If we look at the names- Parvati itself symbolizes calm, endurance, loving, devotion and benevolent but when pushed to the brink she transforms to take a fierce form to bring back order. She is a giver, protector and defender. She is a perfect foil to Rudra the fearsome and aggressive one but also known as a healer.

I maybe reading too much into the names, but hoping a lot of thought has been put into the names and they tell us something about the characters.
