a rock on what he believed was right. He didn't let himself sway to DDjee's words and stood firm on his beliefs and avowed that come what may he won't leave his wife!

Mansaram

He is Radhika's sole supporter apart from Dev and is the one to guide Radhika in situations where she drifts away. This character surely shone in the month of August where Mansaram stood by Radhika strongly. Mansaram was the happiest when he came to know that Dev is his daughters' KK…..and didn't let his daughter's happiness be taken away by his wife. He stood like a shield in front of his daughter protecting her from Shanti's cruel words……and also made sure everything went well. He was aghast to know that Radhika was sacrificing Dev and guided her that she shouldn't take such decisions all alone as Dev was equally involved. His pain when his daughter wasn't getting something that was rightfully her's……..his anguish in having to do the kanyadaan of some other girl when his own daughter was in pain……..and finally his joyousness after realizing that it was indeed Radhika who got married to her Dev…….was all heart touching!!

Best Female

Radhika:

Radhika was happiest in the start of the month…….but by the end, she was broken completely being pressed under the heavy guilt. Although her sacrifices didn't make sense to us……….but for her, she did have some meaning to them. She wanted to sacrifice Dev at first because she wanted him to get those rights from which he'd been always deprived. She knew that it hurt him to be called a servant……and finally he was getting to be the RP! Which wife wouldn't want her husband to get status and respect in society? Every woman keeps her husband ahead of her, and feels respected when her husband gets the social respect. Radhika too wanted the same. Was she that wrong? Not really. Instead it requires lots of strength and grit to sacrifice your beloved husband for the sake of his happiness.

Padma

The only character who was wishing to support RaDev during their tough time was Padma. Due to her insecurity and weakness, she could never vocalize her feelings…….but she was along with them. She was the first one to point it out to DDjee that he was letting history repeat by not letting Dev and Radhika getting married……just for the sake of society. She was the one who repeatedly told DDjee that they should wait……and shouldn't rush with proposals thereby indirectly giving time for Dev to think. Even after the marriage, she was the only one who didn't point fingers at Radhika like others, rather she had the expressions of compassion…….she empathized with Radhika and her situation.

Any guesses as to who would be the Menace of this Edition? You need any clues? I don't think so.

Because this honor shall easily go to Dadajee!!!

Yes, the man whom we sympathized until previous month for being bed-ridden for no fault of his…….became the object of our ire this month! The cunning DDJee so deftly and smartly manipulated Radhika in to sacrificing Dev, never thinking about the poor girl's condition, so that his own family's honor and his prestige in front of the society remains intact! And this torment on Radhika was done repeatedly by this Man!! Jai Ho Dadajee ki!!

Well the month of August had its share of sweet and bitter moments. In terms of romance as well as acting this month was very, very good! The first part of the month was all lovey-dovey and filled with cute moments between RaDev whereas the latter half of the month showed their pain……their union despite all odds…….then again the consequences of lies told by Barkha. All in all, the month was nice. Loved it for its Romantic sequences, for the lovely performances and for the sagai/shaadi scenes!

Rating: 8/10. (2 points are being cut for showing 'Adharm' as 'Dharm')

Every scene where Radhika and Dev are together becomes automatically the most beautiful scene for us *blushes*. Hai na?

But which is the best? Scroll down to find :)

The Best RaDev scene for this Edition is……….the Flute Scene played on the Janmashtami. Dev takes the flute with a heavy heart, that was pining for its beloved Radhika, and touches the flute to his lips so as to let a beautiful tune come out. On the other hand, the moment Radhika's ears catch the tune flowing in, she couldn't remain in her place – as if the tune coming from Dev's flute was attracting her with some invisible force! Her heart was as if beseeching to go to her lover who was calling for her……..and she couldn't stop herself either. Unable to rein in her desire, Radhika walks in a daze and pauses in front of Dev who was playing his flute melodiously. This scene was so ethereal that it cannot be just described in words – it easily reminded us of Lord Krishna and his Radharani. When Lord Krishna plays his flute, Radharani cannot stop herself from going to him. She would automatically forget every other thing and let her feet run towards her love, her Kanha. Simiarly, Radhika couldn't stop herself from going to her Dev, when he played the flute. Lovely, absolutely lovely scene and AviNa's acting gave essence to it.

The second RaDev scene that gets to be honored this time is the RaDev conversation scene in the terrace during janmashtami where she ties a thread around his wrist. Dev comes up after hurting his hand – he burnt his palm by keeping it above the flame, and Rads invariably follows him out of concern. She ties a thread around his wrist so as to protect him from any untoward danger especially after his accident she was wary. Seeing this, Dev smiles as it only went on to prove how much she loved him. Radhika asks him to stop doing all this and Dev calmly replies that even if he stopped doing all this, yet, she would surely be his because he has wished for her from the bottom of his heart and the Lord shall have to bow down in front of his love.

