Well I was about to post this as a response to : Darling: Karan johar topic discussion. then realized i had written a lot that would be wasted on a back page as well as I wanted to tell this for the past 24 hrs n so thought to make a separate topic.. So added a few more stuff as well..
personally I found him extremely rude when he started out. BUT the thing was Sanaya today was there as a contestant and NOT as a celeb guest. So she knew her place was different this time around and u can very clearly see it in her behavior.
The moment KJo registered this with the way Sanaya reacted to his taunt (yes it was one.. he wasn't being chummy chummy, he was being sarcastic!) he quickly pulled up his act.. (this is coming from a person who had a crush on him for the past 10 yrs or so! i used to totally adore him!š„±)
Not just him..Even Remo I was quite scared first.. But lol this time Sanaya was such a baby that hehe by the end of it Remo was actually laughing seeing her reactions...
So as they say laughter is the best medicine and it all got ironed out..
But finally one important factor. Sanaya received respect from the judges for her dancing skills. This was what I was praying for due to the rocky start she had..cz oh well the judges r snobby.. there is no way to get around it.. they r used to boot licking and as she herself came as a celeb guest 1st time around she was on par with them and she behaved accordingly. And it pissed them off.. (cz come on she is a reining queen on TV and was brought in to increase the glam quotient of the show!! And just like all of the judges r in the pinnacle of success in their respective arenas she is also at such a point in her own arena. until she was a contestant she was not supposed to go all 'sir' 'mam' on them unless age is the deciding factor, for all of them r a lot older than her..)
But this time when she was in the shoes of a contestant and behaved accordingly things fell in to place..
the thing is Sanaya has time and again said that she never gets star complex.She is never star struck and is quite used to being very casual. Its just the way she is cz she doesn't consider either herself or anyone else stars, she thinks of them as normal human beings.. I still remember in 2011 when the whole set of SP bahus brigade were tongue tied Sanaya actually teased SRK in to playing Garba with her on stage! She actually taught him how to do it properly! I was in splits throughout! š So well...do i need to tell anything else? (KJo needs to learn a thing about humility from SRK! he is such a down to earth guy with no airs!)
This is why I think KJo was utterly rude. BUT Remo was really good! He put aside previous baggage not that was in anyway imp enough to be taken such offense atš„± (ok maybe KJo already try the slur and they saw how nervous she was and was in a different avatar and was behaving suiting to it) and he gave a very professional opinion..š³
Anyway the bottom line is Sanaya danced well.
AND another fact many might not have noticed. Other than Sanaya EVERY SINGLE other teen ka tadka participant introduced was picked on their professional/competition level dance experience!
Yes every 1 of them had been former JDJ or some other dance competition participants and HAD competed in dance in a professional level. Sanaya was the ONLY one making her debut performance..cz she was the only 1 there due to a friendship and due to her own star status..
The judges knew this too obviously cz most others were former JDJ participants n they themselves had judged them i guess..
AND with her debut dance in to competitive arena she excelled! This is what swayed the rest in to her side..
She was not pointed a SINGLE mistake! And that is like AWESOME for a first performance!š
Sanaya was a nervous wreck! (which was utterly cute btw!š cz seeing our always cool Sanny like that was very adorable though seeing her distress as she was almost about to cry with worry I did feel bad..) But hehe that very nervousness was what made the rewards all the more sweeter!š³
cz she was shaking like a leaf and was like waiting for the axe to fall! And instead she was praised totally for her dance!ā¤ļø
YUP this girl who was untrained in dancing, who at the most had 2 days or so to practice with a contestant who was there for almost 12 weeks or so..And she matched step to step in a dance style which she had not even heard before then (lol u can see her being new to it when SD said abt it to her)! And yet she did it so well! āļø
And I cannot say just how proud of our doll I am!! š¤
