This song reminds me of Radhika ...song from Movie Patita , means characterless, outcast , somebody takes advantage of her and leaves her and she had a baby ...She has to face the society,s ire again and again. Then she meets the hero , who does not care for the society , he belongs to influential family , has to go through many hardships , marries her and give her deserved place in the society ..This Film is about 50years old , and our CB is in 2011 still in the dark-ages ...Writers do not have the guts to write progressive story ...Really ashamed , try to find the easy way out ...Here Mitti means human beings , she is complaining to God , why you play with human beings , if iam not wrong , this is the meaning ...
Every one wanted that Dev should accept Radhika and then face the society as he was shown a righteous person with values , was strong-willed not afraid of the society ...But Makers had other plans , turned that person in to selfish, coward person and killed his soul ...This is TV world, money churning machine , not bothered about their responsibility to society ...Avinash and Rubina are excellent actors , they have to perform what the story demands as actors do not have any say ...Wish if do not have story should go to 50-60,s Hindi movies , will find very progressive content based movies ...You will identify Radhika ,in this song ..Here is the lyrics...Here she addresses god ..she complains and laments that ..you made us human being from fistful of earth and then You are playing with clay toys...

Myra here is another song from same movie , when he marries her and he has to face the hurdles , his father asks him to leave the house and she feels bad that it all is happening because of her ...Listen to this song , you will love it ...If Creatives allowed , we will see them singing this song ..

Exactly Neerja! This film, a 50 yr old one at that, is so progressive. But these people in 2011 made Dev such a coward? Why? Do actually people in 2011 object to this kind of marriage?

What makes a Good RPtian? Only the fact that she is an untouched woman, a pure woman? In Dev's nightmare he imagined people saying, that if a RP married such a characterless girl how will he lead the society? Why can't he? Didn't Dev have the guts to explain his stance? Wouldn't it have been better to show Dev as a true leader who brings about some reform?

His character took a decision based on his fear. If seen in a positive manner, whatever they showed did make some justice. But my main glitch -- why make Dev weak and scared? He was scared that now people would insult Rads and he would lose his sole support, Rads, who was against his belief! My main grunt against this track is that they brought down RaDev heavily! They both were given wrong ideas. I am damn sure, if Rads hadn't been so strong in her own belief, then Dev wouldn't have fallen weak either!

Society would keep pointing at every silly thing...but until someone doesn't come up to reform it, how will the society's outlook change? We wanted to see Dev standing strong despite all oppositions and asking if it would be right on his part to leave his wife? Would he be a truthful RP leader? People would scream, throw stones at him and ask him to step down. But can't he for once try to change the society. What are leaders for? Just for sitting and taking advantages of luxuries? In that case, Virat or Rohan can easily handle this post.

A RP needs to be a strong man who can withstand any situation and try to bring reforms in the society, try to preserve the righteousness in the society! Dev unfortunately failed because of his weakness!

I know Myra , faults lies with creativity , they made Dev weak , when he was always strong , would have easily faced the society for the rights of his wife , for that needed strong script ...You are right all were expecting him to say your underlined words ...

The best thing Dev could have done was to tell the truth and wait for the responce and reactions from society, if they understand and supported him, matter cudhv been solved, if not thn he wudhv renounce the RPship...or refuse to be a RP..and holding Radhika's hand he wudhv left the ceremony...