The third scene coming in to this list………..well, how can I not add this scene…….hehe…….. this was the most beautiful and most enchanting RaDev scenes of all. The scene which I am describing is the night that RaDev spent together after marriage in their room. Haaye! Kya Scene tha! Dev coming in to lift her ghungat…….slipping her engagement ring back to its place……..slowly removing her ornaments teasing her all the way ;)……..and then was about to…….ahem……kiss…...but got stopped by Rads who instead wished to have a cozy night in her husband's arms. He relented obviously like our sweet Dev ;) After lighting up diyas, RaDev sat together and began talking. The scene felt so beautiful because RaDev were sitting so close and comfortably……..being in their own world. Then, the cute scene where Rads falls asleep and seeing this, Dev also keeps his head over her's and goes to sleep. Awww!!! Cute.

Coffee shop

By Sia

Radhika stepped out of the main building of her office with a frown in her face. The day had been particularly bad for her. First her sheets got deleted from the PC due to a virus attack and then her Boss scolded her for being irresponsible. And now it was raining so hard that it was impossible to get an auto or taxi back home. This was frustrating to the core!

Sighing, she let her feet move towards her favorite spot on such pathetic days or rather on any day – the sleek coffee shop opposite her Office Building. She had to catch her umbrella tight so that it doesn't fly away in the strong breeze, leaving her to get wet in this climate. Somehow she managed to cross the road clutching all her belongings tight, entered the tranquil coffee shop, placed her umbrella on the bucket near the door and quickly sat on her favorite seat beside the window lest anyone else occupied it. Thankfully her seat was still left empty, although the entire caf was filled with couples looking in to each other's eyes with oodles of love – ofcourse the rain and steaming hot coffee was a perfect setting for a romantic evening.

"Irresponsible?" Radhika muttered angrily, running a hand through her open silky hairs to brush off the water drops from the tips. She was being labeled as irresponsible after working so hard for this company? Such thankless people! But what can she do???

Suddenly her stomach grumbled again reminding her how hungry she was! One more thing to add up her frustration – she hated being hungry. Turning her head, she quickly called a waiter and ordered for her favorite combination of coffee and hot toast sandwiches. As the waiter nodded and went away, she turned her gaze outside to the beautiful greenery mixed with droplets of rain; this seemed to be act as an ointment for her wounded heart.

She had completely lost track of time, being lost in the scenery outside……until a sudden thudding sound somewhere very close by brought her back. Shuddering slightly, she jerked her head only to find a man sitting opposite her and flashed a smile at her when she looked at him.

"Hi" he said, grinning.

Radhika blinked silently – his smile had something in it. But she quickly brushed away that thought and let the more reasonable thought circle her brain. Who was he?

"Hi" the man said when she didn't respond.

She frowned. "Do I know you?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. Probably you don't"

"Then why are you sitting here?" she asked.

His smile vanished. "Well this is a coffee shop and I can sit anywhere I wish to"

"Why here then?" she asked tersely. Already her insides were boiling because of the incidents in office and on top of it, this man was irritating her. Why can't she have some lone peaceful moments?

"Because the Caf is full, barring this seat"

She looked around and found the entire caf to be teeming with people, entirely full. "Oh"

"I hope you are fine with me sitting here" he said.

No, she was not fine! But she couldn't be so indecent and thus gave a tight nod. "Yes"

This made him grin again. "Hi. I am Dev"

Why did his grin have such a stupid effect on her…….that she felt butterflies flying in her stomach? Probably it's her stomach's signal of being hungry and nothing more. Blinking once blankly, she turned her face away without introducing herself to this extra-friendly stranger.

When she didn't respond, he just shrugged and looked outside at the scenery.

"Lovely Climate isn't it?" he said, disrupting her peace again.

She heard him, but didn't bother to look at him assuming he would understand that she was least interested in striking a conversation with some stranger.

"Seems you're not interested in talking?" he said.

This made her sigh, feeling annoyed. Why can't he just buzz off!

"No I am not" she replied, turning to look at him briefly and then turned her attention back to the scenery, with her chin on palm.

"Why not? I mean doesn't it get boring to sit all alone without having a company to talk? We both are alone…..so why can't we talk to kill the boredom……just a matter of few minutes" he said.

