But there were the YRF shows...good writing, execution, great production values...they had everything going for them and for the first time some shows which could actually interest the male viewers as well. But where was the marketing...they all sank with pathetic TRPs. Most of the ppl watched them later on YT and realized how good they were.

Agree completely ... the YRF shows were excellent shows, great execution, great production values, great acting for the most part ... they came with pre-determined number of episodes and wrapped up without dragging. The only show my husband ever watched with any interest, Kismet, was one ... I think they were way ahead of their time. I tuned into it only because it was an adaptation of Kane and Abel and we both loved the show.

Maybe the average TV audience really does prefer the mind-numbing brainless daily shows that are currently on air ... like you said, they are marketed much better. The promos are all about the dramatic value ... I can't forget the matka promos of one shows which completely appalled me as to how such regressive crap is even allowed on TV ... and I had friends actively defending the concept and trying to convince me how progressive and realistic it actually was! But it had drama ... drama apparently sells 🤢

Sony definitely needs to do something about its programming as it is the only channel which has pulled out so many shows off air in a short time. . The problem with Sony as I see is that they do not think thier concepts through. So the story progression becomes a weak point. Casting is another issue and most of the shows which are going off air suffered from bad casting of MLs.

i want Sanaya Irani back on TV as soon as possible...after 19th Sept TV will be boring...

Interesting enough!! I think I just saw the same place Sanaya was spotted!! Two hours ago, I caught that that 'Will Travel For Food' on NDTV here in US!! Some white guy probably from Masterchef Australia was there cooking in front of three kids with the host and one of the indian chef!! During the show after a few minutes it said underneath where they were!! And it turned out that they were at Westin Mumbai Garden City!! They were in some Kitchen obviously!! Very fancy place!! Why didn't I visit these fancy places while I was India last time?!! :(
And it's final, guys!! I will marry only a chef someday!! LOL wish

Very happy CC is going to be over soon. I am again excited to see her in another show..maybe a better one. I just can't watch saas bahu shows..no matter how progressive or regressive it is!
