Radhika's journey continues……

She is trying to find words to tell Dev what is bothering her but her fear is stopping her. When Padma asked Radhika to do Dev's arti she kept on looking with a worried look and Dev was searching her eyes for the problem that was bugging her. She is even avoiding Dev's company because Radhika knows that Dev can get stuff out of her very easily and since she does not know what to do with the information she avoids him which further baffles Dev. Last week I was wondering whether this feeding of Brahmin will just be used to show the meaness of Barkha or will it be used in some other way to drive some points to the characters specially Radhika. …and today it was used to give the final push to. When Maheshwari showed her the real face of Barkha last week Radhika was still hesitating……….but today Barkha spoiling the food deliberately and her knowing that Barkha did it knowingly finally drove it into her that what she was avoiding to deal with is actually true. When Barkha came out supporting her in front of others and tried to show that she always thinks of Radhikas good……..Radhika had an interesting expression on her face and she realized the hypocrisy of Barkha. Then badi bahu comes and defends her saying that Radhika cannot do this, someone else has done this to the food…….. Radhika throws a very hurt look at Barkha. She looks at Dev with tears in her eyes when Dev tells BB that no one came into the kitchen then how can anyone spoil the food………I think it sunk in Radhika what Barkha is upto…….that hurt look is still in Radhika's eyes while she is looking at Barkha and she remembers seeing Barkha going into the kitchen and BB saying that Barkha can do anything to get Dev…..Barkha then becomes the martyr and is ready to accept the wrath of the Brahmins and Radhika is thinking. Dev walks off in anger and Barkha says that she will go and talk to him……..and Radhika has latent anger in her eyses……..she is not saying anything but glaring at Barkha…….Later on while feeding the brahmins she throws an artificial smile at Barkha. Regarding Dev when the Brahmins were eating, her first look is of hurt and then that changes to that of happiness that she has not let anything affect him. When the brahmin asks for RPtian Radhika keeps on looking at Dev and Barkha takes the decision and steps in and Radhika's look changes to anger again ...then when the brahmns wish Barkha and Dev for life together...Radhika looks at Padma and walks away (was she looking for something from Padma...she will not find whatever she is looking for ) . Radhika is completely broken down and facing all these emotional wounds one after the other but she is not losing her dignity…the way she walked out without saying a word shows her steely spinal chord which will bend but will no break and she goes to the privacy of the bedroom to cry and thas where Dev finds her (most probably Dev followed her after that incident with the brahmins)….In their room it was Dev saying that she is pushing him away that made her open her mouth…In Radhika's conversation between her and Barkha…..the latter is blabbering while Radhika is calmly looking at her and then she sarcastically tells Barkha that she did not actually believe Radhika….BB did but not her. …when she is her best friend…since Barkha always talks of best friend…..and then Barkha starts giving her excuses after being flustered first and Radhika is just calmly studying her…….. shows who is secure and who is insecure………and then Radhika tells to herself that BB is bad but that everyone knows but what about Barkha and she never expected this from her…….

As for Dev……..he got flustered on Friday when he realized that Radhika was sitting and staring at him the entire night…wanted to be with him but did not wake him up…then on repeated asking Radhika is still not telling him. ….and then the food incident mad him lose his temper which was further worsened by badi bahu supporting Radhika. In his room when Barkha tells him that Radhika is doing all this because she is feeling lost out, he does not want to believe Barkha but then Barkha tells him that she knows Radhika better because she knows her from childhood……but actually Radhika proved Barkha wrong by saving Dev's face and also calmly walking away from the hall when the coins were distributed, but Dev might have taken it the other way. Later on in his room he apologises to Radhika and tells her that he should not have shouted at her and also tells her the reason why…because he loves her and hence expects her to tell him all her problems...he also tells her that he cannot help her until and unless she tells him what is wrong…….. I was thinking when the Brahmins were blessing Dev to follow truth……..what will be their reaction when they will get to know that this is all based on lies……..then the brahmins told him to follow the old chaps step regarding duty….well Dev is doing that…….but one dialogue might come to bite Dev later on….that Radhika knows that Dev is doing all this or RP…….will he realise that he chose RP over Radhika? Yes he is thinking of giving Radhika's rights but when the crucial time comes he does chose RP……when he was ready to destroy the RP dreams when her kidnapped Radhika to protect her. Or will Barkha's word have the opposite effect on Dev and he will think that Radhika is getting hurt by him choosing RP ...she he sould do something about it.