She sighed sharply and looked at him. "Look whoever you are……I don't talk to strangers"

He grinned again – the same grin that made butterflies rumble in her stomach.

"Oh that's the reason? If we don't talk, we can't get to know each other……and would remain strangers always. Better to start talking……." He said. "So where do you stay? Nearby?"

Her brows arched noticing the pace at which he wanted to befriend her. Why was he so interested in talking to her? Lewd man!

Controlling her anger, she looked away towards the rain again not wanting to lash out at him.

"What happened? Did I say something wrong?" he asked quickly.

She turned her face to him. "See I am not interested in talking to you. Did you get it? You wanted a seat. You got it……then have your food and leave!"

"Excuse me? Why are you getting angry? Beautiful girls don't look good when they are angry" he smiled.

This made her scowl – ofcourse he was hitting on her. What does he think, just because he is totally handsome with attractive eyes and such a charming smile, he can win over her? How stupid of him to think like that, she wondered.

"Remain in your limits" she showed an index finger.

"When did I cross them?" he chuckled.

Exhaling once to check her anger, she showed her palm "Look….."

"See I can't sit quiet like this……….I hate doing that"

She shrugged. "That's your problem. Deal with it!" she kept her voice terse but the volume was low.

He showed up his palms, gesturing her to be calm. "Okay……fine……"

Just then the waiter arrived with her order. She took a breath of relief; atleast her hunger will be quenched and then she can leave this Caf and this Man!

However, all her plans went for a toss the moment the waiter kept the plate of sandwiches on the table.

"Wow! Hot Sandwiches……." Dev commented and quickly taking a piece from it began eating.

Radhika looked at him in total shock! This man was eating her sandwiches…….her sandwiches!! How cheap and rude of him!? Her stomach grumbled and twisted inside.

Dev noticed her expression and he gulped down the piece. "Oops. I am sorry. I…..I was really hungry actually……..so I just had it" he said, in an apologetic tone and glanced down at the plate briefly. "You can have the rest"

Radhika glanced down at the remaining piece of sandwich and then glowered at him. How dare he eat her sandwich? She was damn hungry and was only tolerating this lewd man for the sandwiches and he ate the half piece of it already!!!!! Arrgh.

"Ma'm can I get another sandwich for you?" the waiter asked quickly.

Dev too quickly agreed. "Yes. I can order another plate for you. You can have that"

"No. I am fine" she said, still glowering. Deep inside she wanted to scream out – why was God hell bent on ruining every moment of this day!

"See its my mistake. I can order another plate……or if you say….2 plates of sandwiches for you" Dev suggested sweetly.

She sighed to control the volcano erupting inside her. "I said, its fine. I am not hungry anymore. You can have the rest" replying in a no-nonsense tone, she sipped her coffee – atleast her headache would be soothed. Plus, now that her sandwich was already attacked, there was no reason for her to tolerate this man! She didn't have enough patience to wait for another sandwich and neither did she want to eat the sandwich touched by him. Better to have coffee and leave the place soon or else her head would burst out.

Dev shrugged and looked at the waiter. "One Coffee, One plate of Onion pakoras and one toast sandwich" he ordered.

Radhika looked up, glowering, when she heard him order a plate of toast sandwich – was he trying to ridicule her? First he had her sandwich, infact was eating the remaining piece of her sandwich shamelessly….and was ordering for another to put salt to her wounds???

After ordering, Dev looked at her. "By the way why are you so angry?" he asked, munching on the sandwich.

Shouldn't she be? She wondered. He was eating her sandwich so mercilessly when her stomach was rumbling inside so loudly.

"Didn't get over the scolding you got from your boss?" he asked assertively.

Her eyes went wide in astonishment – how did he know? Does he spy on her??

Seeing her wide eyes, he laughed. "What happened?"

"H…..how do you know that?" she asked, bewildered.

He shrugged casually. "I guessed. See there can be 2 reasons. Either your boyfriend dumped you or your boss scolded you. I chose the later one. Didn't think you would be having a boyfriend"

His trailing words enraged her to the extreme limits. What did he mean by saying that she wouldn't be having a boyfriend! Why can't she have one?

"Excuse me……what……." She had to stop when her phone started ringing and she glanced down at her purse.

"Someone seems to be remembering you. Probably your boss" he laughed.

She threw a sharp glance and quickly unzipped her purse. Rummaging through her girlie stuffs, she finally managed to pull out her phone and pressed it to her ear. "Yeah Mamma….I am coming home soon. Its raining I know but I shall manage. Bye" saying, she cut the phone and quickly put the phone inside. Some of her visiting cards that had come out of the purse when she'd pulled out her phone hastily, lay on the table; she quickly shoved them inside as well.

