The Pallu Drops

Chhanchhan is scoring major Brownie points with Babuji ... she will soon achieve Most Favoured Nation status with him ... that is, if she hasn't already! 😆
Dinner time - and the food is a big success ... Ranjana, Sanjana and Kaumudi deny all claims to ownership ... they didn't make the food! Then who did? The food is so good ... and Kaumudi is the best cook among them ...
Chhanchhan meekly and happily acknowledges that she did the deed ... with Kaumudi bhabhi's help ... not as in physical help, but telling her what to do. As she didn't want to spoil the family's dinner with her amateur attempts.
I thought that Umaben should have been more worried about that one ... as it is, now Chhanchhan got the Brownie points for that as well ... consideration for the family.

Umaben seethes ... yet another flop ...
Babuji beams and complains to Umaben that she should have told him it was Chhanchhan's chokha ceremony, he would have got 'nek'. Umaben is forced to say she has organised something ... Chhanchhan stops her ... their aashirwad is enough.
Babuji is overwhelmed at the wonderful sanskaar of his bahu 😳😆 Umaben fumes a little more.

And Chhanchhan exchanges a strange smile with Manav ... almost knowing ... and he smiles back ... his look equally satisfied .. well done.
It really seemed that they were both in this together ... the plan to win over Babuji ... wonder if that is the case. Or he was just happy she had managed to do it ...


Chhanchhan is puzzled ... doesn't everyone pick up their plates and leave them in the kitchen here?
Sanjana says, no, this is not done here, the men don't enter the kitchen, maybe it happens in your maayka.
Chhanchhan murmurs, it's not a question of maayka, its a question of men and women.

But Umaben isn't one to give up so easily. So Kaumudi is dispatched to supervise daughter's homework ... said daughter seems to have shrunk since the wedding ... Ranjana is busy with Manek's medicines, Sanjana is sent to clean the table, Jigu is told she has fever and cannot work ... Chhanchhan has to wash all the dishes as punishment ... for making a good dinner and putting Umaben's nose out of joint.
Chhanchhan seems to be figuring out Umaben's modus operandi. So she doesn't say a word ... just gets busy ... yes, I'll do it.
Umaben seems to be waiting for Chhanchhan to crack ... that's not happening easily ...

Manav comes in to "help" Chhanchhan ... girl, take it from a long-married woman ... if your husband offers to help you in the kitchen, don't stop him, let him help! Such offers don't come easily! And once they stop coming, they stop forever! Besides, weren't you just complaining about the men not doing anything?
Aww, Manav just regained some Brownie points for not helping CC clear the table ... he actually does try to help Chhanchhan in the kitchen! In between all the flirting, that is ...

And he leaves only when Himanshu calls ... Sanjana distracts CC just as she's taking the milk off the gas ... and her pallu slips and catches fire ...😲
Sanjana screams ... so does Chhanchhan ... the whole family comes running and Manav and Kaumudi manage to put out the flames ...

Family conference with a shaken Chhanchhan and (to give them credit) equally shaken family ... Babuji asks how this happened, CC says there was a lot of work and her pallu slipped ... Wish Babuji had asked why she was doing all the work all alone ...
Anyway Babuji decrees ... reeti rivaz are not more important than the family members ... drop the saree. Only Chhanchhan has permission to discard her sarees and wear suits ... till the time she is comfortable in sarees.
SN - Wonder how she will get comfortable in sarees if she doesn't wear them often ... 😉
CC relieved, Manav and Kaumudi very happy for her ... Sanjana happy till she sees Ranjana's face, Ranjana fumes so Sanjana realises she's not supposed to be happy either.

Umaben is simply furious! 😆 Another whammy - her punishment for Chhanchhan got her firmly off the hook for wearing sarees. Now Babuji has decreed it in front of the entire family ... there is no going back.

But it's not going to be so easy ... next morning Chhanchhan waltzes into the kitchen in a suit, and Ranjana can't hold back her jealousy any more. "Why only her? Why not us?!"
Chhanchhan offers to talk to Umaben about making it a rule for all ... Kaumudi is most worried ... this is not going to work ... and it will have repurcussions ...
But Ranjana overrules her ... CC should go and talk ... beard the lioness in her den ... after all, it's CC's head, not Ranjana's ...
CC goes ... leaving a very worried Kaumudi behind ...

