Though I have not grasped the stories of the three bahus in Chhanchhan, I feel the creatives are doing a parody on TV bahus through them. While I hope they will have a role in the story, moving forward, and we learn more about each one, right now they seem an amalgamation and exaggerated versions of all TV bahus.

The forever compliant one- " Ha maaji, khana banadu maaji, nashta lavu maaji" and so forth. Kaumudi is also the sacrificing one, keeps everybody's needs above herself and her self esteem is closely associated with her proficiency in household chores. Uma ben criticized her rotis, she almost had a silent breakdown!
Then we have the clever one, who likes dressing up and shirking work, but she is not devious yet, just lazy.
And finally we have the dumb one, who can't think on her feet, and lacks common sense.

All three with "palus" on head and their mannerisms seem like a spoof on all TV bahus and then comes Chhanchhan into this house as whiff of fresh air or more like a tornado!

Right now the three are being used to provide some comic relief, and a contrast to Chhanchhan. Hope they will have more to do in the story.

hehe so true!! now a days everytime i read one of ur comments i find myself smiling and nodding!! 😳

well said!.. it is fun if u look at it in a comical way lol.. i just can't wait to see their reactions to Chhan Chhan..

and then Chhan Chhan laughing outright at seeing them cz she won't get the big deal and might find it weird and actually comical!
i hope this happens lol rather than she taking this seriously at the very beginning...

she can understand that it is a serious business for them later..but first impression for her should be a bag of laughs!! also for us! lol 😆

anyway as i see
Kaumadi - Gopi vahu + lamp and wick
Ranjana - Rashi
Sanjana - Gopi again :p

Thank you! Hope they develop these characters and give us a better understanding of who they are.

Have to say the 3 bahu's have grown on me somewhat and whereas before I couldn't stand them, now I find them bearable in small doses and more so individually. They are truly an amalgamation and exaggeration of all the bahu's we've seen on TV over the years. I guess the reason for 3 very extreme characters is that CC will come and bring them to balance and perhaps learn something form them too...really hope CC will also learn from others in the Borasagar home and not always be right and fixing everyone else. I also hope none of the bahus will be trying to saborage CC's position...UB is enough or that😊. At this point the bahus characters don't seem to justify the amount of screen time they get and I remember getting really irritated when they kept showing the bahu-UB equation...I felt like telling the cv's that we get it now move on and give us more Chhanaya time.

@ sunara, Ranjana as Rashi...totally spot on😆

@Jaya - hehe weirdly enough i love Rashi hehe she is so damn cute! at least she used to be lol i haven't watched it since IPK started.. she was never black.. and her cute bg music always made me laugh.. 😆
helped i guess cz i really like Rucha off screen too..

and ditto on CC learning something even if it is cooking! though personally i don't believe it is correct for the females to be the one to always be expected to learn to cook by default considering both parties do eat equally. i can feed myself cz i would happily live on pasta, and i can barely manage rice and dhal.. but my own bro is pretty good with them as he is a foodie..

but maybe she will learn to accept that though some beliefs and traditions are outdated and unsuitable, there r some people for whom a part of those traditions may still apply. that she shouldn't always say some stuff r andh wishwas, though for herself she has the right to not follow them etc.. (personal experience cz mom pretty much tells me this cz my own family is a little less traditionally skewed than her own siblings' families n me n my bro believe in western/scientific beliefs over some traditional outlooks. she says we r correct but we shouldn't try to force it on them cz they r happy believing what they do on some little stuff n it should be live and let live..)

we r not yet aware of CCs characteristics much to decide exactly what she should gain from them..but i am sure eventually there will be things..this is the only thing i can think right now as to what CC will have to learn..

Thank you Sunara and likewise, I enjoy reading your take on things too ( hawww! are we forming a mutual admiration society😉 )

I thought I will bring some attention to the content, story and characters. I come on IF to read some interesting discussions and analysis on the episode or story, but I guess, the show is not able to inspire many writers yet. Most of the time we are spending defending and justifying why we are seeing this serial! So, I thought I will start with something. Sometimes, discussing and reading other people's perspective makes one enjoy the show more.

Coming to your bahu association exercise...you seem to have hit the nail on the head.
I am also looking forward to see the storm when CC enters the dysfunctional Borisagar family. I hope the writers have those story lines chalked out clearly. It should be a good mixture of humor and drama.

Its good to see post discussing about characters of the show..

This is my first saas-bahu show.I have watched few episodes of the gopi show.I always wonder people like this do exist. She is so sacrificing and dont even utter a word loudly. She never gets angry too.

I hope none of the bahus in cc ill be like that..
First bahu..she is a matured one and adjustable too.
Second one..she is a bit wise but not so smart.I think she likes gossiping and spying on other's activities.
Third bahu..she is very innocent and funny too.