Enough of this man! She decided, letting the remaining coffee be, and was about to get up.

"Do you own a Scooty or Car?" Dev asked

Radhika glanced at him. "How is that your business?"

"No. Since its raining hard, you won't get any transportation. If you don't own any vehicle, I can drop you"

Her brows arched in bafflement. How far is this guy going to go? "No. Its not needed. I can help myself" she muttered angrily and got up from her seat and then moved towards the cash counter.

"What does he think……..i would swoon around him just because he is good looking? Shut up Radhika! He is a lewd man only interested in flirting! Just stop!" she rebuked herself mentally while paying the money.

As the cashier bent down to pick some change, she turned around casually and her gaze fell on Dev who was still sitting and having her sandwich happily. The moment he met her gaze, he showed up a piece of sandwich as if offering her. She felt her insides bursting in to angry flames – was he intending to make fun of her because she couldn't have those sandwiches??? Glowering at him, she turned her eyes, took the change and picking her umbrella left the caf quickly.

Clutching her umbrella tight, she outstretched her hand to stop a cab. But it went right past her, splashing some water on her jeans. She muttered some curse and began looking for another cab, however every single cab was full. Sighing, she turned her head back towards the caf and found Dev still seated and having his hot pakoras. Hadn't it been for this man, she would have been eating sandwiches sitting in that comfortable seat and not getting frustrated in the middle of road! Just then Dev saw her and again showed a piece of Pakora with a smile. Her teeth gritted in chagrin and she turned to move away from this place.

She kept walking for some minutes but not a single cabbie stopped by. Moreover her stomach was rumbling badly now. How she wished she could have had that Sandwiches. Pushing her hairs back, she forced her tired and soaked up legs to move again……when suddenly a strong breeze hauled away the umbrella from her hand and the umbrella just flew away, disappearing from her sight.

How much more unfortunate can this day get for her!!! She was on the verge of crying now. Her feet were aching, stomach was growling in hunger and head was aching like anything……on top of it, now she was getting wet entirely in the middle of the road!!! Covering her face with both hands, she tried not to cry and gulped the lump forming in her throat. She had to do something. Crying here was not going to reach her anywhere. So she decided to catch a bus instead of waiting for cabbies and autos. But the bus stand was far away from this place so thought of taking the short-cut route to reach the bus stand quickly. She turned towards the narrow lane to her right and began ambling across it.

She had barely walked a few steps when she noticed a few ruffians, standing on the side aimlessly, checking her out. She gulped in fear and adjusted her tunic. Her entire body was wet and her tunic was clinging to her body, easily revealing her curves. Why the hell didn't she carry a scarf or stole?? She hoped to quickly move ahead and get to the bus stand…….however misfortune seemed to be clinging badly to her today.

"Do you need help gorgeous?" one of the ruffian asked.

Radhika glanced at him briefly, clutching her Kanha pendant "No" and was about to move away.

But another ruffian stopped her way, whistling. "Why not? You're alone. We shall drop you. Come with us" he gave a sneering smile.

Can this day get this worse for her?? She gulped in shock, wondering what to do. Running away was the only option that came to her mind.

Suddenly –

"Radhika!!" a not-so familiar voice called her from behind and she turned…….only to find Dev. Strangely, she felt relief gushing through every vein of her's.

"What the hell is this Radhika? I agree we had a fight but that doesn't mean you leave your husband like this and walk away in the middle of the road. Fine, I admit, I was wrong. Happy! Now lets go. Come" Dev spoke with a serious yet concerned face.

Radhika blinked in astonishment wondering what was he speaking and why? Nothing made sense.

Ruffians gave Dev a very skeptical look.

"What? She is my wife. Stay off!" Dev warned in a grim, cold tone.

She frowned. Wife? But atleast the ruffian did seem to get scared.

"Come Radhika…….you're gonna catch cold like this!" saying, Dev held her wrist and took her along with him.

Her feet just moved behind him while her senses were still trying to make sense of what he said. Why did he call her, his wife? And…….how did he know her name??!

As soon as they stopped near his bike, she pulled away her hand from his grip. "What the hell is this??"

Dev glanced briefly at the goons who were still looking at them. "Look. If you don't want to get trapped by those goons, better come with me!" he muttered.

"Why? Are you any different from them?" she asked tersely.

He scowled. "How ungrateful……I saved you from them…..and you think I am like them?" he asked.

"Yes"

"Radhika. Stop being amateurish! You can fight later. Get on the bike first…..and wait…..wear this" he said and quickly unbuttoned his windcheater.

