@red ... true that ... these days if I see SP, all the shows are so similar, it's sometimes difficult to know which show one is watching! They just have a huge reach which helps them stay on top ... and also great production values ... all their shows look very polished in terms of presentation. I like their Life OK shows better ... EBI and GD are on my watch list. At one time I watched only SP, now I barely follow one, Veera, that too, off and on.Sony tries new things, I have to give them that ... but their reach is limited, their target audience is urban and they don't seem to give their shows much attention after the launch.Colors does experiment, but more in the weekend slot ... their 24, CNWK and BB are all mentioned as trendsetters on TV for this year in today's TOI. Their Balika Vadhu was also a trendsetter when it started, and Mukti Bandhan was another good show. Hope Rangrasiya is added to that list next year.
@ bold- Exactly, as if that point was not clear enough they go do stuff like EBP..
Colors has started a major revamp it appears.. RR and Beintehaa both are very different concepts.. There were reports of BV and Uttaran being wrapped up, although their credibility is questionable.. I feel they are trying to target all sections with their range of shows.. And that's a long term goal.. So we should not be looking at weekly rise/fall in GVT if we wish to compare Colors an SP but rather a quarterly or half yearly variations in the points..
@ pink- Amen.. Here i'm thankful for the long term visions of the channel Colors.. Hope it has a long successful journey..😊
