Barkha's truth to be exposed?
With Nishant Shokeen making an entry into Zee TV's Choti Bahu, the show is all set for a huge interweave.

In the upcoming episodes this week, Barkha and Radhika's truth will be exposed before the family.

An Indya sources claims, "Nishant Shokeen and Radhika both have wreaked havoc in Barkha's life and turned it into a cloak-and-dagger game. Barkha will confess of killing Radhika to Maheshwari and claim that the Radhika in the house isn't Radhika but an evil spirit. She will once again plan to kill Radhika but all her efforts will be unsuccessful. Barkha will then meet with an accident."

Rumours claim that Radhika will turn into Lord Krishna's avatar and that will be the end of Barkha but when contacted, Barkha (Benaf Dadachandji) refused to comment about the upcoming track. She says, "I am not aware of any such improvements. And as far as, future episodes are concerned I can't tell you anything about it. wait and watch the excitement unfold."

Stars share Diwali plans --Rubina

Its celebration time yet again. As we prepare for Diwali with diyas, sweets and fire crackers we find out what some stars from the Tellyworld plan to do this Diwali.

Rubina Dilaik - I get very excited during festivals right from childhood. This is the only time when the entire family gets together and we all exchange gifts. I remember one incident where we had gone to our relative's place and returned to find that one rocket had burnt our curtains. Thankfully the windows were closed and no damage was done to the room. In Mumbai, the city is dotted with lights and it's a wonderful sight to see every nook and corner lit up. This year I'm hoping for a day off from the shoot of Chhoti Bahu a couple of days prior to Diwali so that I can go shopping for diyas and other decorative and decorate my house beautifully.

Big romances on the small screen

Big romances on the small screen
Rubina Dilaik and Avinash Sachdev: Dev and Radhika of Choti Bahu admit that it wasn't love at first sight as they considered each other 'arrogant'. But work and promotional events for the show often threw them together. And before they knew it, the two were committed for life. The show ended but its popularity brought them back in a new version of the show. Ummm what's their status now in real life?

What attracts men towards women?

Avinash Sachdev
Simplicity in any girl is what attracts me. For me, make up and her wealth, is not something that attracts me. It's the simplicity and nature which drags me. A girl can be beautiful from many ways but the most important thing for me is the nature, behaviour, the way she reacts, the way she talk to others.

SMALL SCREEN LIGHTS UP

Various TV channels are coming up with special Diwali episodes to grab more eyeballs

Shruti Jambhekar

Beautiful diyas and rangolis, scrumptious mithai, everyone dressed in dazzling festive wear — the festive atmosphere is mesmerizing. It's only when you hear the word "cut" that you realize that you are on the sets of a small screen Diwali shoot. And this festive season, a host of entertainment channels are all in the race to grab eyeballs with their special episodes and special shows.
Producer Rajan Shahi says, "Everyone looks forward to festivals, but when one's celebrating a festival like Diwali on television, then the episodes also need to make an emotional connect with the people keeping in mind the festive mood. The celebrations should not be too loud and should appear real — that's what we are focusing on."
While the emotional connect plays a key role, creating the festive look on the sets is an expensive affair. Producer Raakesh Paswan says, "During the festive season, audiences watch less TV. So when special episodes are aired, they attract the audience. People connect with these special episodes as everybody is in an upbeat mood. Weaving in authentic festive touches in the storyline make it look attractive. Of course our budgets shoot up when we shoot these sequences."
And how do general entertainment channels (GEC)s plan to capture the festive fervor on their respective channels? Sukesh Motwani, fiction head of a GEC, says, "This year the Diwali episode is grander than all the previous years. All our lead actors across primetime shows are getting together for a fun-filled antakshri. Viewers will be delighted to see their favorite stars bring the house down with their singing and impromptu jigs. The lighthearted camaraderie between the actors will reflect the fun spirit with which families across India celebrate the festival. Each day of Diwali such as
Dhanteras, Bhai Dooj, Laxmi Poojan will be celebrated on a different primetime show each day, with actors of one show making surprise guest appearances on other shows."
Even the actors are having lots of fun on the sets. Pooja Gor says, "I couldn't be a part of "Diwali Dilon Ki", but, it is always fun celebrating a festival on the sets. Though, it is a bit irritating too when we have to keep wearing heavy jewellry and saris during the shoot."
Actor Aditya Redij says, "We are yet to shoot the Diwali special episodes. But any festivity on the sets is an absolute delight. For many, Diwali at home is not as grand as it is on the sets. So all of us — be it from the cast or crew enjoy it to the fullest. And for many of us, who are shooting even on festive days, it is like celebrating Diwali at a home away from home and that too with proper detailing which we might miss out at our homes. Since we all spend most of our time on the sets, co-actors are no less than family. It is absolute fun."

Love on the sets - Advantage or not?
Actors falling in love while working 18 hours a day seven days a week is common. We probe if mixing business and pleasure is an advantage or disadvantage, whether being in love on set affects their work equation and comfort level. Read on what most popular on and off screen couples have to say.

Rubina Dilaik & Avinash Sachdev
They have played the eternal lovers Dev and Radhika in Zee's Choti Bahu for two seasons now. A much loved couple, theirs wasn't love at first sight but with work keeping them together, love happened. Today the duo is engaged. Rubina shares her views, "Avinash and I maintain a thin line between personal and professional lives and don't mix them. As for comfort level, as an actor you have to be comfortable with the scenes you need to do romantic or not- irrespective of your co star. I would say it is neither an advantage nor disadvantage to work with your fianc as you need to have the discipline to be professional at work."
