its our forum and we discuss everything from ep to acting, from dressup to colours, from sets to ackground music...forum doesn't mean to just discuss episodes
and tell me one thing why people are having problem with the posts of nighties?
if we love something cant we share it to the members how much we loved it?
how much sanaya looked beautiful in it?
how much it complimented her skin?
why cant we?

@bold i think this is not constructive criticism

@Bold
exactly Sanu...

Well said dr👏 But one thing that bothers me about the criticism of CC is that few viewers want the show to go off-air as they dont feel it is good. As u said criticism is to improvise the scripts... Be it positive or negative that should be welcomed... Though being a good show, CC suffers becoz of high expectations from the viewers... The negativity happens becoz of that only...

I don't understand about "high" expectations but I was expecting this to be a battle of wits between a mother-in-law who is conservative vs a daughter-in-law who is modern.

Mother-in-law could be adamant, arrogant, insecure, strict, egoistic, conservative, dominating etc. But an evil mother-in-law is just boring.

The show being good is debatable because even a person like my mother who likes saas-bahu shows has not shown any interest in it. And she has no expectations whatsoever.

👏👏👏 Well said and much needed post!!!

I agree with you 100% constructive criticism is all well and good when you actually watch the show regularly. Those who claim to watch it regularly yet haven't found one single positive thing to say about the show why on earth are you watching (yeah yeah, I know it's your time to do what you want with and it's time pass but seriously why put yourself through the torture of watching such a 'terrible' show when there are plenty of alternatives and other things to do.) or perhaps creating negativity is just your thing. I know there are some people who claim to watch the show but as soon as they post their criticism it's obvious that they've missed the whole point of a scene or sequence and I'm sorry watching the show in fast forward for Sanaya doesn't count as watching the show because you've totally missed out on all the nuances and relationship building between all the characters. I agree the show has for various reasons taken a while to find it's feet but it's there now and the story is quick paced and interesting. Just the pace itself makes is different from any saas-bahu show.

Having watched Sanaya's last show it was not any different from hundreds perhaps thousands of shows world over and although it started off incredibly well it was by no means epic. Epic or not I still love it to bits because it resonated with me and in the same way CC doesn't have to be epic to resonate with me. I was promised a light hearted show which shows that modern girls do have traditional values and do know how to behave in an expected way and that's what I got. I wish people would get over the Khoobsurat thing because neither Sanaya or Supriya Pathak were aware of this so called 'fact'.Anyway, it's become part and parcel of this forum that whenever there is an anti Sanaya or anti CC post (whether it be bashing or 'constructive criticism') a whole lot of new names will appear out of the woodwork to give their opinions which they have every right to do. my only concern is that people who matter who scan froums don't know how to differentiate between genuine disgruntled fans and Sanaya haters who are here just to add to the negativity.

The show is banking upon sanaya's popularity... Many started to watch cc for her only, including me becoz I love her... I like the show & I am completely fine with it as this is what I expected when a modern girl enters a strict sasural happens... But from few posts I came across, I noticed that few feel sanaya's talent is being wasted in this show & she should have opted a better one; They have framed an image for her & they want her to do something outstanding & award-winning (I saw it in a post)... That is why I meant 'high' expectations... CC is different from other saas-bahu shows... CC is still ignorant of her MIL's cunningness... Once she knows that, CC will show her wittyness... I am completely enjoying the show... I dont have any problems when ppl point out the negatives of an episode for the growth of the show. If the show is not interesting, then it is better to watch another show that holds their interest & criticize that... And about award-winning roles, I always felt sanaya deserved all the awards as I consider her as the best actress who can portray all emotions easily... But mostly only heroines who cry a lot get those awards... Then sanaya doesnt deserve that award as she doesnt cry most of the time... All her roles be it in MJHT, IPK, CC, LRL,.. too, she was a strong character...

wow, bang on post
Constructive criticism is ok but for the past few days it had become destructive criticism
they were just bringing out the negative points, no suggestions how to improve the show
Every show has loopholes , no one can be 100 %
If you don't find it worth watching , stay out of it, why impose your negativity on others

Very well said, Sonya ... but for the sake of peace, please edit ALL references to other shows in your post! 😉

Personally, I would follow Sanaya in any show, one of the reasons I watch serials is for an actor I like ... I watch other shows for other reasons too ... but this is certainly one of them.

But since the last month or so, I am thoroughly enjoying Chhanchhan, so much so that I now find ALL other shows on air so foolish and over-dramatic compared to Chhanchhan! So I have stopped watching them. I certainly don't go on their forums to point out their flaws, or state that the shows are not doing justice to the talents of the actors or other such rubbish ... And what I find strange is that some people come here regularly to point out all the flaws in Chhanchhan, but never have a good word to say about a single thing ... so they are watching very regularly despite not liking it at all - very peculiar!!!

Anyway, have decided to ignore all the negative posts ... they are simply not worthy of my time or attention. I enjoy Chhanchhan, I come on the forum to discuss it with like-minded people who also enjoy it ... these are the ones who I listen to and discuss with when we point out flaws or shortcomings ... if people don't like it, they will not like anything about it, and I don't have either the time or the inclination to make them change their minds. Putting it simply, it's not worth my time!

Thanks Diya for pointing out the need to edit the post. Done.

Like you said, a person would never enjoy a book if they read it with the assumption that they need to criticize it. I had a very neutral view when I began to watch CC and just like yourself, the show has proved to be a very decent, sensible show worthy of watching to me. Looks like I am not that good of a critic to see how flawed it is...

Oh I so share your philosophy of "it's not worth my time" but maybe it's cuz I am not watching the show this month and I was getting a bit super annoyed with these constant criticism so I found this outlet.