"How do you know my name?"

"Because you're my wife" mumbling, he put his sling strapped bag across her shoulder and then wrapped the windcheater around her. "Wear this quick"

"I don't need it" She crossed her arms.

"Stop being arrogant and wear it……..or else get raped by them!"

His harsh words made her glower at him.

He sighed. "Look those goons are still there, keeping a watch on us…..and the condition you are in, doesn't keep you safe"

She glanced down and realized how wet and clingy her tunic top was. Plus Dev was standing right in front of her. Automatically her fingers clutched the flaps of the windcheater and pulled it close.

"Good wear it quick and get on the bike" saying, he sat on the bike.

Wearing it reluctantly, she glanced back towards the narrow lane from the corner of her eyes only to find the goons still standing there. Probably Dev was right, they need to fleece away from this spot quick.

She turned her face to Dev and found him getting all wet in the rain. It pinched her to see him getting wet because she was using his protection.

"What? Adore me later…….get on the bike first" he said.

Nodding tight, she stepped up the bike and clutched the handle tight. Soon she was flying with the wind. She saw the rain drops dripping through his thick mane, then trickling through his shirt giving her an idea of how chiseled his body was. She shook her head, trying to shake off the thoughts that seemed to be creeping inside her……and thought about the rational question.

"How did you know my name?" she asked, as he paused near the signal.

"You're my wife"

"Stop joking. Tell me seriously do you spy on me??" she asked, irritated.

He laughed. "I have much better work than to spy on you madame!"

"Oh is it? Then how did you get to know my name?"

"Your visiting cards that came flying out of your purse when you were in the caf" he replied and started the bike again.

Her brows arched. "Oh"

"Oh yes! Imagine what would have been our plight hadn't I noticed your name. Wont those goons think why this husband doesn't know his wife's name" he laughed aloud.

His carefree, bubbling laughter that mixed with the cool breeze enlivened the butterflies in her stomach again.

"Where do you live?" he asked, glancing over his shoulder briefly.

"None of your business" she replied tersely, wondering why he was so nosy.

"It is my business. What do you think I will be giving you a free ride across the city for the entire night?" he asked.

She thinned her lips, feeling guilty. "Oh. You can drop me near the closest Cabbie stand. I will get down and catch a cab"

"There's a Cabbie Stand on the left but its entirely deserted. Do you want me to drop you there?" he asked.

Her eyes quickly scanned. "Yes it should be fine"

"What fine? You're gonna be stranded here the entire night because you wont get cabs until the rain subsides. Tell me, I will drop you"

Why was he so stubborn?? "Erm……"

"This bike shall stop only when I drop you in your address" he said in a firm voice.

She sighed in frustration and reluctantly gave him the address.

"Good. We will reach quickly. Don't worry" he smiled, glancing behind briefly.

Adjusting her hood, she looked away when suddenly the bike went through a pothole and her hands automatically flew across to hold him.

As soon as she realized this, she quickly pulled her hand back. "I…..I am sorry"

He chuckled. "Its okay if you hold me tight. I won't mind it"

She narrowed her eyes at this cheesy remark. "Stop being cheesy!"

"I am not. Seriously, look at the potholes ahead. You would need to hold me tight or else you would fall down" he warned.

"I am fine by myse.e…….." before she can complete the line, her bike jerked and her hands flew across to wrap around his chest. Her heart jumped inside in fear. She hated bike rides during rainy season especially on the pot-holed roads!!

He laughed again jubilantly. "I told you so. Now remain like this"

She didn't have an option and held him with much reluctance – it was such an awkward situation to hold a complete stranger so close…..and what was weird that there were again the butterflies in her stomach. Grrr.

"So why did your boss scold you?" he asked.

"Nothing big"

"I know. Bosses are mental. They usually scold people for every simple thing" he chuckled.

This made her smile unknowingly. Yes, Bosses were Mental, Mad! The thought gave her immense relief.

"You look good smiling" he commented.

She looked up. "How did you know I am smiling. Do you have eyes behind?"

"Probably Yes" he laughed again, stirring her heart all over.

"Look. I don't know what made your boss shout at you…..but remember one thing……doesn't matter what they do…….you have to stick by your perseverance and hardwork. Today your boss might shout at you…..tomorrow he should appreciate you. It's upon you how you take it……as a reason for depression…….or as a stimulus for performing better"

She blinked wondering how easily he said such an insightful thing.

"Also when your Boss screams at you…….take it for granted, he is removing the anger of his wife on you. Since his wife would have shouted on him and he can't shout back at her, he is screaming at you. Such kind of Loser he is!" he said.