Coming to Barkha..well what can I say….she is very insecure and her false bravado is all a means to hide her insecurity and that's why from childhood she latched on to the secure Radhika…….to outsiders she is the one who is strong but actually that is not true………it is Radhika….who just kept quiet because being a secure person she did not think that she has to prove herself to others. So this obsession did start from childhood………people have always praised Radhika which Barkha does not like….and she wants to own whatever Radhika has…….so the aim is Radhika and whoever is pulling the strings from background is using Barkhas obsession for Radhika to get the work done. This girl is also completely delusional….she is saying that Dev chose Barkha when Dev did what Radhika wanted….she is saying that Radhika thinks that she is Dev's wife when Radhika is Dev's wife……..Barkha's sense of reality is constantly blurring.

A for acting today was again Rubina's day followed by Avinash……Rubina was brilliant and Avinash also supported her throughout the episode.…but todays episode was about Radhika's illusion about Barkha finally coming to an end and it was Barkha herself who did it for her…….

Misti,

I loved Radhika today - her silence, dignity, anger, sarcasm and hurt looks at both Dev and Barkha. Rubina was excellent; her acting is so impressive these days and her portrayal of this complex Radhika of CB2 is superb. Radhika is my favorite character in CB2 and she remains so. I liked the episode today in how Barkha's actions and BB's past words combined with Dev's hurt finally convinced Radhika to share this with Dev.
Dev - what can I say? Avinash was superb in his portrayal of Dev. But Dev's character appeared extremely selfish to me today. So I had to agree with that Brahmin who stated that Dev is following Dada's footsteps. He is as he is continuously choosing RP and false family prestige at the expense of Radhika. He loves Radhika and yet neither understands her (if he could blame her for deliberately ruining the food) nor hesitates to use her. So he could blame her unjustly (so what if the food was spoilt?; can't she be allowed to make even one mistake) and can remain angry with her until he finds out that she did save family prestige. So then he apologize to her but blames her also for not sharing her problems. This is when she just walked 11 kms the day before to pray for his happiness (why else she would go to this trouble?). So she has one off day and food gets spoiled (according to him) and he can't tolerate that.
He did say that his anger was because of his frustration with her closing up on him. But he never apologized that he was wrong in whatever he said. He knows that she would never deliberately do anything even if she was in bad mood. That he went too far in his anger and his words were inexcusable. Why spend minutes on serving food and creating artificial suspense and not giving proper apology to Dev?
Anyway, at this point I would say that Radhika needs to leave this house and let Dev enjoy his RP title. He should realize what he has lost and how empty is all the family prestige and RP title when Radhika is not there and Barkha is his RPtain.
Barkha - she is one psychotic person. Misti, your analysis was on target. She is jealous of Radhika since the childhood and her obsession does seem to be Radhika. Since Radhika is the superior one, Barkha wants what Radhika loves. If tomorrow Radhika stops loving Dev and want somebody else, Barkha would go after that person. Also she is delusional when she said that Dev chose Barkha and gave her rights or that Radhika considers herself his wife. Was Dev made dumb in this scene when he didn't pick up on Barkha's words? Or was he selfish when he suggested that Radhika would never think like this. But shouldn't Radhika be allowed to think like that? Hasn't he given her rights to somebody else? Isn't she the one who is doing all the work and Barkha taking credit for it? Is it fair for Radhika. Why this amazement at Dev's part? He should be feeling guilty that he has taken so much from Radhika and she is suffereing because of his and his family's actions. That he and his family are enjoying everything because all the blame that should be his and his family's has passed to Radhika.
In conclusion, it was again Rubina's episode today and Radhika was the star. I liked her looking at Padma and Padma as usual giving her that helpless look. Padma likes Radhika a lot but would never give her anything that would adversely affect her and her son's interests (in this case family security and tarnishing of her son's name).

misti ...awesome write up ...

dont know where the story is headed but today rubina and avinash were excellent

rubina is doing a fabulous job with her pain and anger ... avinash is going back and forth between being angry and helpless at not being able to understand why rads is feeling the way she is ...

i thought dev was angry bcos rads was hiding something from him ... he also does not like bb speaking for rads ... dev knows rads enough to know that she will not want the public recognition ... but barkha telling him that hopefully have the opposite effect of making him start questioning the lie he is living and the effect it could be having on rads

Going forwards, i do hope they do not kill rads or dev ... i am fond of both characters and they have to learn their lessons - but having rads come back 20 years later re-incarnated is not the answer ... or having both of them die and come back in new avatars would not work

