I am loving the sound of this!!! 😳

I think as this is about Paro's journey, she might start off as meek and mild, subject to the prejudices around her, of being female, an orphan, low down on the social scale in a feudalistic society ... and slowly rise in her own esteem and that of others through the show. I'm looking for a steady growth in character for Paro, in maturity as well as self respect and confidence ... along with the evolution of Rudra's character.

Exactly, my thoughts Diya, and hoping some of our predictions and analysis do come true. So, in the beginning though the characters and circumstances may look regressive, it will turn out to be a story of how Paro and Rudra triumph over their surroundings and most importantly their own fears, shortcomings and prejudices to find dignity and love.

From the very little we got from this tweet and promo it does seem the love story is entwined with Paro's own struggle for dignity and love within the social milieu of feudalistic poltilics and deep gender biases (it will be a rough journey). So, I too hope that as the story progresses Paro becomes this women who has agency and is ready to fight for her self-esteem and love. From the get-go I don't see it happening...but Paro will grow with experiences, I hope. From the promo it appears at times she might have to lock horns with the hero himself.

@ bold- That's the thing.. A part of a person's personality is in born but a significant portion is what life shapes it into.. Just my opinion but I dint see such an evolution with Khushi, who was an absolute darling but for all she faced she just seemed the same..

Paro could be a strong person as hardships are not a novelty for her, but more controlled of her reactions as the society she's in does not allow women to have a mind let alone express it.. If she's strong it ll be deep down not expressed easily..

Hmmm.. Paro, poor thing, does seem to have a hell lot of trouble already.. Orphan, a male centric society, feudal politics, widowhood and what not.. So its kind of too demanding to expect her to be very strong but when the news came about a girl believing in love and guy not, i just started imagining this scenario.. And when you mentioned the Shiv Parvati comparison all the more so..

Hope they show her character to evolve as she faces her troubles and emerge stronger from each struggle.. Not that she turn into a Margaret Thatcher or anything, just a progress in the character..

I am also hoping to see a graph, a character development, depth of emotions and layers in Paro as the story progresses, and you got it right, she may not turn into our urban, cosmopolitan idea of liberated but breaks the shackles of circumstances within the society and social background she comes from, which is rural Rajasthan.

The Paravati reference is to the calm, placid and loving exterior which hides the fierce determination within.

From these discussions (hope some of our wishes regarding Paro are fulfilled and she is not always pinning for someone to rescue her) it looks like a very challenging role and something Sanaya can relish and do full justice too. Fingers crossed.

@ bold- loved that line..😊
Paro is quite a complex character, and one with a lot of possibilities.. Hoping all of these get explored in course..

Gees...I was going to write the same thing, Parvati seems like quite a complex character and I hope the writing and direction as well as acting is able to bring out the various nuances. Sanaya can do full justice to this role. I also like your line in the previous post about not fully and openly to being able to show her inner strength.

@bold ... I love the sound of that . That's exactly what I want for Paro ... the underlying strength and fierce determination ... a surface malleability which can be deceptive, a calm quiet exterior, even timid, given the circumstances that she comes from ... and steel underneath. The steel emerging slowly as the character evolves.

Sanaya can do complete justice to such a role, I really hope it is well layered and well written.

People, please leave your thoughts and comments here ... asking Vijay Sir for some clarity about the rankings. Although San is on top, there are still some questions about the way the ranks are computed ... Vijay Sir answered some queries last week, so he might answer us if enough people post.

The more u think more the possibilities emerging.. A rather soft spoken, timid girl in the beginning.. She has been suffering and tolerating all her life, but there is usually one incident that finally takes her to the limits of hher endurance.. Here it could be the husband dying on wedding day, we see her shattered and broken in the promo.. So what emerges after is like rising of the phoenix.. And this incidentally leads to a clash with Rudra who is the latest in a long list of her offenders and from there the relationship progresses..

I better not build castles in the air and that too with minimum data.. But one can dream..