This made her break in to peals of giggles. "Oh is it? How do you know that?"

"Personal Experience" he replied.

Suddenly something stabbed her gut hard.

After a moment "Oh. So what's your wife's name?" she asked, not knowing why she felt bad.

"Radhika"

"Seriously, your wife's name is Radhika?" she asked, amazed.

"Yes, she is currently sitting behind me, holding me tighter than needed" he replied with a straight face.

Hearing this, she loosened her arms and hit his chest.

"Oww!" he fake cried.

She bit her tongue realizing what she just did – he wasn't her friend or husband with whom she was behaving so freely. "I am sorry"

He laughed again. "But what made you presume I am married? Huh?"

"You said na……..personal experience"

"Personal Experience of handling bosses!" he clarified.

Now she strangely felt a sense of happiness inside her. "Oh"

Their random chatter continued and she came to know he worked in the building adjacent to her office and loves Onion Pakoras or toast sandwiches a lot on rainy days. A few minutes passed and then she asked him stop suddenly.

"What? Why do you want to get down here?" he asked, seeing her get down.

"Erm…..I don't want my neighbors to see you dropping me near the building. You know how nosy they are……they would make a mountain out of a molehill. By tomorrow, I would be almost married off" she giggled slightly.

He grinned. "You actually look good while smiling. Is your headache gone now?"

She stared at him. "How did you know I had headache?" Then she realized that her headache was gone miraculously.

"Your face reveals all" he smiled.

The charming smile again stirred her heart while his piercing, deep gaze made her knees feel weak. She forced herself to stand strong.

"Erm….Yes. Thanks for the lift…..and for…."

"Its fine" he said, twitching his lips.

She smiled and then realized how he was getting all wet. "Um…..just a second" she said and was about to pull out the windcheater, when he stopped her.

"Let it be. You would need it. You're really wet and your house is still away"

"But how would you manage?" she asked, feeling concerned.

"I am fine. I am used to it"

"Erm…..still……….I can't let you go like this" she mumbled, feeling very concerned.

"Okay……..in that case" he scanned around the area "I will buy a raincoat from that shop"

She glanced in the direction. "Okay I will pay for it"

"I am not gonna gift that to you" he replied quickly.

This made her giggle.

He gazed at her, adoringly. "Its fine. I do get paid nicely. I will manage. But you, forget about your boss okay"

She nodded – somehow she didn't want to remember her boss, but…..

"I will……erm……your bag"

"Yeah……..there's something for you inside. Take it carefully"

"For me?" she asked and opened his bag carefully to find a wrapped packet.

"Toast sandwich for you" he said.

She glanced up in surprise and wonderment.

"I am sorry I shouldn't have pounced upon your sandwich. You were really hungry……so I brought this for you. I know you can't bear to remain hungry" he mumbled, gazing deeply in to her eyes.

"H….How do you know so much?" she asked, feeling lost in his eyes.

"You may have never noticed me. But I have noticed you several times in that caf, sitting beside the window seat, always…….i have seen you being angry, frustrated, happy and sad"

It took her a moment to snap out of the trance that he drew her in to. She looked away quickly.

"So I was right. You were spying on me" she asked, narrowing her eyes. "All this was planned? Isnt it?"

"Excuse me? You come and sit in front of my eyes, how does make me the spy?" he argued. "And what did I plan? Asked the rain god to shower today? Or you mean I rented out people to fill the caf? or do you think I dug potholes in the road……or I asked the cabbie people to not take you? Or Did I rent those goons? Or I asked your boss to shout at you?"

This made her chuckle again. "No……."

"Then what?" he asked.

"Nothing. I think you should get a raincoat for yourself" she said.

"Okay I will. First you go towards your building"

"No. First you get a raincoat. If I go away, you won't buy it" she argued.

He leaned closer with his charming, crooked smile. "So concerned for me?"

Her lips parted, not knowing what to say. "Erm…..no. I didn't want to feel guilty over this issue. So please"

"Okay then…….Bye" he waved his hand, adjusted his bag and turned the bike towards the shop.

Radhika stood there staring at this stranger who had come to rescue her on such a misfortunate day and threw away all her tensions. He need not have done all this, yet he was going out of his way to protect her. As Dev stepped inside the shop, he leaned back and gestured through his fingers that he was going in and she should go to her house as well. Smiling, she nodded.

Next Day, Radhika sat on her favorite seat beside window in the same Caf, waiting for Dev. Weirdly she seemed to be getting impatient to see him – rather had been waiting for this moment since yesterday evening.