Instead, dont mind if rads is presumed dead ... dev needs to realize what he has lost bcos he is taking her for granted ... but i would like him to become strong and fight for their battles with her ... one of the main attractions of CB1 was not only krishna but also a strong dev ... and i hope that since they have made him RP he realizes that he should have tread the path of truth ... he need not recognize that barkha is evil but he should question whether what has happened to him is bcos they did not tell the truth ... would like both of them to realize and fight ...not have dev totally weak and rads being the only one fighting

Anyway, am feeling drained with the number of articles that have come back and forth regarding cb2 ... the biggest problem is that they have introduced too many twists and turns - and barely have any promos that are positive ... let's see how they do on TRPs

Misti, loved ur thoughts, glad we are on the same wave...i too saw a strong radh,a radhika that finally knows bh's true colors, confirmed it infact! It was a delight to see her talk back to bh...she is more inteligent than that delusional bh who thinks that dev kn ever put his eyes on her!Radhs expressions were wonderful with dev,bh and padma:fear and confusion, determination, strenght and disgust and with padma is was like "see,kn u help me in this,my rites are taken away just like it happened to you!kn u do smth?"but offcourse padma wouldnt hear her thoughts!
DEV-well,he felt her sorrow and it angered him cause she woudnt share so he could help...but when he cared more abt the rjp name i felt that they r changing him in order to make him guilty for not defending radhs rites! Bh will take advantage and then th
e future track kn happen...Anyway,i like todays epi cause of radhs realisation of the twisted mind of bh...

oh - meant to add that if they would like to start a new story line ... why dont they wrap up this track very positively with rads and dev fighting for their right to be rp .. and show them almost like rads and dev from cb1

- and start a track with dev's twin and rads twin ... and start a more modern love story between them ...i would prefer that to killing these two characters

Misti liked your analysis , just saw the half later part of the show , and read the updates ...Whenever Radhika was looking at Dev there was hurt in her eyes a if wanted him to understand her...There bonding is missing , was supposed to be spiritual one , where they did not need to tell the other one what was he/she going through ...Radhika is still there but Dev is missing ..He said something to her about food being spoilt , some proper word , that was out of place in Dev,s context ...Does not he understand this girl sacrificed everything , her own identity for him , can she do anything to harm him or his family ?...I will totally agree with Angie today ...Barkha is doing her job very well , being the poor , sacrificed goat before Dev , making him guilty and trying to create distance between the two ...Here Dev is not cunning , he is simple person , Barkha is playing with his guilt ..When Pandits ask for RPtian , radhika was looking at him , maybe somewhere in her heart , Dev will call her ...Why he is not supposed to tell Radhika of being fed up of these lies and deceits .All deceit and lies are going on ..Dev has been dumbed for the next track ...Barkha may be insecure , but is quite smart ...Radhika has the patience and have presence of mind , may be will be playing Barkha,s game , not to make her suspicious as she is dangerous and have all property in her hand ...Her position as Dev,s wife is becoming stronger day by day ...I also would like Radhika to go away ...

Do not have to write anything Angie ,I totally agree with you ...They have changed Dev,s character...First in the Kitchen and then i found it really very sad when Radhika was looking at him , when Pandit called RPtian , may be somewhere in her heart ...I do not know these two scenes were letdown for me ...God know what ride Creatives will take the viewers but essence of Dev Radhika,s spiritual bonding is going on disappearing ...

Radhika and Rubina both were fantabulous...I am just watching Rubina's portrayal of this very complex Radhika ...she is stealing scenes from right under other actors noses...she had far less dialogues than the others...it was just her expressions and her eyes that were doing the talking and I literally fell off the chair seeing a sarcastic Radhika...I want more sarcasm from her please...its such a relief...always works like a much needed insulin injection.

