Honestly, if they are just planning to go the cliched daily soap route of the husband accepting his wife because of mangalsutra, marriage vows, kids and are going to skim over all the issues involved here, then this track has no purpose.

The PH has to decide where they are going with this show. The TRPs are at their lowest and they are clearly not following the melodramatic way of story telling so might as well show something different.

There are so many things here..UB's manner of ruling the family and forcing her sons, Kaumudi's low self esteem, Incompatibility between Mukut- Kaumudi, a woman like Mayuri falling for a married man...so much potential to show the complexity of relationships.

100% agree with you , I do hope they donot follow the cliched melodramatic route . Their is a lot of potential in this track and hope cv's donot dissapoint as else it will be the last straw...

Agree totally...they have so much to tell and this is pretty much their last chance...

Guess Diya will post later... I liked the way they handled the issue but did not like the way that CC downplayed it ... CC went all traditional -- mangalsutra , pati seva and all that... anyone understand why she did that?

Mukut seems bent on taking his relationship forward... and Manav was a better foil there as he extracted from him his issues as well as tried to make him feel guilty about his family and kids...

I actually sympathised with Mukut there ... although his way of tackling his problem is completely wrong of course, but one could see where he was coming from, in the examples he gave. The fault is not his, it's his upbringing, where he doesn't even stop to think that if he helped his wife with her chores, with the kids, if he told his parents, specifically his mom, that Kaumudi was his wife before she was the DIL of the house ... then she might have more time to spend with him.

Did not like CC's way of handling it either ... but them Kaumudi was scared and in need of reassurance, she didn't have problems in the marriage as Mukut did, she just wanted a shoulder to cry on and someone to reassure her that things would be all right ... so Chhanchhan did that. However CC had also heard part of Mukut's story, so she should have a clue what Mukut's affair was all about. She did tell Kaumudi towards the end that Kaumudi should fight for her marriage ... but let's see.

This should NOT go the usual stereotyped way of Mukut realising his mistake and crawling back to his adarsh Bhartiya nari wife penitently ... they have raised a real issue here about how mis-matched couples can have troubled marriages ... they need to handle it very carefully.

I didn't like some of CC's dialogues too. I thought CC would try to explain to Kaumudi how she needs to understand that she is a wife too..not just a bahu and mother. Maybe it was too early and will come later...hoping for that.

On the other hand, i liked how Mukut's POV was presented. Of course nothing justifies an EMA, but the incompatibility is definitely there.

Also did anyone else feel Kaumudi's reaction was quite mild..not the actress...just that they moved over to the next scenes very fast.

@bold ... exactly ... I wanted that too ... I hope that will come later, after Manav and Chhanchhan exchange notes ... or after Mukut bursts out with his grievances in front of the entire family. Like I said, I actually sympathised with Mukut ... could see where he was coming from for sure.

Kaumudi's reactions were mild ... almost as though she half expected this to happen.

Even Umaben ... I felt Umaben was trying to shield Mukut ... wonder if she knows about this and condones it ... the view that Mukut is a guy, he can have his affairs if he wants, but his wife has to be the ideal DIL as per her requirements.

I got the same feeling from kaumidi's reaction ...it was mild and she has such low self esteem that she would even accept this situation in her life. Let's see the families reaction tomorrow , maybe UB will try to shield her son , its also a huge loss of face for her ...
this can be a very interesting track as everyone , even mukut who is the biggest culprit is sort of right in his thinking , I just hope they don't take a cliched route here ...