Just then Dev entered inside and her face all of a sudden brightened up. "Hi"

"Hi" He took the seat opposite her. "Nice weather and no rain today. So how was ur day?"

"Very good" she smiled – her lips couldn't stop smiling when he was close.

"That's better" he said'

"Umm…..here's your windcheater" she handed it over to him. "I was waiting for you to return this"

"Oh. So this was the only reason why you waited for me? Fine. I guess anyways you don't like my company right? You were mighty irritated yesterday. The Caf's not full today, better I find myself some other seat" saying, he was about to move

"Umm……..I won't mind your company today" she said quickly.

He stopped and gazed at her. "So is this windcheater the only reason why you were waiting for me?"

She suddenly felt tongue tied and her cheeks felt warm as he kept gazing at her deeply…… waiting for her answer.

"Hmm?" he prodded with a mischevious tinge in his eyes that made her pulse quicken.

Blushing slightly, she faced away.

Just then the waiter came in to take order.

"Two Coffee and 2 plates of sandwiches" they both ordered simultaneously and then burst in to loud laughter……………….

Welcome to the Fashion Corner to know who gets the accolades for dressing up elegantly and who gets the brickbats for dressing up weirdly!

Best Dressed Male Character
Dev

So its again………..Dev Purohit who wins the Best Dressed Character for his simple checked shirts and then the lovely white sherwani for sagai and shaadi events. He looked totally dashing in them.

Best Dressed Female Character

Radhika

Radhika Purohit. Rubina looked elegant in those simple chudidars she wore in Mansaram's house and looked absolutely wonderful in the sagai dress. Even Dev couldn't stop staring at her.

Worst Dressed Male Character
Chenu

Again, Chenu because he is never being given good clothings. Agreed they come from poor family, but atleast during his sister's engagement, he could have wore something else!

Worst Dressed Female Character

Daima

The lady wins hands down in this category because she is the only person who is dressed so simple but with no elegance.

YUNKI YEH KAUN BOLA??

Below there are a few dialogues which had been spoken by the characters in Choti Bahu. So all you need to do is…….to guess who has spoken it.
Simple na?
Then why wait? Scroll down to find the lines…….

Sambdhijee tum to fikr karo apne man ki khair...sambdhan kacha khayegi na lo us se bhair.

Aap mujhe aapna adhikar panese rok sakthe hai, aapse baath karne se rok sakthe hai. Mujhe apni pathi dharam nibhane se koi nahi rok saktha, mere pathi bhi nahi.

Ek bar hamre phere ho jaye, tho tumhare kahna kya, koi bhawan bhi nahi baccha payenge
Theek hai main uss ladki se keh doonga ke tum dono ko rakhi baand de...phir use apne bhaiiyon ke liye Khana laane main koi takleef nahi hogi
Mein aapko mil gaya yeh Badi baath hai

Ungliyan tho usi chehare ko tarashengi jo dil mein hai,...Haseen chehare ko baahon mein bhar, aur phir dekh kaise woh haseen chehra tere us har ek murthi ka chehra ban jayega

Yeh sab aap issliye keh rahi hai kyunki aap sach nahi jaanthi, jab aap sach jaan lengi tab aap samaj jayengi ki kyon sahi hai aur kyon galath

Radhika -Barkha 6

Both the characters shared an immensely warm friendship during this month. However, Barkha's too much to nosiness wasn't liked by the audience it seems! No wonder, the relation meter has shifted lower.

Dev-DDjee 8

DDjee however cruel was still respected by Dev a lot. Its because of DDjee he was separated from his mother…….but then DDjee could have left Dev and his mother in a lurch…..and he did love Dev a lot. Thus Dev pays this respect to him and even during dire circumstances never raises his voice against his grandfather. Good relation between them.

Mansaram-Radhika 9

This is easily the best relation in this entire show! The Purohit Members are fake and so is their love and compassion. Amidst all this, there is a pure Father-Daughter relationship between these two people. Despite not being her biological father, Mansaram has stood strong for Radhika's rights and he did this time as well. He stood against Shanti and even slapped her for abusing Radhika with wrong words. He went out of his way to make arrangements for Radhika's engagement…..and couldn't contain his anger when someone pointed wrongly at Radhika's character. Audience just loves to watch this pure, unadulterated relation.

Padma-Dev 7

Padma's love for Rohan can never be surpassed with her love for Dev. Still she does feel compassionate towards Dev, and is not stone hearted. This month, especially when Rohan was gone, we got to see the relation between Dev and Padma as well. They both are compassionate towards each other, and Padma does cling to Dev for her security and he realizes that and acts accordingly. Nothing like Mother-Son……..but still they do empathize with each other to some extent

Rakesh-Avinash 8

The duo provided mind blowing chemistry in each and every scene! May it be the playful Dev with his DDjee……or the strong, stubborn Dev who stood for what he thought was right and in the process went against his DDjee. Rakesh is a veteran actor and Avinash complemented him very well!