Dev - what can I say? Avinash was superb in his portrayal of Dev. Yes he was...whatever be the characterisation if he apeared selfish and going all over the place to the audience then that means Avinash has been able to do his job... But Dev's character appeared extremely selfish to me today. he is selfish regarding Radhika...because he is taking her for granted ... So I had to agree with that Brahmin who stated that Dev is following Dada's footsteps. He is as he is continuously choosing RP and false family prestige at the expense of Radhika.yes and here I think the dada factor comes into play...dada is linked to RP so when the crucial time comes he chooses dada over Radhika...when one has to really chose between two relations then a person will usually chose the one that is the oldest to that person and to Dev it is dada...I am now thinking that he is just telling that he did what Radhika asked him to do but actually at that moment in the sabha when he had to chose between dada and Radhika...he chose RP that is dada. He thinks that since Radhika loves him and put him first she will be there and thats why he can have both...so thats why he does need a kick on his backside. It will be interesting to see what will be his reaction when he really acknowledged the true face of dada. He loves Radhika and yet neither understands her (if he could blame her for deliberately ruining the food) nor hesitates to use her. that food thing was his lashing out at her for not telling him the truth...the food was just an excuse. So he could blame her unjustly (so what if the food was spoilt?; can't she be allowed to make even one mistake) he expects Radhika to always preserve his face...thats what she has been doing till now and this will continue until and unless Radhika says no...which she won't and hence they are both in this vicious circle...and can remain angry with her until he finds out that she did save family prestige. So then he apologize to her but blames her also for not sharing her problems. Again taking for granted This is when she just walked 11 kms the day before to pray for his happiness (why else she would go to this trouble?). So she has one off day and food gets spoiled (according to him) and he can't tolerate that. The writers are repeatedly emphasising on Dev taking Radhika for granted.
Again taking for granted...
Anyway, at this point I would say that Radhika needs to leave this house and let Dev enjoy his RP title. He should realize what he has lost and how empty is all the family prestige and RP title when Radhika is not there and Barkha is his RPtain. That where I think all this is leading too

Barkha - she is one psychotic person. Misti, your analysis was on target.thank you😉 She is jealous of Radhika since the childhood and her obsession does seem to be Radhika.this obsession had to be long one to have this affect on Barkha Since Radhika is the superior one, Barkha wants what Radhika loves. yes If tomorrow Radhika stops loving Dev and want somebody else, Barkha would go after that person. yes she will...she only wants what Radhika has...Also she is delusional when she said that Dev chose Barkha and gave her rights or that Radhika considers herself his wife. Was Dev made dumb in this scene when he didn't pick up on Barkha's words? Or was he selfish when he suggested that Radhika would never think like this.Dev did not choose Barkha he chose dada...as for Barkha she is slowly loosing her grip on reality...few more sessions with badi bahu will make her go over the edge.. Maybe Dev said that Radhika will never think this way because Radhika told him that she does not care what others consider her to be she just wants to be his wife at home....maybe he is worried about Radhika that he is not paying attention to Barkhas words and is just thinking that Radhika what is botehring Radhika ...I am holding back on Dev right now because want to see him more before coming to any decision.... But shouldn't Radhika be allowed to think like that? yes she should...she has the right to Hasn't he given her rights to somebody else? yes he has Isn't she the one who is doing all the work and Barkha taking credit for it? Is it fair for Radhika. Why this amazement at Dev's part? He should be feeling guilty that he has taken so much from Radhika and she is suffereing because of his and his family's actions. That he and his family are enjoying everything because all the blame that should be his and his family's has passed to Radhika...Dev does realise that...he himself told Padma that he wants to give Radhika's rights...but the problem is that when he has to chose between RP that is dada and Radhika, dada is winning. Dev has been fed on duty and tradition since he was a child and Radhika is a recent addition to his life...although he loves Radhika he will chose duty...the only time he will choose Radhika is if he sees her in danger (which he did before)...
In conclusion, it was again Rubina's episode today and Radhika was the star.yes I liked her looking at Padma and Padma as usual giving her that helpless look. Padma likes Radhika a lot but would never give her anything that would adversely affect her and her son's interests (in this case family security and tarnishing of her son's name). yes...Padma will help Radhika if it does not affect her secure life...otherwise she won't.

Misti excellent analysis of today's episode, agree with yours and Angie's thoughts. I liked today's episode because of Radhika, they have given two episodes to Radhika's emotion and pov. Hope they continue in this way and not change Dev too much so that Barkha is able to create misunderstanding between them.
Barkha's hatred for Radhika is very similar to Ashanti's, it probably started from gurukal where everyone must have praised Radhika and becoming the teacher's pet must have driven Barkha mad. As Angie said if Radhika chooses some one else to love she will want that person and stop wanting Dev. So I agree with you Misti, it is Ashanti helping Radhika because their goal is the same, their complexes are similar too and both want to destroy Radhika totally.
Even though I am enjoying Radev's acting but dreading to see Radhika's pain, her being so down and lost. Also Dev not being able to understand what is the matter with her. It is heart wrenching to watch all this. Rubina has become a fantastic actress. Avi too is good but I take him for granted because he always delivers whatever part he has to portray.