For me the best scene has to be the one where Babuji permitted CC to wear salwar kameez until she learns to wear a saaree! 😛

UB - THE BURNING INFERNO!

First and foremost I am in love with ALL the Borisagar men….in the order of - I am totally wau ghelo over Manav…….(dont ask me what's wrong …probably some midlife crisis or whatever)…… then comes Babuji, Manek and Manthan and …ok theek hai…..Mukut as well….he liked her chai naah!🤗

And the women…apart from Kaumudi the rest don't have a heart! Shame on you! This is not done…..😲

From the start of the episode, we witnessed UB seething with anger over her husband's growing admiration and fondness for his youngest bahu…

CC's khichdi turns out to be a bigger hit than the one UB had cooked up with CC & the sari yesterday!👏

And Manav's reward for CC was awww….a pull, a hug and sweet nothings…….and then when he traced his fingers over her bare waist...leaving her completely flustered ☺️

For those of you who think why Manav did not help CC clear the table….He has never witnessed his father do it, nor his brothers clear their plates….how is he supposed to behave differently? Long before his SILs became a part of their life….. it was his mother who did what CC was doing today…..so for him or his brothers…. it is how it is in the B household….

If you notice Manav only looks at CC only when his Bhabhis walk away not when his bros get up and leave….So he is a bit perturbed by his bhabhis behavior…

Lessons are learnt from home….It's the mother who has to instill these habits in their sons and daughters….

My doubt seems to be getting stronger……Manav is fully tuned in about what is happening around him….his mother not wanting to bless CC, his mother aware of making CC cook the family meal without help, his mother asking CC to do the dishes without help once again!.

Uska dil aur bhar gaya apne patni par…..When Manav looked at CC today in the kitchen, the look was not just filled with a deeper love, but there was respect, admiration and a sense of pride as well for the woman he loved!☺️

And CC sees it too in his eyes…that he felt for her…..he understood her struggle, he appreciated her efforts….they were falling deeper in love at that point….

The more UB tries to keep them apart….their love is getting stronger………

And whilst the kitchen flames surrounded CC…UB's pride and ego turned into a burning inferno…..for she and the Borisagar clan were witness to the love their young lad had for Chhanchhan… Manav would never let any harm come to his beloved wife. She was his life…

From then onwards UB knew it was going to be harder to throw CC out of their home….

Diya you have wonderfully analyzed the part where Babuji passes a decree over the salwar suit….so wont touch that bit….

Only that I noticed Manav was not taken up by UB's fake thanks to Thakurji for saving her DIL….he looked at his mother and seemed pretty upset……..…

I know my post today is a bit mushy mushy…..couldn't help it…I was completely bowled over by CC & Manav and then Babuji as well….😳

Sanaya was brilliant in every scene…when her husband is playful with her, when she looks at him with deep love in her eyes….when she is upset over this silly Male vs Female thing, and then when the fire catches is blown out she clings to Manav….the fright, the fear….Sanaya is simply amazing….and then again when she is seated besides Manav…the eyes almost brimming with tears…👏.

Okay just to tickle your funny bones, loved the look that Babuji gave UB whilst blessing CC, it said, "Woman are you by any chance sitting on your hand? What's wrong with you? Bring it up before I drag it up here!" ( I could have gotten bad here….but this is a public forum so keeping it decent!)😉

And UB hasn't' been taught well at her own maika…never snoop upon a young newly married couple sharing a few private moments….so what if he is your son! Gosh woman! 😲

But it was irritating to see her doing household chores by leaning her head to one side constantly to keep the pallu in its place! 👎🏼

I loved Umaben's face when Babuji made that decree. Of course, he was softened up by a good dinner and the aashirwad talks from Chhanchhan ... as well as her spiel about the saree earlier 😛... he was in just the right frame of mind to get her off the hook!

Also liked Kaumudi's smile when CC was told she needn't wear sarees 😃
