Hmmm.. Paro, poor thing, does seem to have a hell lot of trouble already.. Orphan, a male centric society, feudal politics, widowhood and what not.. So its kind of too demanding to expect her to be very strong but when the news came about a girl believing in love and guy not, i just started imagining this scenario.. And when you mentioned the Shiv Parvati comparison all the more so..

Hope they show her character to evolve as she faces her troubles and emerge stronger from each struggle.. Not that she turn into a Margaret Thatcher or anything, just a progress in the character..
i
🤣 OMG, perish the thought...our dreamer Paro turning into the Iron Lady!!! I agree with you I want Paro to be strong but I want to see the strength come through her experiences and it should be a deep strength. When it comes to the Paro Rudra equation I'm loving the Shiv-Parvati example that you and others have given and I think that would actually be something different to see on Indian tv. A a situation where the male and female are equals and balance each other out and are such an integral part of each other that in essence they become one...that to me would convey more passion than manhandling would.
I'm loving the ambience of the thread and hope we will carry it forward into the forum and that Ashish and Sanaya will also have a similar camaraderie.
Thank you to all the posters again for making the threads enjoyable for us stalkers...when we can keep up that is😆

@Madhu...I'm actually grateful for the quiet days in between as it gives me a chance to catch up somewhat.

A while back there was a debate over whether Paro was married or on her way to being married so looking at the picture below and not seeing any sindoor (and for a just married girl it would be quiet noticeable) I'm assuming she was on her way to being married but the ceremony itself didn't happen.

I am so not grateful and u should know better than to wish for that di! Its driving me insane not to get my regular dose of Sanaya! Yesterday sucked! I even slept early by 1 am & even read a M&B cz i had nothing to do when usually i have so much things to talk with u guys that I end up sleeping around 3 am! (though at least I am not drowsy right now 😆)

Look at this!!

Sindhoor (Red Powder)
Then the ritual of 'sindhoor' takes place where the groom applies a small dot of vermilion, a red powder to the bride's forehead and welcomes her as his partner for life. This signifies the completion of the marriage. Wedding Countdown & On / Off any page

They are NOT filling the parting!! Its the dot on the forehead!!!😲

I went after Marwari wedding customs!! And got this!! 😲 So she IS MARRIED!! 😲

I think in rural communities for a fiancee to die just before the wedding would probably mark the girl as inauspicous so she might as well be a widow. I don't know about the rajastani community in particular but a widow's bangles will more likely be broken off than taken off. I've always understood sindoor and mangla sutra to be the most signigicant symbols of a married woman. A widow can wear bangles eventually but not sindoor. I don't think I noticed a mangla sutra either. I hope the next promo will make things clearer.

i don't think so Paro married... she maybe a bride for a dead groom but not a widow please
at rural place like that... they quite strong in some superstitious believe isn't it?? its a bad thing right if ur future hubby die on the wedding day... i guess after something like that... that future bride will not marry anyone in her lifetime... cause they believe in badluck... grahan or something worst than that!!! even if Paro didn't even complete the wed ritual yet but as if she already widowed!! correct me if i'm wrong... what i can say Indian n Malay have many thing in similar... 🥱
