6:20am - 15 Nov 13From the very little we got from this tweet and promo it does seem the love story is entwined with Paro's own struggle for dignity and love within the social milieu of feudalistic poltilics and deep gender biases (so it's a rough journey). So, I too hope that as the story progresses Paro becomes this women who has agency and is ready to fight for her self-esteem and love. From the get-go I don't see it happening...but Paro will grow with experiences. At times, it looks like from promo, she might have to fight with the hero himself.
Hmmm.. Paro, poor thing, does seem to have a hell lot of trouble already.. Orphan, a male centric society, feudal politics, widowhood and what not.. So its kind of too demanding to expect her to be very strong but when the news came about a girl believing in love and guy not, i just started imagining this scenario.. And when you mentioned the Shiv Parvati comparison all the more so..
Hope they show her character to evolve as she faces her troubles and emerge stronger from each struggle.. Not that she turn into a Margaret Thatcher or anything, just a progress in the character..