Rubina-Benaf 8

Rubina and Benaf's friendship easily translates onscreen and they are entirely comfortable with each other.

Sushmita-Avinash 7

The characters they portray though empathize with each other, still have some awkwardness due to past events. Sushmita and Avinash easily portray that awkwardness when needed and become easy when necessary. Good job but there ought to be more scenes.

Pragati-Micckey 8

Maheshwari and her Son Virat, are firecrackers when they come together. Both are utterly selfish and mostly think about themselves…….and thus end up fighting, mistrusting each other. Pragati and Micckey do a fine job in portraying these arrogant, strong headed people who are lacking in brain……..and even if they have brain, they hunger for quick power makes them blind! Pragati Mehra is an excellent actress and Mickey Dudani throws in good liners to make the scene look wonderful.

When is Raksha Bandhan?

Raksha Bandhan a.k.a. Rakhi is celebrated every year on 'Shravan Purnima' (Full Moon Day of the Hindu month of Shravan), which generally falls in the month of August. This year it fell on August 13th.

The significance of Raksha Bandhan

The central ceremony involves the tying of a rakhi (sacred thread) by a sister on her brother's wrist. This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.

One of the historical legends includes the incident from the epic Mahabharat involving Krishna and Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas. She had once torn a strip of silk off her sari and tied it around Krishna's wrist to staunch the bleeding from a battlefield wound. Krishna was touched by her action and declared her to be his sister, even though they were unrelated. He promised to repay the debt and then spent the next 25 years doing just that. Draupadi, in spite of being married to five great warriors and being a daughter of a powerful monarch, trusted and depended wholly on Krishna. Krishna repaid the debt of love during the "Cheer-Haran" (literally "clothing-removing") of Draupadi, which occurred in the assembly of King Dhritarashtra when Yudhisthira lost her to the Kauravas in gambling. At that time, Krishna indefinitely extended her saree through divine intervention, so it could not be removed, to save her honor. This is how he honored his rakhi vow toward Draupadi.

Traditions & Customs of Raksha Bandhan

On the auspicious day of Rakhi, sisters wake up in the morning, take bath, offer prayers to God and visit their brothers to perform the rituals of Rakhi. The ritual of Raksha Bandhan essentially includes tying of sacred thread (which is called 'Rakhi' or 'Raksha Sutra') by the sisters, on their brothers' wrist. Before tying Rakhi, the sisters would perform an aarti, apply tilak (by mixing rice grains and roli) on their brother's forehead and then offer them sweets. After the ritual of tying Rakhi is over, the brothers would give their sisters some gift or money and promise them to help them whenever they need and protect them throughout their lifetime.

When is Krishna Janmashtami?

As per the birth of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of the second fortnight, in the month of Shravan every year. This year it fell on August 22nd.

The significance of Janmashtami
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the reincarnations of Lord Vishnu born in the Dwapar Yug. Lord Krishna was born to King Vasudev and Mata Devki in the prison of Kansa, a demon king on a dark, stormy and windy night when moon entered the house of Vrishabha in the 'Rohini' nakshatram (star) to end the rule of 'adharma' (evil forces) and establish peace, prosperity and religion on the earth.

Customs & Rituals of Janmastami

The festival is celebrated throughout the country with immense zeal. Devotees of Lord Krishna all over the country observe fasting on this day. The celebrations of Janmashtami takes place only at the midnight of Krishnashtami as the birth Sri Krishna took place on the conjunction point of both the days. Lot of hymns, aarti, bhajans takes place and the rocking the cradle of Lord is done as a sign of his arrival. His idol is then bathed with milk, ghee, honey and Gangajal. He is also offered 'bhog' i.e. all the scrumptious 'satvik' (pure) food items that have been prepared by devotees all day long. Later these are distributed amongst the devotees as 'prasad'. It is at this time when the devotees open their fast by consuming the holy prasad.

Janmashtami, popularly known in Mumbai and Pune as Dahi Handi, is celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm. The handi is a clay pot filled with buttermilk that was positioned at a convenient height prior to the event. The topmost person on the human pyramid tries to break the handi by hitting it with a blunt object mostly a coconut is preferred being a sign of purity and truth. When that happens, the buttermilk spills over the entire group, symbolizing their achievement through unity.
